Wow I feel so empty now that I've completed this drama, one conversation between the leads that I feel the need to share is how Cha Woo Kyung (FL) explained child abuse to Detective Kang Ji Heon (ML): "For children their parents are their entire Universe, now imagine your whole Universe attacking you." The writers did an amazing job of leaving you guessing up until the very last episode. Also with regards to the acting there was not a single weak-link in this cast, HOWEVER the children in this drama deserve a standing ovation for their performances EVERY. SINGLE. CASE. had an affect on me, I genuinely found myself in tears multiple times because of these child stars. This drama is one that I won't be forgetting about any time soon 10/10 would recommend!
Tbh I only started watching this show because I got bored waiting for Angel's last mission's new episodes...and…
I'll have my fingers crossed as well because this writer did that EXACT thing when it came to SITR, hopefully that was a fluke & second time around they'll know better!!
I dropped it after episode 4 or 5 because Cha Min's character was too dumb for me and I wasn't invested enough…
So apparently the writing & characters are confusing/frustrating as well... Ughhhh! Thanks for detailing Cha Min's flaws, it's made my decision to pass on watching this much easier. I like PBY as an actress, but even the greats make sub-par movies/dramas, I'm going to be placing all the blame on the writers & put this in my "not interested" list thanks!
Im a huge fan of Park Bo Young and that's why I started this but its awful. I dont feel like they used her to…
Thanks for your response.! That's one thing that kinda irked me as well with the synopsis because I don't think PBY is ugly/plain looking at all, it reminds me of the CDrama "Boss & Me" where everyone said the same for Zanilia Zhao's character. If that was the only complaint I would've been able to ignore it, but if the writing is a mess as well I think it would be best if I just skipped out on this... Ugh such a shame too because I was so excited for Park Bo Young's drama comeback! >.<

Unfortunately that's the curse of episode 10-14 in most dramas though, and typically when they start to "lose steam" and/or fall apart completely. There's countless dramas that come to mind that fit that descriptions, here's hoping that this one won't fall victim to the curse! *fingers crossed* Lmao but in all seriousness the high ratings as well as how much people are raving on MDL took away my doubts. I'm sure I'll enjoy it! :)
I love this drama to pieces, but then again I loved SitR too. Perhaps the similarities are unavoidable seeing…
Well agree to disagree on SITR lol, the similarities are precisely the reason why I hesitated initially on watching OSN. The music was probably one of the only things (aside from the palpable chemistry between the leads) that I truly liked about SITR, it's been 2 years but I still remember.
Saying that this drama reminds you of why you fell in love with KDramas is high praise especially almost 50 dramas later lol. Thanks for your response, I'll wait until complete and then check out One Spring Night. :)

Wow what a thorough and beautifully written response! I've got to be honest the rather obvious similarities and feel of the show reminded me so much of SITR that I almost put this drama straight in my "Not Interested" list, but Jung Hae In made me hesitate, and your response completely changed me mind. The drama must TRULY be something for someone to go into being okay with a sub-par ending LOL! Thanks for the thought provoking response, I'll wait until it's complete then go into OSN with an open mind! :)
I dropped it after episode 4 or 5 because Cha Min's character was too dumb for me and I wasn't invested enough…
Wasn't Cha Min's character described as someone "smart" lol? That's what I mean I noticed people were criticizing certain character's decision, or even the writing in general, so I wanted to get a clearer picture on whether this is worth the watch or not.
Something in the Rain was my first drama and I also hated how they handle the drama after the 10th episode. The…
I strongly agree with you that 2019 has in fact not been a strong year for dramas, but there's plenty that I'm excited for in the 2nd half of this year! So watching a believable modern day drama will be a delight as long as it stays consistent without delving down the same frustrating path that it's predecessor SITR did... Not gonna lie though I'm actually a fan of cliche tropes I.E. childhood friends, first loves, and etc. lol xD
Anyways you've convinced me, I'll give it a try! Still gonna wait until it's complete because I don't watch currently airing drama (other than a handful of exceptions). BTW if anything in the coming weeks makes you change your mind pleaaaaase let me know! ;)
I'm a fan of Park Bo Young and was so excited to see her return to dramas, while waiting for 'Abyss' to finish so that I can binge it, I noticed that a lot of people don't like this drama... What's so horrible about it!? And if you are someone that did drop this what made you do so??? (spoilers are appreciated because if it's truly that bad I don't want to waste my time)
I'M LOVING THIS DRAMA IT'S MY CURRENT OBSESSION AND I HAVE SEEN SITR THEY DON'T COMPARE I DIDN'T EVEN LIKE THAT…
I didn't like SITR either, but off of a first impression they do look kinda similar (hell they're even written & directed by the same duo!). What do you like so much about this??
Something in the Rain was my first drama and I also hated how they handle the drama after the 10th episode. The…
That's the thing that got me with Something in the Rain, I liked it UNTIL the 10th episode then it was just downhill from there! >.<
Now maybe I asked this question too soon since only 10 episodes have aired thus far, but I know how popular this show is and that's made me really intrigued! I'll probably take your advice about watching the first 2 episodes, otherwise just to be on the safe side wait until it's complete to get the full picture...
BTW you mentioned that this is by far your favorite drama this year, can you share why??
For anyone that's currently watching or even dropped it by now what are your thoughts??? (it's fine if you include a spoiler)
Also if you've seen "Something in the Rain" how does it compare? Because I was getting major SITR 2.0 vibes from this... if that's the case I don't want to go through that again!
According to this June 19, 2019 article Song Hye-kyo is 'in talks'.https://www.soompi.com/article/1333295wpp/my-love-from-the-star-pd-to-direct-new-drama-song-hye-kyo-and-joo-ji-hoon-are-in-talks-for
Funny enough I actually read that same article yesterday lol, but either way 'in talks' is better than nothing!!
Is this real has Song Hye Kyo officially signed on to this?!? I genuinely thought it would take another 2 years before she'd be in another drama again after Encounter!!
For the love of all things holy unless you REALLY love real estate give this drama a skip! Let me just say that…
Yes the leads do end up together but you don't see any romance until episode 44 where they FINALLY kiss. Sure you can tell that Deng Lun's character had a one-sided crush on the FL earlier on in the drama, but it isn't until the last 4 episodes that they actually get together. On the other hand the FL has a crush on the 2nd ML from the beginning of the drama, and even dates him for about 10-15 episodes... just to put those two things into perspective.
For the love of all things holy unless you REALLY love real estate give this drama a skip! Let me just say that this drama isn't awful, but if you are watching because you were excited for this pairing (Deng Lun & Angelababy) you're bound to be disappointed...
I think it is not racist for being not able differentiate kdramas actors. I also take some time to differentiate…
Oh I totally agree that it's not racist with regards to not being able to differentiate between idol members/actors at first glance (I get them mixed up too), but there's one specific person that comes to mind in my inner circle that says "that they all look the same" in a demeaning/snarky way not in a harmless confused manner. I hope that clarifies things, some people are just close-minded which is a shame but oh well. :)
