Since this comes out today, can someone respond to this message after watching and tell me what they thought??? The premise sounds childish & ridiculous, but I'm a fan of both leads...
Can someone that isn't a GOT7 stan tell me objectively what they thought about this drama??? I'm only interested in checking this out because it's a procedural crime show, so I wanna know if it's worth it.
This was the first article in quite some time that I read without skimming, nicely done Kate! Having said that, as an avid drama watcher & frequent drama dropper, my go-to method is the 4 episode test. For a typical KDrama (which is the majority of what I watch), 4 episodes is 1/4 of the drama, if I'm feeling frustrated/disinterested by then, straight into my dropped list that drama goes! For the most part this method has worked out well for me, and saved a lot of time that would've been wasted on subpar dramas.
I agree with you for the ending. It is not practical and may not be practiced long term but on the other hand,…
@forever_ You actually brought up a very good point about his responsibility to both NK & if I was to add I'd say his parents. That I have to agree with as much as I would've loved a "don't worry about us and go!" convo between the ML & his mother it would've have been impossible without endangering the lives of his parents. On a brighter note, even though we didn't see a reunion between Se-Ri & the 5 comrades I really liked that we were shown how they were doing after the time skip! @cloyopt5 Even though I stand by my original feelings in regards to the ending, you're right it wasn't rushed, 'underwhelming' would be the more appropriate term to describe how it made me feel. Glad to see I wasn't the only one that read into the mom's mannerisms during the engagement breaking scene! :)
I need to know what makes this show worth checking out?? I know literally NOTHING about baseball (and don't really watch sports dramas), but everyone seems to like this a lot so my curiosity has been piqued.

Agreed, this was more about fan-service to the viewers rather than a practical/sensible solution! This was just speculation from my end, but while watching the ML's mother & the 2nd FL's mother having a conversation about breaking their engagement the 2nd FL's mother was talking about supporting her daughter's love, and it almost seemed to be making something click for the ML's mother. So I thought there would've been a "don't worry about us, and just go." conversation between her & her son, which would've lead to him leaving for SK or something... guess not. *shrugs* Instead, we got a lackluster time-skip Switzerland fantasy.
Spoiler about the ending read at your own risk!!! - - - Okay so I'm not sure if I understood the ending properly or not, but the entire time the main factor that was keeping the leads from having their own happily ever after was that he was from North Korea & she's from South Korea. So assuming that there would be a happy ending something/someone would have to change! BUT in the last 15 min. of this drama we're expected to believe that after 2-3? years of waiting to find each other their solution is to meet up in Switzerland and live in their own fantasy for only 2 weeks of the year before both leads return to their own lives in NK & SK, and then rinse & repeat come the following year??!!? I mean short-term sure, but that doesn't sound like a practical solution long-term. Did I miss anything?! Their biggest issue is still present, and NOTHING changed other than the ML's job title... I liked this drama don't get me wrong, but the ending although happy was a bit of a let down if I'm being honest. If the ending gave you a different impression please share!
Can I just say I started this drama expecting a fun & exciting journey, but NOTHING had me prepared to turn into an emotional wreck following the brother backstory in episode 10 (won't go into detail because I don't want to spoil it for anyone)! Tears were literally streaming down my face, no BS this an amazing drama!!! A++
Is Liam Hemsworth's life in tatters for divorcing Miley Cyrus? Why should this young mans life be in tatters just…
Hi there seems to be some kind of misunderstanding my question was simply that an innocent question, I wasn't being condescending or judgmental. Also from what I've seen from Asian media (specifically Korean) is that whenever someone is in "hot water" their sponsors tend to drop them & the actors/idols take a break from the industry until the scandal blows over. Hence the reason why I asked the question above, I didn't mention my personal stance on what's going on with AJH I just asked about his role in this drama, and like Excalibur (below) mentioned his image is in "tatters" because of the allegations that his wife revealed leading to the divorce not the divorce itself(messy either way, but I could've worded my initial question better).
Does anyone know if the ML will change?? Ahn Jae Hyun's image is in tatters right now thanks to the divorce drama with his wife, so any news on whether he's still involved with this drama??
