I think this is one of the few dramas that show the real history that’s not so toned down to please the audience.

Yes, the elements aren’t pretty but ancient is hardly pretty.

With that said, I don’t get the hate and negative comments that discourages others to from watching.

I wanna try Japanese, but can’t get used to the language to concentrate for long.

But I also don’t know which dramas would sell it for me to start watching.

I like that in cdramas there’s a lot of genres and variety to choose from.

I also switched to Asian, first kdramas but stopped when the likes of Netflix took over and tried to westernise kdramas too much, I only watch reasonable dramas of faves ( like Ji Sung).

I joined cdramas when I had nothing to watch in Kdramas and never looked back.

I agree, I just said that because it what I see in the comments of dramas I liked and found patriotic.

So, I reckon since I’m fairly new in learning about Chinese history it may or may not be true.

I haven’t personally found any of that. I wish my own country could be half as Chinese in telling its history and stories.

It will get it, the story has too many characters for people to remember or attach to. But since we are almost halfway through, the rating will be higher.
