A refreshing romance story that is well told and gets you involved in both the study of plants as well as the study of human interactions -- why do we do crazy things as women? This was pleasantly told and I give it a high rating.
This is a drama that I wish I had a diary writing down all of the wise and thoughtful comments of reflection to share with my 22 year old son. It is soup for the soul watching the relationships develop and dissolve as each grows older. It is also a great buyer be cautioned when planning your life when you are too young to understand the greed motivations of much older more experienced individuals The fact they are innocent and sweet within their youthful hearts keeps me interested.
Really good Saturday morning movie. Lots of action that was well choreographed and the story line wasn't bad. Quite entertaining. Loved the character development. Hyun Bin is a great actor and the pairing with Yoo Hae Jin was perfect chemistry- oil and water to water and vinegar- a perfect combination. Worth watching.
Drama is losing its charm - the relationships among the characters is becoming plastic and fake feeling. In the beginning really good but as time dragged on it did not do what it should have done -- write a new drama with new plots instead of being an imitation of the Korean drama. Decided to abandon.
This movie is challenging but tolerable (and has adult mature themes) for those of us that can stand some bloodshed and violence that is unthinkable and unpardonable. Since I can't watch horror movies I found this shocking but worth the time watching.and I was unable to stop watching This was not a love story by any means. The director could have done a better job with character development - but he gets the main point across -- I want tell you but I left questioning the ending - which is more shocking that the main story.
I'm on episode 25 after binge watching the first few episodes. It is engaging and entertaining. For a long drama it has enough talented actors to maintain continuing interest.. It is not just the father that is strange -- If you are not a Lee Yoo Ri fan - you will become one after watching this drama. I loved her in Jang Bo Ri and the Promise but she is really is award winning in this drama. I have laughed and cried.-
People are blaming netizens and gossip scandal about this matter. Also acting as if T.O.P., just for his celebrity,…
As non-South Koreans we have become acclimated to a South Korean society based on Kdramas. Because drug use is rarely portrayed -- instead ALCOHOL as the drug of choice--- those accustomed to marijuana use or liberal laws and legalization of use of marijuana would definitely feel this is unfair treatment of a major idol/actor - especially since used in the privacy of his home. I respect the laws of any country but sensationalism to this level seemed inappropriate. Every human wants to live without negative judgments by others -- this is when we feel bullied. Obviously he was unstable - that was why he was hospitalized. I agree with your assessment. We should pray - and pray hard --- always remember there is a reason GOD MADE ERASURES. We should LOVE on him as much as possible to help him restore his self confidence.
It's such a sad news. I try not to follow news on celebrities pertaining their personal life because really…
I feel the same way and you have expressed the feelings we should all have. I am disheartened because the press and public went after him like piranhas. No compassion -- and the gory mess is he is in the hospital (possibly a mental wreck), No one wants to be judged, and definitely we all make mistakes. What is so troubling is this was in the privacy of his home. Even if illegal the idea of being threatened with long term jail sentences for puffing joints just seems ridiculous from an American prospective. More than 44% of all Americans have confessed to at least experimenting with it -- gosh the whole country would be behind bars.
Just started watching and already addicted.Everything in this article epitomizes my feelings about the characters. I laugh so hard sometimes I disturb my neighbors. Cute and engaging and because the actors are top notch it should be a good 50 episodes - even if the story is developing faster than most K dramas. Hopefully, they can maintain the quality.
This is an imaginative and flawless Korean drama that transcends the usual cliche type dramas. The more you watch - the more addictive it becomes. It is paced well and the easy transition from present to past amazes me -- one of my biggest complaints about dramas that attempts to intermingle scenes from the past into the present I agree - with the author of this article - a MUST WATCH - especially if you like Quality of acting, writing, cinematography and direction. An artistic dream for the viewer. Don't let the complexity or weirdness of the first few episodes stop you for forging forward -- it won't be long before everything you viewed will be explained and make you more committed to viewing.
Nice story. Able to follow all the characters from beginning to end. Gave a high rating because the writer did not hold back on action -- strong woman drama with romance secondary.
The only reason to watch this drama was Jang Hyuk. He immersed himself into this role and was so believable as an obsessed but caring policeman ready to kick ass when needed and take the hits as well. Love all of his dramas -- I can't give him enough praise for his work in this drama. Story was extreme int he beginning - couldn't watch without hands over my eyes and in fear and feelings of mortal anticipation. Later the show dialed it down a few notches so I was able to sit in my chair throughout the entire hour. But the writers never left the suspense out of the story and made it a masterpiece to view. Not perfect -- because all police dramas leaving you asking WHY? -- "are you alone", "why didn't you call for backup sooner" why are they so dumb sometimes" but that is only a writers flaw -- police work is detailed and realism- "like just shooting the person to make them stop" probably only happens in America.
I agree with WareedBarech. The drama really started out strong then went south so fast. Nothing about the story was plausible and everyone was stupid in the end. It was a 25 episode story told in 54 episodes. I feel robbed of time - I don't blame the actors because the underlying premise of the drama sounded intriguing but quickly the writers had writers block and decided to just photocopy old script lines to try to keep it going to the bitter boring end. Only the initial story with the kid actors is worth watching - then skip to end.
100% agreement with your comments. It was the best directed, acted, cinematography and emotional investment. I couldn't stop crying after episode 57 and even when it ended I still cried. WHen my husband told me he dreamed about the show I knew then the story was so vivid and making a major impact in our lives daily. Sometimes I would watch raw because I couldn't wait for the translations. THe dialogue and script writing was entertaining and plausible throughout. Just pure enjoyment. Definitely will rewatch.
A guaranteed historical classic. This drama transcends most of the run of the mill "canned" drama formulas. It actually told a consistent story and employed the best director, actors, actresses, script writers and cinema artistry. Not perfect but close to it -- the chemistry made this one of my favorites. If you love love you will love this drama.
This was my marathon drama for the week. I don't believe I watched all 132 episodes. However I decided to fast forward through some scenes after deciding which characters I wanted to focus on more. I would not recommend this drama unless you just have a lot of time to waste . The story could have been told in 25 to 30 episodes but it became a merry go round - stopping to drop some characters and add new ones in its attempt to keep the story fresh. Usual drinking scenes of spinless men and yelling scenes of frustrated or scheming women, mothers, or mother figures. Older adult children were mindless robots controlled by parents. The usual social status abuses and discrimination based on birth. Nothing special so I would not recommend unless you are really bored with your life.
decided to watch the 2003 version before watching the current remake. I enjoyed the 2003 although slow as many comments indicate. However, the 2016 version is fresh and the actors are doing a good job so far. Light comedy at best but enjoyable.Looking forward to the future episodes to see how adaptable they become to current trends in k dramas without the cliches of course.
Love it - initially watching because in love with the acting of Park Shi Yeon. Was pleasantly surprised to see her in the drama However, the illness of Ji Soo is reducing her role and changing the focus of the story All of the actors and actresses are strong and talented and even though the story line appears to be the same old same old I'm hanging in there and enjoying the drama..praying it doesn't become boring or bog down in cliches.
