If you are iQiyi subscribers you may be better off emailing them and asking them to add the title to the international platform since they already have China rights. They have translators on staff so you’d get it faster. Most fan subnets have day jobs it will take forever for them to get it done.

This is a very interesting theme that is often explored with no right or wrong answer. In Love & Destiny for example, Ling Xi's reincarnation Lin Mo emphatically told Jiu Chen before giving him her life pearl that she is Lin Mo and not Ling Xi. In Heart of Genius which is about parallel worlds Pei Zhi's father insisted to his son from a parallel world he is not his true son because we are all shaped by our shared memories and experiences. In the show, the main characters explore relationships with their parallel world parents and friends but more or less decide they are not the same people even though they have feelings for them nonetheless. I don't think this drama will answer the question of whether Yunxi and Dengdeng are the same person. We the viewer have to decide for ourselves. I don't have a strong opinion yet but I will observe that Yunxi and Lu Yan's story ended before it really got started.

Yeah Deng2 is starting to do reckless and dumb stuff. I mean she always did but now she kind of knows she is in serious danger and she is still doing it. If she continues like this, this drama is definitely gonna be a BE and no one is gonna be shocked.

I actually think Lin Yushen could play a pretty good ZCS.

His voice is fine but line delivery needs lots of work.

It is a real pity non of it rubbed off on his acting. I was kind of sad to see their marriage fail as well. They were a beautiful couple.
😘 Tyvm for sharing - I used to like listening to his Canto-pop albums but since he migrated to Mando-pop I haven't really kept up.

He really has aged super well - I saw him at a restaurant recently. And Yam Tat-wah bought my friend's flat recently. I have two other friends living there I keep asking their doorman whether he has moved in yet! Geez I am gonna turn into a stalker soon.

Hahaha I grew up on Gum Yong books and dramas I would never have learned to read Chinese otherwise. I love Lau Dan's Hung Tsat-kung, he is such a fantastic actor no one else can play that role. (Btw - he was Yang Mi's father in law). And I also overall liked Chun Wong's Chow Pak-tung but tbh I think his acting in places was over exaggerated, esp when he was acting crazy. It is not one of my favorite Gum Yong characters.

Yes Miu Kiu Wai was a pretty good Wong Yeuk See too but to me he will always be Yeung Hong, the villain I always felt so sorry for. Nobody writes stories like Gum Yong. All this talk is going to make me go home and binge these old TVB dramas. I really wish someone would go back and touch up all these classics the way they did with Western classics like Casablanca. Nobody since has ever figured out how to portray these characters the way the old HK TVB actors were able to.

He was also the best Wong Yeuk See, one of my favorite ever Jin Yong characters.

The young Hu Fei is pretty reckless he just goes charging in. Its his instinct and character flaw.

Yes credit is as credit due, Lin Yushen did a slightly better Yang Xiao. But still the 1986 version is the gold standard.
