I've watched till ep 8. So far, he is not interested in QLF and has never consumed with her. Looks like he will develop feelings for FL first so not likely that will ever consummate with QLF. At least not willingly or out of his own accord.

We've to put it into context. She is a country bumpkin. Growing up in remote place, never had been out and protected by her dad all along. So she is not super smart but she gradually gets to understand the outside world and adjusts to it. She mainly depends on her strong morale compass and instincts to navigate.

I'm liking the show so far. The acting, set and props are good. The actors also use their own voices. The story line is refreshing and funny. No irritating characters. There are antagonists but their evil plans get uncovered and countered by the leads very fast. So no/minimal angst. This is a contract marriage and marry first and fall in love later type of show. So if you dig such themes then you'll like this show too.

I'm wondering the same thing. Apart from the romantic vibe, there is also the mind control capability which only the Yin descents have. There is a scene where Yin Xiao mentioned that he cannot read Yin Zhuang's mind when he supposed to be able to. So maybe they are not biological siblings after all. But it hasn't been confirmed in the aired episodes yet.

This show has probably the most actors/actresses of Uyghur ethnicity. I just realised that Abi (one of the weaving Palace maid) is the actress who played Adu in Goodbye My Princess and is an Uyger too.

Yes, both gals are likable in their own right. This story is interesting and can't wait for the next episodes to see how it unfolds

I believe he really developed feelings for her. Just not sure in what degree. He may not be willing to forgo his grand plan for her but he has enough feelings to care and get jealous
