I predict this will end up like Oh My Ghostess, Bong Hwan was only helping the King to acknowledge his cloudy…
Huge difference with Oh My Ghostess is that we did have some time of the souls switching around. So while the ghost set them up, the girl was aware of it happening at the end. Here, the queen doesn't seem to be aware of anything that is happening. If she were to suddenly return she would be shocked at the reactions of the king and likely not return his affection for a long time.
I dropped this one at the very first episode in october because I didn't like it . Seems like I am a minority…
My advice is to try it until the ending of episode 3. If you still don't have any interest in the main leads by that time then drop permanently. Just be warned that this drama is still a very different vibe from ITSAY. An important process of starting to like this drama is to grow fond of either the cute and shy male lead or the flirty and caring male lead. If you don't like either character types then its gonna be difficult.
At first I was watching this for the serious mental games I was expecting, first few episodes were seemingly going towards that plot. Then as episodes progressed and the insane characters fully bloomed I just found myself laughing at the tense/scary moments. Keep in mind, thats not a bad thing, I was loving the experience. The insane characters are so extra that watching them interact is a joy, the actors go all out in the performance. Not the mindgame drama I expected but a lot of fun regardless.
I feel like King is not falling for Queen (incl. male in her) but rather they're laying the foundation for King…
I mean I've seen tons of BL shows so I can imagine it but it would indeed be something new for Korea if they did that. Since Korea is pretty conservative about that for mainstream series
Her twerking to DDU DU DDU DU was the bestmy throat hurtsHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
That scene was amazing!!!! I watched the Youtube version first and they didn't have the Black pink music (copyright reasons) so I was happily surprised when I finally saw the episode https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrVJv0BhOBE
Any luck finding out what Adachi painted on EP12 OP?
A different user here took a higher definition picture of it. I'll likely do a post on it sometime in the future if no further developments happen but its still pretty vague for now. I'm guessing its one of those things where we can give our own interpretation (Unless Akaso actually says something about it in an interview). Found this on twitter, it's for people who wanted a kiss (of course it's a edit)https://twitter.com/ChrisPh27889022/status/1342443114812751872
LMAO Thats the Weibo sign in the downright corner of the picture. I knew it was only a matter of time for the Chinese fans to make that edit look real enough Edit: Based on the Weibo username in the picture (二回学长) I got the original poster: https://weibo.com/5144601345/JA1xxuNhN
The queen has already been massively flirting with the female characters though so in my perspective that's LGBT.…
Alright I love discussing this sort of stuff ^^ I will go along the ideas and ignore the dramas version a bit for now XD
1. ''Would their current personalities and inherent inclinations would be any different had they no past life at all?'' Religions surrounding reincarnation often believe that the deeds of past lives follow us into the new one (in the form of karma). In regards to personality/inherent inclinations I think very little would be capable of passing down unless mayby the individual was born with the right circumstances to express them. Like a soul of the same culture being reborn in that same culture and growing up in very familiar circumstances. With current human population numbers thats unlikely to happen and of course we don't know if time is a matter in the rebirth of souls. Can you be reborn 200 years in the past? Mayby time is different in the afterlife. All we can say for sure is that if souls are reborn their memories are wiped and only the core being remains. For example mayby that core being is just a soul with the attached result of the deeds we've done or the information could be cryptified into the soul, inaccesible.
-''Are their experiences being engraved into their souls rather than just being memories of their current body, as there is gradually reaching the wholeness in Daoism hence reincarnation of the soul in different vassals, and are their souls have any qualities that would differentiate one from another or are they just blank sheet of papers, all equal to one another at the creation?''
Even if there are experiences being stored into a soul...In the case of rebirth these would only be temporary, lingering memories. Like the scary stories you'd hear of haunting ghosts that have lingering wishes.
Some believe (for example certain Buddhist monks) that to be free is to let go of eartly desires completely and through that reach the ultimate state of human conciousness. In this case we would let go of our individuality. The focus on rejecting individual needs in these types of reincarnation religions does point to a seeming conclusion that there is no escape of the reset of our soul or rejection of selves. We either join the collective universe by rejecting our human individuality or we get our soul reset every time. Now the exact details of this soul reset are obviously a mystery and you can think of multiple ways this occurs. Encrypting the information of the soul or a complete wipe of individuality to restart the trial of humanity. In the second case, rebirth doesn't matter to our concious selves on earth right now. We'd disappear or in the better case, get encrypted as information. Thinking about reincarnation is kinda depressing when you go into the options. Rejecting your human self to escape the trials of humanity or getting reset forever. Either way we lose our human identity, to some that may not be a loss but to me it is.
Another interesting theory is that we are all the same individual soul. Getting reborn over and over into each time period. For what reason? To learn? Could we just be part of a program running options on living organisms until the ideal path is found? Mayby a question was posed to a computer on how life could prosper and we're currently a very long experiment of that question. Whatever we are, it's not like we have a choice but to accept what we have in this reality.
