I wouldn't worry too much, he's likely aware of his risks a mayby even carries an antihistamine shot with him for emergencies. Its much more likely the red eyes are from other causes or even just a light reaction to his allergy medicine. I highly doubt he's doing anything experimental cause its commonly accepted that allergies can't be cured and only managed through medication. This medication against allergies basically just stops your body from reacting to the allergy for a while. Its not something dangerous. However, its best to avoid things you're allergic to cause the reaction can worsen (or lessen if you're lucky) over time. So thats why he still needs to avoid fruit. Just in case.

Oh I've been keeping an eye out on jdramas. The only ones where you will find scenes like in Thai-BL as of 2020 are yaoi movies but it works like this. From most wholesome to not wholesome.... Japanese BL -> Thai BL -> Japanese yaoi movies
