That's usually when Dramacool takes the subbed episode from fansubbers without their permission. Dramacool is not translating this show themselves and is also not involved with any fansubbing team translating the show.

All the subbed episodes on the dramacool sites are either from the larger fansubbing team with this logo in the lower left-corner: ✎ღ or icedragontmr who posts their subs on their Tumblr blog (credits at the end of the video).

Yeah my previous one was Cherry Magic but I thought it was time to change it up since Kieta Hatsukoi was gonna be airing around the same time. Had a good feeling about the show

I get your fears and I know the Johnnys reputation all too well. However, there is one thing that keeps my good faith for a kiss alive. And that thing is ''Be Love (2020)''.

People thinking that this is Johnnys first BL show are mistaken. There was one before and that one did include a kiss (watch the trailer). Yes it may be deadfish kiss but it's there. It wasn't a popular show internationally because availability was very limited, the story wasn't great and it was very short. Less than 2000 MDL users watched it which is less than the amount of people currently watching Kieta Hatsukoi (more than 6000). But it was a sign from Johnnys that they were willing to try.

So I do think there's hope. However, I do understand that in the end its up to whether the agency decides its ok for the actors yes or no. Even if they allowed it in the past it's not a guarantee for this one. However that's why I have a level of faith in this.

I do think its again important to state that of course it will not be more than 1 kiss max because that's kinda expected at this point. Japanese BLs can be compared to KBLs in terms of expectations for intimacy, although of course a KBL is a guarantee for a kiss while a JBL hasn't always been.

If you check this drama page occasionally you can see a timer which shows at what time an episode of this drama airs in Japan. This unsubbed episode is then downloaded and translated by fansubbers who understand Japanese. To get a quality fansub takes at least 24 hours (if all involved fansubbers have time/are available).
So if you check back here tomorrow same time then it may be available by 1 of the ~3 higher quality fansub teams working on it.

Yeah they skipped the mixer content. Must be cause of short episode time and limited amount of episodes.

I'm ready for it

The gay couple is the main story and will have most of the screentime. But the straight couple is also very cute and receives plenty of attention too.

We won't know for sure until the entire show has aired, no matter what the manga does. But I do have good faith that they will include one. Mayby I'm wrong but we will see.

As far as I know there has been one article about a Japanese movie with a gay main character. But that one didn't have LGBT romance in it. So I think that's what is being avoided.

Yeah they have it stated in their article guidelines/rules not to write about BL. Just adding here that those rules have since been unlinked in their respective forum posts. I accessed them when they were still openly available as a guideline but I'm not sure it's still easy to find on here.

While some managed to get through that guideline with just small mentions of BL shows there hasn't been a full BL article on MDL ever. Untamed and all other danmei are already censored when aired so I'm not counting those.

Some people do love the show but their rating system tends to be on the lower side overall. So you get ratings of 8 for this show from people who do really love the show but rate lower overall. It's still a very high total rating.

I'd be more concerned about why its not in the top airing list on the MDL frontpage despite being the most popular airing jdrama right now. This show was removed from the list of airing jdramas for some reason. Considering MDLs way of dealing with BLs in other ways (zero BL articles) it's a bit sus despite other countries being unaffected.

It's really adorable to watch. Would recommend for some lighthearted fun.

His interest in Hashimoto has been explained by others extensively so I won't bring that up again. As for the points I still wanna make:
Unless Aoki states himself that ''I only like men now'' he isn't gay but still bi. The only thing he does say in the manga (from my memory) is that he only likes Ida (which is a person, not an entire gender).

I understand disappointment if there is a representation that fails your expectations but love stories are unique to each person. Wanting Aoki to live up to your standard of what it means to be ''a raging flaming bisexual'' kinda seems like erasure of the diverse lovestories that fall within the category of bisexuality.

Agreed with this. It's just a lighthearted lovestory and this whole discussion makes it seem like the creators commited a crime by just having a hasty lovestory in a 10 episode show.

I liked some parts of it a lot. An interesting story for sure and a lot more serious than I thought but I didn't mind that.

That's 2 weeks less of active interaction after building up a decent fanbase on MDL. It'll matter if you want a comment number that high. If those 2 weeks didn't happen there'd likely be ~2000 less comments on CM.

You'll see a wave of user activity after each episode. Those will continue to grow slightly larger every time and will peak when the show finishes airing. After that activity does drop quite quickly.

Cherry Magic has more than 15.000 comments which Kieta Hatsukoi unfortunately won't reach due to its shorter duration (10 episodes) but yeah for a jdrama its a lot ^^
