In theory this is correct, and I laregly agree if you have a neutral feelings toward the actor.
But, it is much harder if you don't like the actor.
I agree it is a bit shallow, but sometimes you just can't control your feelings :)
Peronally, I like kim Soo Hyun very much (not my top Korean actor, but certainly high), but I must confess that I have an issue with another fairly famous actor, but I won't mention his name lol.

I would say IOTNBO is better than this one on pretty much every level apart from acting which is equally good here. How many episodes you have watched?
I am NOT sayong QoT is bad. I am enjoying it very much, but IOTNBO is better imo.
Even Chemistry. KSH & KJW have great chemistry, but I still think he had more with Seo Yea Ji. Finally it has great acting by Oh jung Se.(his cameo in this series was great to watch)

But, I don't feel I said anything that suggests I am "blindly following" someone.
You stated an opinion. I replied politely, and didn't accuse you of anything.

This is not unique actually. I must admit that I didn't lookup the disease, because as long as there is even 1 in a million chance of survival, she will lol. So, to a great extent the disease doesn't really matter a lot (The writer chose something with the brain because it serves other plot points such forgetting, or being unaware of whereabout)
But, the principle of coming up with made up diseases is not new. I have seen it done before in movies and books.

I think you are right that they don't sound great in English, but it depends a lot on your mother language, and your own exposure to English.
However, I disagree that it was a show off (at least in the scene in this series), or they needed to use a translator.
Speaking the language of the other person is a show of respect. You are showing that you are trying. In the context of this series it is even more valid, because they also need him.
I felt speaking English made complete sense.

King The Land was popular in 2023, but I am willing to bet huge money that this YT video is wrong.
There is NO WAY that KTL was more popular than The Glory.
The Glory is one of Netflix biggest shows regardless of the language.
The only credible source would be Netflix itself.

I dropped welcome to samdalri after few episodes. I don't think QoT like that either, but it is certainly closer to Samdalri than the much more serious MLN, or My Mister.

If you like slice of life, then maybe have a look at "Black Dog". It is not very well known, but I thought it was really good (maybe not as much as MyMister, or Blues, but still better than most). It is a work place drama set in school, but it is about teachers mainly.
Another good workplace drama is Hot Stove league, but this one is quite well known.

In many ways this is a second chance romance.
It is nice change, and I am really enjoying it. I enjoy the trope of falling in love with the spouse again.
I just wish they tone down on them looking flustered by proximity. That just doesn't work well for married couple. These people have slept with each other. They are not going to be awkward by touching hands no matter how distant they have been recently.

Isn't that what friends do? They talk and discuss things out.
You are annoyed because you see the big picture, but friends most of the time think about their friends interest, and don't see everything.
Alsi, it is the ML who is confiding in him and telling him secrets and about his day. That means he doesn't mind his friend opinions.
..Not to mention that the friend is very correctly pointing out to the ML that he loves her.

You don't have a lot on your watchlist to guess your taste.

Depth and romcom are not mutually exclusive. You can have both.
Is this drama deep? based on 4 episodes, not very. BUT, it is not trivial either. The leads have some bad sides to their characters, and they are dealing with some serious issues although it is presented as dark comedy.
Hard to tell what you consider "healing"? Also, it is has been only 4 episodes.

Lets first agree that drama, no matter how realistic, it is drama after all. Having this in mind.
I think "My Mister" is the best healing drama you will see. But, be prepear for some very harsh realities.
Some other dramas that have very little or no fluff at all are: Our Blues , My Liberation Notes (Incidently also starring Kim Jiwon, but she is not glamorous at all. You get to see her in a different role)
Not sure whether you will find them "healing" though. But, these have a lot of realistic life depiction.

Tarantino and Scorcesse last few movies were very long. So, I was trying to combine the two things in one sentence.

The ML is great, but so is the FL.
As they say, it takes two to tango. Their scenes are electric because they are both great. It wouldn't have worked if it was one sided.

Also, Kim Jiwon is a very good actress, and has variety of different roles.

All that said, you are entitled to your opinion, and if you don't feel she is good that is you right as well.

Try to find some of the more measured reviews giving reasons behind why they like it/dislike it.
Personally, I think it is good.
Good things:
*Fantastic leads. They are both great actors, and their chemistry is great. Basically all their scenes together are great. Some are wonderfull.
*Interesting lead characters: Both lead characters have good and bad sides to them, which make them interesting and intriguing.
*Lead story arc: Their backstory (which we have seen just bits of it) and their potential arc is very promising.
*Dark humour. That is personal, but I am loving it.

So=So things
The biggest weakness is that side characters and sub-plots are not as engaging, but it is mitagated by great cast.

Bad things: Atm, I don't think there is anything outright bad.

Generally speaking, I am conservative with my ratings. I think giving high ratings easily is harmful.
For example out of 56 dramas I have watched, I gave 10 only to "My Mister". Series I gave 8+ make up only 50% of my viewing.
