How does it ruin season 1? Nobody is forcing you to watch season 2
Ok. I am just frustrated with the phenomen in general, and maybe not to this specific series. I escaped to Kdrama because they have one season, but I am seeing more and more of them getting second (and potentially more) season. Please don't tell me just don't watch it lol. I know that. I am not going to watch it, but i can't close my eyes and ears. Information about subsequent seasons of popular series are everywhere.
I agree, one of the reason I dropped western shows for Asian shows. With the way Disney destroyed the Star Wars…
Your initial statement is correct. But, don't you see the irony of complaining about generalisation, while you conclude the Kdrama fans are pure toxic? :). Not, everyone is toxic. In every fandom, you will find all type of people.

True, but you can't avoid the noise and information. I am British, and I have been living with American multiple season system. I would say 70% of the time subsequent seasons are not as good as the original. The one season format of K-drama is one of its best features. Sadly, now that Americans got in this will slowly change. *Sigh*
I had doubts at first too, as I am also quite tired of the superhero theme. But it's definitely still a Korean…
Thank you. I appreciate that. From your and other peoples answers I might give it another try. I don't hate American dramas. I watched them for decades, but Kdramas touch my feelings in a way that American shows manage it only in rare ocassion. Hell, even romantic comedies make me tear up lol. But, if the series also has heart and emotional attachment rather than just action, then I might give it another chance.
Fyi, the story plot is completly different from the Western superpower shows. So it's not the superhero genre…
Ok. Thank you. That is good to know. I didn't feel that from e1, because it had very strong American shows vibes not in genre only, but in storytelling as well. But, I might be wrong. I might watch 2 or 3 episodes more if it is really different.
Dropped after Episode 1. It is perefctly watchable show, and there is nothing wrong with it. But, I want to watch Korean drama, not American one set in Korea with Korean actors. Based on ratings, I am clearly in very small minority though. Btw, I am not upset, or anything. Good forpeople if they are enjoying it. I am just praying the Kdrama don't go the same route as American and get populated with superheros and season 6 of this and season 7 of that.
DUH!!! This was the best drama of the year but didn't win Baeksang 💀
I stopped caring about awards like Oscars and Emmys decades ago. This is no different. I am just happy for the individuals, but they mean nothing to me.
This is a good drama with a lot of heartHan-su & Eun-hui - 9.0/10 (good story introduction to what is to come)Yeong-Ok…
I felt that Mi Ran & Eun Hui was a good one actually. Their scene at the table in E13 ? was amazing. Personally, my least favourite was Cheun Hui & Eun-Gi. I kind of agree with you that it was filler. That said, that little girl is SOOO adorable :)
My favourite is probably Yeong-Ju & Hyeon (combined with their dads).
The series is getting better and better. E8 had some powerfull scenes. This is certainly the most realistic Kdrama. The young people (and their dads) storyline is my favourite so far eventhough I am middle aged, and I didn't have similar personal experiences. But, I thought the dialogue is excellent, and that young actress is really superb.
If there is such a thing like an objective evaluation, then this is probably the best I have seen so far. A fantastic depiction of ordinary lives. BUT, I don't think this will surpass "My Mister", or even few other ones. The issue is that the series is going for breadth, and while this will give us an opportunity to delve into more , we are going to miss the depth of having one story. That said, if the standards continue to be that high, then this is certainly going to be in my top 10.
I am against S2 as a matter of principle. In my opinion the series wrapped up well. We don't need to be told every single thing how it ended. Also, this is essentially slice of life. A bit of open ending is perfectly fine. I moved to K-dramas to escape the American shows and their endless seasons. I really would hate to see K-dramas going that route.
I am at episode 10. The first 7 episodes were good and very entertaining. There is absolutely nothing new, but it is well executed show. E 8-10 the plot started to become a bit ridiculous with increasing amount of suspension of disebelif required. I must say that it is still entertaining though.
This was my second K-drama back in 2019. I have good memories about it. I think it is very good series. I gave it 8/10. The father, in particular, was excellent. My only problem with it was its length. If this was the typical 16 episodes, it would have been an easy 9/10, but unfortunately it dragged BIG time in the middle.
Finished it today. The only thing kept me watching was Shin Hye Sun, and I must admit a great help of the "Forward" button lol. It is not a bad drama at all. But, it is VERY bland. Way too cutsie for my taste. Also, I didn't care for Chan and his rowing one bit (btw, I was SHOCKED to learn that he is the ML in Business Proposal.). This is the third drama where SHS is female lead where I find it disappointing. It is a pardox. Eventhough I think she is an amazing actress , for some reason I don't enjoy her dramas that much with the exception of "Mr Queen", which I loved. 5.5/10
I write this comment for the ones looking for a comment/review amongst the glowing 9's and 10 . I really do come…
Although I consider this as one of the best dramas I have ever seen in anylanguage, your comment is really very good. I often give an example of two people watching a painting. They don't disagree on what they are seeing, but they can react to it very differently. Now I am going to check your full review.
If you liked this drama, I'll recommend to watch "My Liberation Notes", not quite the same but has and an overall…
I decided to watch "Another Miss Oh" before watching "My Liberation Notes", which I haven't watched yet. I think you should watch it, because you can see the seeds to My Mister. It is nowhere as good as My Mister. It has a LOT of silly and cring "humour", but when it is good, it is very good. I gave it 7/10. I think My Mister is one of those rare cases where everything clicked. The writing is exceptionally good, but also the rest of the creative team. I think My Mister is even better on second and subsequent viewings.
Remakes are rarely as good as the originals. That said, sometimes they are not so bad. My Mister is one of my all time favourite in any language (Top korean), but I am curious about this one, and I will certainly give it a go.
