Wait why I didn't see this in the top airing list?
My guess is that Amazon Prime is not as globally available as Netflix (Prime is an additional Amazon service that you have to pay for). Also, I don't think it was avialble in all territories. Amazon also didn't promote it. As a consequence, much less people are aware of it. There are almost no reviews in English for it on YouTube despite the high ratings and the very good reception by those who watched it.
I seem to be in minority who is not that bothered who will turn up to be Ki-Ho. I am curious for sure, but it is not my main focus or biggest anticipated line. I am looking forward much more to the reintegration of Mok-ha into society and how her relationship will develop with Yoon Ran Joo.
E2 had so much emotions! The tickets lady handing 2 tickets after hearing the story made me chuckle and touched at the same time. Very strong first weekend.
NO Spoilers please. Does the story wrap up? I don't care if it is happy or sad. All I need to know wheter the story has an end, or do I have to wait for another season. Thank you.
I find Hye Eun character inconsistent and her behaviour is hard to understand. So, she cheated to get adopted.…
Regarding the test. Myuong wasn't just scribbling. He was actually answering, but he was laughing (I think they wanted to tell us that he was carefree). On contrary, Hye Eun was struggling with the test. But, at the last minute, she switched the papers, and got chosen. This incident means that HE was the clever one.
It is a bit strange that such a clever child grew to be such dumb adult (albeit very kind hearted). The only way I think of that she became more clever than him is that those experiments helped increase her intelligence but not as much as the doctor hoped.
This was great first episode. The young Mok ha was an actual teenager and really good (the girl from Our Blues would have pulled that role as well, but I think she is a mini-star now ). The two teenagers interwind stories were done so well. Touching without being OTT. I also REALLY liked the scene with the fish towards the end. I liked the symbolism of it.
My biggest complaints is not huge, and it is within the limit of suspension of disbelief. She seems to have a LOT of stuff. My God how many umbrellas she had lol. Logically, the Island must have been close to shore for many reasons, How she wasn;t found for so long then? But, as I said, it is within the acceptable limits.
I wonder if there are any people here who read the book, because there are a certain things ( one character in…
I find Hye Eun character inconsistent and her behaviour is hard to understand. So, she cheated to get adopted. That, by the way, implies that Myuong Jun is more clever than her. How he became later to be like this is a bit strange. Anyway, one can argue that she got more clever because of the experiment that improved her, but not to the desired level. But, later she marries him and they have a child. There are no indications that she was a bad mother before leaving. She even said she left because she didn't want her daughter to be stigmitised, and wanted to spare Myung Joon the emotional dilemma. That shows she cared for both. But, her later actions are completely different. So, was she lying? Also, I am totally puzzled that the daughter didn't recognise her when she woke up from surgery (unless this is a translation mistake). I mean she must have been around 8 when she left. That doesn't make sense at all. Her indifference towards her daughter is really strange. yes, some parents are horrible towards their kids, but we haven't been shown any reason for that. She might be greedy and bitter, but she is not a complete whacko. I also don't fully understand why trying to frame Myuong Jun for murder by asking to kidnapp the girl? Why she hated him so much? Surely, getting him involved and trying to frame him is much worse than just letting the girl wake up on her own.
I wonder if there are any people here who read the book, because there are a certain things ( one character in particular) that doesn't make much sense to me. More in the spoiler.
What an amazing young talented actress Yuna is, the end of episode 11 made me cry buckets of tears/ its bloody…
The end of Ep11 made me cry as well. That was high emotions. Genius or not, she is a child. Even if they didn't make me cry, I would say the court sppech about freedom was also very powerful , and the backscratcher as you mentioned. Not all child actors make a successful transition to adult ones, but I think she has a very high chance. She actually acted well and had fantastic chemistry with her co-star. The praise she is getting is really more performance related rather than for being a cute child.
"Good" is not the same for everybody. But, I believe it is very good. It is a multi-genre series, but its best feature is the relationship between the kidnapper and the child (not spoiler. the kidnapping happens very early, and it is in the title). So, in the middle of the mystery, chases, deaths, it is really a simple story about the evolution of that relationship. The main duo are fantastic together. Like most kdramas, this will put you through all emotions. I would say watch it. It is also nicely paced without dragging.
I absolutely HATE this post credit sequence stuff, whether it is in this one, or other ones.If their aim was making…
I totally agree with you. The chemistry and dynamics between the lead is the heart and soul of the series. I knew it was based on a novel, but didn't know it is a series of books. It is a mitagating circumstances lol. Either way, I will not watch. One of the biggest appeals of Kdrama to me is the one season format.
This was really very good show (minus the post credit section which was needless, and it had the opposite effect on me than what creators/network wanted). I throughly enjoyed it. YKS & Yuna were SOO good together. Without their chemistry the series wouldn't have been that good.
Definitely one of the best of 2023! Curious which direction it will go with that cliffhangar if they decide to…
I absolutely HATE this post credit sequence stuff, whether it is in this one, or other ones. If their aim was making me want more, then they achieved the opposite. Now I have to forget that sequence that certainly decreased my overall satisfaction Personally, I will just ignore it. If they make a second season I will not watch.
After 10 episodes. A tiny part of me feel sorry for Jaden hahaha. He is really having a rough time as well. I have to say that Park Sung Hoon looks much better as a cop than a bully.
I respectfully disagree. What made "My Mister" unique is that their relationship wasn't romantic (at least not for him) The beauty of it is the human connection and love between people that transcend the physical. Had they ended up together it would still have been fantastic series, but it would have lost some of its magic. ....and btw, I have nothing against age gap. I don't think it is ideal, but if both parties are willinglly going into it, who am I to object?
So the bully from The Glory and the gangster from Squid Game are the main detective and his boss. What a turnaround lol. After 6 episodes, I am really enjoying this very much. Good mix of thriller/mystery, humour, and emotions. The kid & the kidnapper have such a great chemistry.

2 more episodes.
He wasn't the main one, but he was part of the gang.
He played the marbles game with the "main" gangster.
