As a remake of the famous "You're beautiful" this japanese version was fair enough. Honestly the story is almost untouched except little things that i liked them adding it especially at the bigenning and at the end. The korean actors are a little better than the japanese ones but i loved Mio better than Go Mi Nam.
Some characters differs a little from both versions but what insures me the most that the music is the same i mean of course they translated it to japanese but it was a nice move i was afraid that they would change it.
Finally, i prefer japanese over korean when it comes to the language issue so to end this i would say that each version is nice on its own way and let's not forget that the japanese version was faithful to the original one.

One of the first Kmovies i've ever seen.
To say the truth i did found it a little unusual at some parts plus i didn't exactly like the lead actress and to be honest i've only watched it because i just like the lead actor but then as the movie went on i found it nice, the rich boy thing, the troubles of the past, everything was nicely done, worth watching since the story is good enough to make you waste your time on it and since the movie was cool.

I've read many great reviews about this drama but I guess they're giving it a lot of attention that it shouldn't have. Yes, the drama is cool but you can't possibly have high expectations because you may get disappointed.
Anyway, the story is nice and different which matters the most, the actors were great plus they had one of the most awesome chemestries out there and let's not forget the great supporting roles.
I had fun while watching this drama this is one of the Taiwanese dramas that i don't care about the language while watching it because i was so focused on the great events.
If you're hesitating about this one and haven't watched it yet then you should give it a go but don't get your hopes too high.

1) The reason I watched this:

The first reason was Yamapi then I read about it in a well written blog by a friend of mine therefore I decided to give it a try.

2) Storyline/Plot:

*Generally speaking, it's a romantic story wrapped up with some comedy and let's not forget the fantasy element represented by the "fairy".

Positive Points:

*I can't think of many positive points in this drama but let's speak about the main genres present here:

--->Humor: I think it's the only element that I appreciated it while watching the drama, it's not like I laughed so hard but the funny scenes thrown every once in a while were good to watch even though they weren't freakily present but the random choice of humor was good.

Negative Points:

--->Romance: Considering the fact that this is a romantic story, I haven't felt the romantic atmosphere till the last episodes, I kept waiting and waiting for something lightening to happen yet it was practically the same each episode: No major changing, that's why after watching the first 3 episodes I knew that I have to wait for the end to see the major changing when it comes to romance.

*The story development was really slow as annoyingly slow; you know how the episode will begin and how it will end. The last 3 episodes of the dramas were the most important ones when it comes to story development, other than that it was moving like a turtle.

Story rating 5.5/10

2) Acting/Cast:

*Yamashita Tomohisa:

So Yamapi is one of my favorite actors, he's the sort of actor that I feel happy when I see him on screen not to forget that he's one of the main reasons why I started watching this drama.
Now let's be objective; no matter how much I like Yamapi I have to admit that his acting was really poor in this drama, I haven't felt anything, it's like he haven't delivered a thing that can touch me: Sad but true.
Ken character wasn't good, I liked it at some points but I quickly lost interest in it, the main reason is the slow movement of the drama that made it so dull.

*Nagasawa Masami:

I am not familiar with her as an actress, I hate to admit this but when it comes to acting she was better than Yamapi but that doesn't mean that she was dazzling; she was acceptable.
When it comes to Rei, she was really annoying as a character, I didn't like the character development; it was really bothersome to watch.

*Other Cast: Some the supporting roles lacked development (such as Mikio's character), some of them were fun to watch (Hisashi) and the rest weren't bad; acceptable overall.

*Relationships:

--->Friendship: The only relationship that I appreciated while watching this drama, I enjoyed watching the friendship between Ken, Rei, Mikio, Hisashi and Eri; it seemed pure and pretty strong in a way that makes you want to see more scenes were those 5 are gathered.

--->Romance: I haven't felt any chemistry so it wasn't that great but again it's all due to the slow development of the storyline.

--->The triangle: When I speak about the triangle I would say that it existed while it haven't actually exist; Cryptic right? Well, that's because there wasn't the usual feelings of a triangle when you see Ken, Rei and Tetsuya.

Cast: 8/10
Acting: 6/10.

3) The ending:

"I made it!!" That's what I was thinking when I finished the drama. I knew from the beginning that the major development and the "jump" of the drama will happen at the end, it was all expected.
Since there was a Special after this drama, I don't think it would be considered as an ending yet both of the drama and the Special endings weren't any different.

The ending: 7.5/10.

4) My Impression (How did it affect me):

*This drama had one of the slowest storyline's developments out of all dramas that I’ve seen so far. As a person that have the lowest level of patience, it really played with my nerves, I won't deny that I skipped many parts because like I said you know how every episode will begin and how it will end.
*It's one of those dramas that I wanted to reach the last episode to find out what will happen (even though I already anticipated it), I just wanted to finish and get over with it. It was simply one of the boring dramas that I’ve seen.

*Is this drama memorable: Partly yes. Even though I didn't like this drama, I will remember those boring feelings that I had while watching this and I will remember not to recommend it to anyone that has a slow patience level.

My impression: 4/10.

5) Overall:

*If you're die-hard Yamapi fan then you will like this.
*If you don't mind slow development then you may like this.

*Proposal Daikusen is a drama that you have to wait for the last episode to see the major change; if you don't mind that then I think you won't hate this.

Overall: 6/10.

1-The reason I watched this : As a huge fan of Itazura Na kiss I was hunting down all the dramas adaptations, this was the 2nd adaptation after I saw the disappointing J-version.

2-Storyline/Plot : This drama cut many events from the manga; there were some changes from the original story but the plot was the same. The foolishness, the childish events, those happy romantic and sometimes sad dramatic moments were present which brought back a lot of memories from one of my favorite stories ever!
It was fun to see this adaptation even though I wasn't really dazzled since it lacked many important events.

3-Acting/Cast : I like Kim Hyun Joong because he's attractive but let's face it hes not that great as an actor plus his Beak Seung Jo's coldness really was exagerated sometimes yet it reminds me of Naoki's personality in the anime.
Although OH Ha Ni was a stupid stalker, I never found her character annoying (Probably because she's much better than Kotoko in the Jversion)
The supporting roles were really great especially Baek Seung Jo's mother; her character was really good to watch (a nice change from other evil mothers in Korean dramas) plus Bong Joon Gu and Oh Ha Ni's friends remind me of those from the anime.

4-The ending : Well, there is the YouTube Edition so this is not considered as an "end".
It would have been much bette if they extended it or made a second season because it didn't have much core like the Tw-version.

5-My impression: I felt the story of Itazura na kiss all over again and most importantly I was able to gorget about the J-version disappointment. Even though, I wanted it to be a little different but I didn't hate it.

6-Overall : If you are Itazura na kiss fan you need to watch this.
If you like rom-com then you may like this.
If you like seeing cute cast theb you would like this.

P.S : The korean version was a medium between the disappointing Japanese version and the marvelous Taiwanese version.

1-The reason I watched this : I remember watching this on TV with some friends a long time ago.

2-Storyline/Plot : It was surprisingly good since it can be considred as an old drama; the struggle of an old fat girl to fulfil her dreams and fix her love life at the same time. Events went in a smooth way that's why slow moments were almost absent.

3-Acting/Cast : I believe this was Hyun Bin's debut; he was really good in her. Sam Soon was good too but she can became a little annoying at some points.
Overall, the acting was really good plus supporting roles were good enough to add some appealing developments to the general story.

4-The music : I don't actually remember it but I believe that it wasn't that bad.

5-Rewatch value : I can't do so but I can't deny that some people would love to repeat the whole drama again including my friends who watched it with me.

6-The ending : It was a good final although I expected more.

7-Overall : As one of my first dramas this was quite good because it was one of the steps that started my passion for Asian dramas.

1) The reason I watched this:

I think it was because of Son Ye Jin since I liked her in previous roles so I thought that she would make me fall for her again. I didn't have much thoughts when I decided to watch this film, I just went for it.

2) Storyline/Plot:

This film's story isn't special or unique, I ran into this type of stories everywhere. I would say it's the Korean version of the American film "How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days".

Positive Points:

*This film's story took me to the concentration mood at the beginning but then things didn't stay the same.

*Main Genres:

--->Comedy: I couldn't consider it as humor because it's far behind that, the comedy was respectful and not boring, it wasn't very funny though, it haven't brought me laughter or even giggles but I appreciated its existence and its space in the film's general time.
I was wondering where should I put the "comedy" element since I found positives and negatives in it then I thought it should be mentioned in the positive points column since it's not hateful nor boring but it isn't special either.

Negative Points:

--->Romance : At the beginning , I thought that the romantic story would be very intresting so I preapared myself to like what's happening and what will happen next but then, I was literally annoyed by the romatic concept; there were many moments that were vexing and irritating that I almost dropped the movie.
Considering that this film is a romantic comedy, I don't believe that the romantic element delivered much, actually it was the exact opposite because the romance was absurd.

*Another negative point that I should mention : everything about this film was predictable, not because its ressemblance to "How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days" but because the storyline made it so obvious that I was expecting everything before it happens and it turns out to be the exact same. It's true that I anticipate a lot but I hate it when all of my expectations come true because it means that the film didn't surprise or create the suspens element.

Story: 5/10

3) Acting/Cast:

*Son Ye Jin:

Thinking that I had high hopes because of this actress is just "wrong". I loved her previous roles in some dramas/films but here it was a huge disappointment. It's true that her role here was different but I would like to forget that she took part in this film and keep her previous image in my mind.
The character made me feel uneasy all the way through the film; I know it was decided by the storyline but if I am uncomfortable with one of the lead characters, that means I am disturbed by the whole film and that's what Han Ji-won's character brought me. I was never excited to see her on screen , as a player, as a lover or as a serious character I never enjoyed her performance not to forget that the character development was really annoying!

*Song Il Gook:

When I watched this film, I had no idea about him as an actor, he was introduced to me through this film. I don't believe that I hated him, actually I liked his acting here; it was good but not perfect.
The character wasn't that great but wasn't annoying like Han Ji Won's character. I beleieve I liked Seo Min Jun's charcater at first, it was interesting to see but since he became so involved in the players game and his initial character changed, I think that I lost intrest. Howaver, I wasn't uncomfotable seeing him around like the lead female, it was normal.

*Other Cast: Well, I don't remember them much so that means they haven't left a great impression within me but I don't believe they were annoying or that bad.

*Relationships:

--->Romance : Although I was irritated by most of the romantic scenes, I thought that the chemistry was quite accepted.

--->Friendship: It wasn't that present but I had to mention Han Ji Won's friend was partly "disturbing"

--->Seo Min Jun's relationship with his father: the only relationship that I have no complains about since it had a lot of great moments and funny scenes.

Cast: 7/10
Acting: 5/10

4) The Ending:

One of the most predictable, usual endings that anyone can see it coming ever since the film started: It didn't intrest me at all but that doesn't mean that it was a bad ending.

The ending: 6.5/10

5) My impresion (How did it affect me):

*At first I thought I was going to enjoy this film but then everything about it seemed ridiculous. I don't drop films or I would've dropped it from the first 15 minutes.
*I can't exactly describe my feelings while watching this film; for me it was "just a film" that annoyed me and I wanted to get over with it..

*Is this film memorable: Not at all, it was another non special film that I would forget after a week..

My impression: 3/10

6) Overall:

*If you're romantic comedies lover then you may actually like this.
*If you're looking for entertainement there's a tiny chance that you may enjoy this.
*If you're looking for a special story with great actors, I can't recommand this.

Overall: 5/10.

1)The reason I watched this :

I was looking for a romantic film and I was attracted by the title so i just watched it.

2)Storyline/Plot :

It was kind of a sentimental film that plays on feelings somehow.

Positive Points :

*I can't find many but i will mention that the way they mixed some stories toghether was nicely done, i hoped that they would go a little far but anyway it wasn't bad.
*So-hyeon and Ji Woo's love story was intresting to watch.

Negative Points:

*The plot isn't a new thing, it was sort of predictable and I hate it when it's that way.
*I don't think script writers did something original with this film's storyline: it could've been so much better.
*Execpt So-hyeon and Ji Woo's love story, others were annoying considering considering the fact that it was a romantic film.

Story: 4.75/10

3)Acting/Cast :

The reason I kept watching this was Jung Il Woo and Lee Yeon Hee presence because they were always cool actors to watch but other actors weren't that bad because the chosen cast were a strength point that counts for this film.
Chemistry wasn't that great but the lead actors communicated. I wouldn't go harsh on the characters because of the disappointing storyline.

Cast: 8/10
Acting: 7/10

4)The ending:

That sort of ending was expected ever since the film started, it really bugs me when the storyline heads to the expected.

The ending: 5.5/10

5)My Impression (How did it affect me):

*It didn't affect me simply because I haven't felt anything from it since I never had interest in it.
*This was a film that I forgot right after I finished watching it.

My Impression: 2/10

6)Overall:

if you don't like this films actors then you wouldn't like this.
*If you're looking for a special romantic movie then this is not it.
*If you like sentimental love stories then you may like this.

Overall: 5.75/10.

The story is the one from Hana Yori Dango so it wasn't a new one, i actually went on comparing between the two versions and even the chinese and taiwanese versions. To tell the truth, this one contains the most outstanding cast i totally love F4 but i didn't like the lead actress, she was really annoying to watch.
This version was fair enough, it feels good to watch yet i still don't believe it's the best version out there.

1-The reason I watched this : Simply because I watched the anime so I was excited to see the live-action adaptation.

2-Storyline/Plot : For me it was predictable since I already saw the anime; I really liked how the characters came to life in a sweet way (except some characters)
Of course, there were some missing things since the drama is shorter than the anime but it was acceptable overall.

3-Acting/Cast : I've got to admit that I wasn't expecting this cast plus I am not familiar with half of them yet I liked most of them because they grasped their roles perfectly.
Although I can't say that I liked Yamamoto Yusuke's Tamaki because it was overdone in many ways but I have to say this: Kyouya was my best character in the anime so I was anxious to see how he's going to be here : Daito Shunsuke literally dazzled me and made me love his character more. Other characters were really enjoyable to watch too.

4-The music : it was J-rock so it was sort of cool somehow.

5-Rewatch value : Yes, it's rewatchable since there are a lot of moments that deserves the rewatch.

6-The ending : It was cool but since there's a film coming up I don't actually consider it as an "end" yet.

7-Overall : I had fun while watching this, I felt like seeing the anime all over again only a little faster. There were too many hilarious moments and chaacters in here.

P.S: If you already seen the anime then you would enjoy this.

1-The reason I watched this : At that time I was going through a slump so I randomly picked this one after reading the synopsis and end up watching it somehow.

2-Storyline/Plot : At first, the story started perfectly, I was feeling every second and having great expectations for what will happen next. However, when Lee Seol became a princess things started to fall apart and it felt like the storyline took the wrong turn; it wasn't completely ruined but I loved the beginning more.
There were too many slow moments especially when the triangle took place.

3-Acting/Cast : I always liked Kim Tae Hee as an actress but as a character she wasn't that great. There's Song Seung Hun who's the only reason I finished this drama not because he's a great actor but because he's *insert shallow feelings* but seriously the lead actors had awesome chemistry.
I never liked Park Ye Jin as an actress plus her character here didn't help because the triangle was one of the most weak points of this drama.
There were some interesting characters here and there but overall the acting department wasn't very satisfying.

4-Music : I still remember it until now; it was cool, not too typical not too extravagant.

5-Rewatch value : Maybe there are some people who would like to see this again but in my point of view only the steamy chemistry moments need to be rewatched.

6-The ending : The ending wasn't that special but it's forgettable simply because I loved the last scene (shallow thoughts).

7-Overall : It's not a great drama no matter how much I think about it. The only reason I enjoyed watching this was because of my shallow feelings for Song Seung Hun and the steamy chemistry. Other than that, this is not a must-watch romantic comedy.

Many would say that the story ressembles "You're beautiful", i felt that way too at the beginning but as the episodes went on i see how unique this drama is, i mean the story of a girl dressing as a boy is known before yet this time it's felt special somehow since she has a strong personality that's different from Go Mi Nam Go.
After completing the drama i would say; this drama could have been much better but they cut it short and ended it in a way that pissed me off somehow, i wanted more and i was expecting a better storyline in the last 2 ep, they left it open in a way that didn't satisfy me but i didn't hate it, i just was disappointed but no regrets, i had fun watching this drama.

1-The reason i watched this : i was randomly going through Tv channels and i accidently found it, at first i wasn't interested then i just couldn't get my eyes off the screen.

2-Storyline/Plot : Totally loved it, i mean there were an unusual story; it's true that it's a historical-action story but it got a lot of twists, feelings of love, hate, betrayel, injustice and many other things that keep you hooked up for the hole time and what i mostly loved about the storyline that it got a lot of versions for the same story; just so creative in my point of view.

3-Acting/Cast : I liked it somehow and of course Jet Li being the lead male is the strength point that made me watch this; i just love his acting even others were cool, not bad i guess.

4-Music : the normal historical music that you find in chinese movies.

5-Rewatch value : I guess it won't be that good to rewatch it since you already know all the important twists that made this movie intresting.

6-The ending : Didn't like it but didn't hate it either, i just kept watching silently without any reaction, i guess i was expecting that kind of end from the moment i started to watch the movie.

7-Overall : A nice movie that deserve to be watched specially if you're action-romance-historical fan. I have no regrets even though it wasn't Jet Li's best movie but like i said it worth watching.

At first, I wasn't even interested in this drama but I watched it out of my friends recommendations and all the great reviews that I found everywhere, so naturally I had great expectations and I wish I haven't. Yes, the drama is good but i was expecting more.
Anyway, the cast here have one of the most believable acting skills ever; I was extremly captured by that. The music was nice even though I don't actually focus on any drama's music but here it sticked in my mind.
To tell the truth what actually bothered me about this drama was those moments where the boss liked Eun Chan as a boy and all the parts related to that; I was disgusted by it sorry but I hate those gay moments; It's just my opinion anyway. Beside that the drama was good, I fell for it and for the cast especially the princes; I liked each and every one of them, I laughed a lot in many scenes they had together plus they were so cute.
Yoon Eun Hye played her role in a great way here, she's one of the fewest actresses who's very believable as a boy even the supporting actors were good.
If you're a rom-com lover then you need to watch this.
