I am confused. Why did the little emperor announced that he is “Xiao” clan? Same last name as Xiao Xun not…
The surname of everyone in the Imperial family is Xiao and XX is the young emperor's uncle (father's cousin) so they have the same surname. The emperor's mother was from the Xie clan so he's technically a Xie too, that's why he was saying that he is a Xiao to show his interests lie with the state not the Xie clan.

Yeah, she became the Grand Princess as a guardian of the young emperor with the condition that she'll never marry or have kids while she held the title so that no one else could benefit from her power. The idea was to tie her father's army of 200,000 frontier soldiers to the emperor to solidify his throne.
I didn't pay full attention while watching and now I'm confused at ep 4. Can someone remind me how FL became a…
In the past life, she became the empress because her fiancé, later husband Xiao Xun became the emperor. In the present life, she went to the last emperor when he was dying and convinced him to give her the title of 'Grand Princess' so that she can protect the young emperor, Xiao Yu.
Still on ep 17 but I gotta say this drama is one of the rare instances of young emperor done right. Xiao Yu seems like a child he is but at the same time, he can hold his ground and you can clearly see that he has the makings of a good emperor.
I dont know how many can understand the joke but ye li and prince li relationship is similar to paro and dev form…
Been a while since I watched the movie, but wouldn't Ye Li be Paro in this scenario? Devdas was lamenting over Paro while she was married to someone else because he didn't marry her, right?
glad I dropped it at 15, couldn't move past the absolute absurdity that episode 15 was..didn't have it in me to…
I see, I understand your frustration since I kind of felt the same about the bell dude and was a little unsure about the drama in the first arc but everything became more clear and better from the second arc for me. Though I personally liked that they let Linglong on her own from time to time instead of coddling her just because they were stronger. It allowed her to gain more confidence in her skills and also showed that they trusted her to be able to hold out on her own.
Yeah, it's honestly better to drop and cut your losses when you don't vibe with a drama instead of forcing yourself to watch it, there are always more dramas out there which you'd enjoy and more worth your time.
I love how the weather cooperates with Ye Li in all her shenanigans, just imagine all those spooky scenes without the wind blowing and leaves rustling, not nearly enough impact 😂 And that lightning strike was divine intervention at its finest😭
