Title Love of Silom Spoiler
But OMG, downed with a dildo headshot!!!! He'd never live it down if it were a real life thing LOLPS I'm watching…
70 mins first ep, 60 mins, the second. I don't know how long the regular version is, so can't say if they're different. The UNCUT does have some 18+ parts, but mostly it's sex toys uncensored LOL, nothing handsy yet (if at all).

Title Fate Chooses You Spoiler
Wow, the first episode is really solid. I didn't expect such an atmospheric beginning. I'm completely taken in…
So Lu Huai needs to die by lingchi and his tie to the world is through his marriage. And she needs to cast off the marriage bad karma through her third marriage (but she didn't marry the previous two fiances, so how does that compute?)

I'm kind of feeling bloodthirsty here, I hope they show at least part of the lingchi in the next eps and that she gets to witness it - I mean, she HAS to take in those two Lu kids, doesn't she? Any decent human being errr, immortal, would. So she'd still be around in two days' time. And are every Lu clan people also War Demons?!

Is this RJL's real voice? I've developed a thing for nice, soothing voices, he sounds so calm and controlled, I'm kind of wishing to keep listening to it for a long time. I WANT more out-to-get-it, in-complete-control-of-their-fate characters. (ETA OMG it's Bian Jiang, he's dubbing Lan Zhan!!!! No wonder :D) Come on, Lu Huai, rebuild that Heavenly Bridge, the gods are STUPID and deserve a takedown for what they caused!! I mean, WTH, you're going extinct or something, at LEAST release all past punishments that are almost completely done anyway!!!

On Fate Chooses You Apr 25, 2026
Wow, the first episode is really solid. I didn't expect such an atmospheric beginning. I'm completely taken in by Lu Huai's character and I want to see how this develops. I even liked the initial exposition of WHY this needs to happen like this (and I usually don't like that LOL).

I just hope Chu Ying has a bigger part in this, LOL, he's so talkative hahaha~ he'd be the one to expose each and every secret he ever learns (and he's not even a War Demon, how come he's helping Lu Huai?!)

I'll have to make time to watch this one as it airs, it looks like it's going to be a good one :)

On Love of Silom Apr 24, 2026
VERY promising first ep. I am amazed by how well Poom emotes (though I prepared myself with a fast rewatch of MSI LOL). Totally loving his Wayu character - he's cute and sassy and I'm completely on his side of the war.

I just hope Krit doesn't break his heart (I bet he will).

I just opened ep1, and in the first three minutes there are a bunch of HOT strippers LOL, I even liked the blonde scum pimp. I vote for Wayu and the other four to do the Your Idol dance hahaha~

On Sold Out on You Apr 22, 2026
I am not yet sold out on it, though there were funny parts and I'm also a bit let down that AHS didn't walk in on EXO's Love Me Right LOL. I mean, it's his anthem now hahaha~

Anyway, I don't like love triangles, the SML's character seems childish, the FL's workaholic persona already feels old, I bet there'll be a lot of mistunderstandings and all. The seeds of a hideous past reveal are already sown etc, I kind of already see where this is going. And I am used to it.

I'll watch the second ep for ML's sake (because hey!! his voice IS healing, LOL), and then I'll see if I want to stick with a predictable romance-and-shenanigans drama or look elsewhere. (Though one point in its favour - he fights Typhoon Romeo and next time Typhoon Juliet LOL, hey PD-nim, you dropped your alphabet letters' order :D)

Are historical cdramas usually this gooood??This drama reminded me so much of Empress ki. Strong female lead,…
This was not historical. This was a romantic costume fantasy drama.

If you want an AMAZING "historical" drama (I'm using quotes here because it's not about an actual historical kingdom either, LOL), try Nirvana in Fire. THAT one's a masterpiece, though there's little romance in it.

ETA

Actually. Costume dramas with good plot and characters that I'd recc to anyone

1. Nirvana in Fire (the best in plotting, character growth, perfect length, nice ending, little romance though). There's a second season too, for those who want more.
2. The Untamed (xianxia - danmei censored adaptation - that means, Chinese BL for those who would rather not - amazing plot, great soundtrack, a convoluted three-pairs-of-brothers story.)
3. Joy of Life (political plot, some romance, humour, amazing characters, still isn't finished - 2 seasons out of probably 4 are out)
4. Fangs of Fortune (xianxia, demons and mortals, great storyline, lovely characters, amazing soundtrack, good actors)
5. Guardians of the Dafeng (isekai, wuxia, subtle plot that hides behind a humouristic take on the story until it gets to hit you over the head with the ending. S2 in production, S1 had a good ending anyway).
6. Blossom (by the same director as PoJ, good leads, intricate plot, takes its time to get to where it's going, IMHO it has a much better pace than PoJ).

,.. For starters.

Hickey-causing activities happened all night long, it's just that the censors and their parents are all virgins and can't see that or they'd explode, so they don't allow anyone else to see it either.

S4?...

And they're only now preparing to start production?...

So we're looking at least at a 2-year wait for S3, then at least another 6 months for S4 (last I remember, they put that half-year in between seasons rule).

Oh well, I guess it is what it is. Then there's no real hope for SSS S2, right? :(

Title Pursuit of Jade Spoiler
Eternal Faith was filmed years ago, right after TU made a huge splash. (Also 2ha was filmed, and many more were…
Danmei is Chinese BL. It can be set in ancient or modern or the future times, it can be in any genre (wuxia, xianxia, xuanhuan, modern, ABO, anything LOL) but it always includes a romantic relationship between two men (usually the top/gong and the bottom/shou, kind of clearly separate in roles, attitudes and actions).

The Untamed is based on a danmei novel called The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation (Mo Dao Zu Shi - MDZS) and it's author wrote TGCF too (the novel Eternal Faith was adapted from). At the time, danmei adaptations were kind of allowed, so they censored the hell out of it (if you REALLY want to, you can ignore the undercurrents). Then investors noticed danmei adaptations were where the money came from (TU made a HUGE amount of money, particularly considering it's a web drama and helped grow Tencent into the behemoth it is today) so they put into production LOTS of danmei adaptations, some of which were filmed completely and only needed the censors' approval to air. And they included huge names - at the times, or that became huge later - for example 2ha involved Luo YunXi and Chen FeiYu as leads, and it's completed and won't ever air because of the ban.

... Because after TU, Word of Honor got a bit more enthusiastic and the CCCP didn't like that. They had reversed the one-child policy but people being non-hetero or non-conforming or ACCEPTED as such by the population made the powers that be in China to actually ban anything danmei (at least for now). Some smaller productions moved outside the mainland, but the dramas never aired there officially and it's seriously being frowned upon now. Taiwan tried to pick up a few novels and adapt, but they don't have the huge sets and grandeur of the mainland industry, so the dramas tend to be shorter and simpler.

So yeah, again, in short, that means Eternal Faith won't ever air and even IF it aired elsewhere, the cast themselves would probably wish it never happened in this climate, since it would seriously affect their careers. And after all, they work really hard to build those careers up, you can't blame them...

PS If you're so inclined, you could give TU a try - it CAN be watched as having a very deep bromance at its center. But for someone who does like danmei, and has eyes to see, LOL, it's kind of very hard to ignore what's actually about. (And the story deserves it, even if you ignore the relationship completely).

ETA Here's my favourite TU trailer (fan-made, no spoilers, put subs on) for a look-see:

Title The Untamed Spoiler
Could soneone explain WITHOUT spoioers? I'm on ep 1 and it's so confusing. Is Lan Zgan now around 33 years old,…
There are two timelines. One is the present time (eps 1-2, 33-50), the other is the past (3-33).

WWX got a new body all to himself since MXY sacrificed himself to summon him back from the dead. MXY wasn't really mad, he was betrayed by his family and the clan of his father, and someone gave him the means to bring back WWX for revenge. WWX isn't too pleased about it himself, initially - BUT, he's not a revenant or a ghost using someone else's body, it's just his, now.

The age thing is a bit mixed. Since they obviously used the same actors, their ages are lowered or brought up as needed, LOL. The young versions in the past have their timeline see them through about 15-18, then it's a 13 year time gap before WWX returns (in the novel, the drama makes it a bit longer). MXY is around 17 when he sacrifices. So yeah, technically there's a time gap between WWX and LWJ, but not really, because there's an extra thing - they and mostly everybody in that 'verse are also cultivators. Cultivators just age differently than normal people (even wuxia-type fighters), so age is more of a complementary thing, not really meaning maturity or anything the like.

After completing all zhang Linghe's drama I went to watch his upcoming dramas and found "Eternal Faith"....…
Eternal Faith was filmed years ago, right after TU made a huge splash. (Also 2ha was filmed, and many more were in production - like Seizing Dreams for example, among many others). It's based on Heaven Official's Blessing (TGCF), a danmei novel by MXTX, the author of MDZS, on whichTU is based.

No matter how much they'd censor it, it will never see the light of day now, after the basically total ban on mainland danmei adaptations. Even PoJ had to censor Song Yan's actor's face because he's ML in a BL drama (officially produced outside the mainland).

So, in short, even if ZLH is credited as to star in EF, do not expect that drama to ever air (unless some other country buys it and releases it, which is extremely doubtful). At this point, starring in a danmei adaptation might mean their careers will be forever stalled. We can only hope things change in the future, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
