Title Guardians of the Dafeng Spoiler
So the dark force erased everyone memory of XQA. Then Master Wei fight the dark force and die, but dark force…
The mystify spell erased all traces of XQA (not perfectly, but it was never perfect anyway, and it's breakable). Later on, Wei Yuan went to fight the Witcher Sect and did die, but XQA made a deal with the Sorcerer (his father) to give back WY's body, that XQA sent to the Bureau together with a little spell book about restoring souls. In exchange for that, XQA has to go to the Sorcerer, which he does in the end.

The Emperor forgot all about XQA, just as everybody else, so none of his friends of relatives will face his revenge for the death of his (the Emperor's) brother.

The Crown Prince didn't take over... and I kind of think he won't ever. I wouldn't be surprised if Huaiqing ends up an Empress in the Dafeng.

If you think of it like the room made by the Supervisor in order to take XQA to Dafeng, then that room might not…
I bet they're playing in Supervisor's huge sky platform :D

As for the colleagues - they're ordinary humans, and Supervisor didn't need to take them in the Dafeng either, so a simple illusion should do the trick.

What is the objective of the story as the ending was going nowhere. I like the humour parts and the 'person' at…
It works with just one season, TBH, though I'd obviously like to see more. The deed is done - the wrong is made right or at least punished, the hero - while forgotten - has done his part. (And he's not even truly forgotten, people do almost remember him or at least know there's someone missing.)

It's kind of symbolic, too - one shouldn't expect a reward for doing the right thing, or allow fear of consequences to stop them from doing it. We all care about ourselves, true... but from time to time, people do sacrifice their own safety, needs, wellbeing and yes, relationships, for the sake of others. That's what being a hero means. IMHO, that's what the drama tries to tell you.

Wang Hedi’s "Vlog of the Complete Record of the Wonderful Journey in Another World".In the long time, joy, anger,…
It looks like at least a few scenes (particularly from the final ep) were filmed on a sound stage, the dialogue sounds just like in the final cut. I like that (it keeps the raw emotion of the actors in the heat of the moment.)

1. Was the fact that Duke Zhenbei is the Emperor's brother mentioned anywhere before the Emperor is told that…
It's lost in translation, mostly. He is Zhenbei WANG (which normally translates as "King" (Emperor is "Huangdi"), but since there is an Emperor, his title now translates - or should have - as "Royal Prince". And then the relationship isn't such a surprise (there were people who had other titles, but the way they're written and read do point out the relationship to the throne.)

As for point 2, how could they even begin to be cautious when 380000 people were slaughtered by the very person who was supposed to protect them and was sent there with the specific task to do just that?! They themselves didn't kill Zhenbei, Xu Qi'An did, and XQA is from an era where royal status means exactly nothing (they actually did keep the last emperor alive for quite a long time, and he had to live just as simple - or hard - as his former subjects.) They DID go back (with the body), and STILL had to ask the Emperor for a censure of his brother (or he'd be buried with all honours and his deeds put on others, as it happened in the end, actually).

I mean... we can be blasé and say - but in historical dramas people always cover their asses first and never ever contradict the Emperor. But we're human. If we were exposed to such an atrocity, we might as well decide to do something about it. XQA did it more hands-on than the rest, but they too were shocked into action.

Title Guardians of the Dafeng Spoiler
While I enjoyed this greatly, I have more questions after watching Episode 40 than I had throughout the whole…
This drama will not have a sad ending. I spoiled myself to the novel's ending, he becomes an actual Martial God (as in, an immortal). It's a long way til then - but the ending with his 2nd Rank Sorcerer dad and their "Luke, I am your father" moment :D spells of good things to come (if they do make a S2, which I kind of really think they will).

As for them forgetting him - think about it like this. If they ALL hadn't forgotten him, his family would be killed by the Emperor, his friends too, Wei Yuan would've been at least thrown out but most likely also killed, everybody would have suffered - he's not really that important yet to just take on the Emperor. But now, from the shadows, he has all the time to grow as a fighter and do small things that might not seem important but are (like returning WY's body to the Bureau WITH an "alchemy" book that might just help them piece back his soul and maybe bring him back to life). We'll see.

The mystify spell isn't even perfectly applied - they DID remember XQA's dad, even if they didn't remember him being a Sorcerer and where he went, the Chuzhou mystify spell DID break, Lin'An could remember him enough to almost see his face etc - there's a pretty 100% chance once the spell is broken they'll instantly remember him. And then all hell's going to break loose, LOL.

Just finished episode 2 and I'm loving the storyline so far.
Prepare for a long time jump. They'll be back to the present timeline at ep33 - don't skip the flashback, it's (IMHO) the best.

Title When the Stars Gossip Spoiler
Hey Korean...yes it is indeed bad. They should have just stick on earth by doing all the space stuff.
Even for the shadenfreude it became hard to find the link to this drama in MDL, LOL, it's out of the top10 for SK, it's not trending anymore (guess they ran out of last-ditch-promo-effort budget), nobody's posting any gossips (ha!) about how the drama is doing in SK etc - I guess everybody saw the light finally (except for the diehard fans). Too bad. I seriously think it could've gone as low as The Impossible Heir if people could have stayed connected at least til the halfway point...

It's because they are real couple in the novel , they are married .
This person is a troll, don't feed it, or they'll attack you as they did other commenters. You can't discuss rationally with such persons. Report, block and move on.

Enjoy your danmei journey :) (And tell your brother there are basically only three more intense scenes, and the only one who might make him uncomfortable is right at the end and he can skip it. Just don't let him look at the extras :D)

He has no family in the real world and is a salesman (really explains the cheekiness, right?) There is time to spend more in the modern/real world if/when S2 comes.

I did, but it only strongly hinted at a season 2, but as far as I i know it hasn't been confirmed yet. :(
They're doing some promo for the spinoff, but then... depending on numbers, this might very well get a S2 soonish, LOL.

They could use it to explain a lot of the Bureau and the Supervisor's backstory so that if/when GotD2 hits, they…
Official VIP relese ended today only. They will probably decide based on its general numbers.

But from the very beginning, GOTD was S1 (it's in the title on every episode OP, in the poster, in the title of the book, LOL - it's everywhere). So they at least must have a high hope for it. On the drama topic, someone posted some big numbers and some messages from Tencent that sure looked like they were courting Wang HeDi to do another season. We'll see.

So, is it any good? I don't care for the current rating, I've been burned before.

bad rumors about s3... Tencent has taken the rights for s3 and already started to replace actors if believed in…
What say the rumours? No Peng YuChang, Wang YingLu or Hou Ming Hao... I don't need to watch it.

Question: So why are his grades so low? - . -' 😥
He's taking notes verbatim and learning by rote, and not really processing. Maybe nobody could reach his level of understanding (he's not really stupid, given how easily and detailed he makes his observations; he's just academically impaired.)

I hope that (in the manhwa at least if not the drama) somebody gets the hang of explaining things to him, because I'd really like to see him a bit higher in the ranking, just because he makes that huge of an effort.

Recognised her mistake?!? Are you watching the same drama? She was about to board the plane and go on vacation, AFTER she just unloaded on her own son about selling his friend for the money to get him the factory he actually likes working in. How do you think he'll like it now, if he's not a sociopath like her and her ilk? And it took her husband making her IMAGINE how her life would be if she wasn't such a misshaped person, in order to make her realise what she was doing until now.

I mean, JinWoo was basically scream-crying-begging her not to leave him there and she went, oops, tough love (on the guy with cutting issues and suicide ideations) and... went away.

It IS a freaking pity party - they take this (talented) individual, give him the family from hell, make him get past, present and future trauma in different forms, have him cutting, have him overeating due to stress, have him have to give up on his dream because of fear - for HER, out of all people!! - have him being passed around like a lottery ticket from one to the other, first his agency, then her, then his second agency, now probably his initial agency again (where the CEO has the lovely plan of making him monkey-dance to his tune in order to sweat out money from people who LIKE this stuff...

Is this normal to you?! And don't give me the "that's the industry" - you're no industry insider and let's leave off what you've read in a gossip rag or watched in yet another drama. And if it's not that, what's the actual point of the drama if not simple misery porn for misery porn lovers? Do you even imagine a last-second redemption turn will save this mess?

I try really hard to have patience with people who fail to see the problems with this type of "story", so I'm just going to end it here before going into things like empathy and whatever - it's too hard to socially-mold Annie Wilkes-es and I am really not in the mood right now.

I understood before, one doesn't need to experience it directly to understand it. The only reason I'm not blocking this person's two accounts is to be able to report each and every insulting comment they're writing.

There was always a pervasive stench of not-really hidden homophobia in MDL, but it seems that once a certain nation lost its mind and sense of right and wrong and re-elected a certain buffoon to office, all the scum of the Earth people felt empowered to just let go and be themselves behind a screen. And now here we are.

For everyone who cares to and can see their comments, please report each one of them. Eventually someone in MDL volunteer team will take note and maybe do something about it. (I'm not going to speculate who's alt account(s) these are.)

Also, please DO NOT engage with them. There was another instance, a few years back, when this comment section was half-deleted and blocked for weeks because fans tried to get rid of homophobes through debate, and some mods decided everybody was to blame. So just report, block and move on.
