There ain't a script writer as bold in the whole South Korea, don't worry, they're not.

He was the bad guy in Study Group LOL. (The manhua has a redemption arc for that character, but SG didn't get as far).

Even the reprise got 4.5 in ratings and ranked in Top20 (8th place, compared to 2nd for the day's ep), wow. I didn't even know they did reprises on TV these days hahaha~

The thing is, it's been established that if he gets too shocked he gets amnesia LOL. Here's hoping he doesn't forget anything this time :D

1. Because she's stupid (she seriously is).

2. YHC is letting her go because he loves her. I hope she gets confused by it and when SDJ inevitably rejects her (at least in the beginning) next ep, she'll go back. (I hope they put a revolving door in place for her, at the Yeom place, 'cause she's worse than the Terminator with her "I'll be back"'s LOL).

3. Men with earrings are hot. It depends on the age, type of earring and their confidence wearing them... but they're hot. (Not me imagining to the yey days of SRK playing Asoka, with those silver hoops in his ears. Man was he so hot...)

He sure was - that torture scene was from when he was a student, that has to be some 30 years back at least, and Yeom wouldn't have let him go without being sure of him.

Maybe Yeom fixed the initial removal of Mme Chu and SeongHyeon in order to plant HID in the Cha conglomerate through his marriage with DeokHui. And that would also explain why the second accident had to happen - when the Ko parents died, since SeongHyeon wasn't gone (maybe someone recognised him or something, or maybe they drew attention while trying to find his parents. I mean, it's only human to try and locate a lost child's parents, isn't it? So Yeom could have caught wind of it and learn the kid had survived.)

Oh well, I bet the writer's going to send us for another loop next week :D

Sec. Gong was in it with DeokHui in planning the accident where they thought the child died. I wonder if there were not TWO accidents, actually. One that Sec. Gong and CDH put together (and maybe got the mother), then SeongHyeon wandered away and entered a random house - the Ko family's - and they eventually took him in and raised him with their daughter YeonJoo and THEN they too got into an accident not long after and were killed.

I've been thinking, though - what if SDJ is really HID's son with Mme Chu, Yeo SunHo is really YEN's father (so they're still not related by blood in any way), and CDH wasn't jealous at Mme Chu for YSH, but for HID? :D

(That allows him to be half-brothers with TaeYun and I'm all for it, because TaeYun really loves him like a brother and I think the feeling is kind of mutual. Free ready-made half-brothers for all orphans in the world!)

Nah, I've changed my mind. It's twistier to have them both cross-fathering kids all over, LOL, but maybe HID actually had an affair with Mrs. Chu and had SeongHyeon, and Yeo SunHo is actually YEN's dad as she always thought.

It would explain why DeokHui was so set on getting rid of them - since she loves or loved HID enough to kill her husband in order to be free to marry him, and why Madam Yeom recognises SDJ. Probably HID kept taking him around.

And as to why YSH is holding SeongHyeon in that picture - kids at times are kind of strange. Maybe he just took a liking to him and wanted to be held by him. Or maybe they were already friendly (since HID was best friends with YSH), so the kid knew him... So maybe in that picture HID is looking at SDJ and not YSH.

That brings the question of his lack of reaction when SDJ told his childhood name, and his lack of trying to make it clear why he thought he was called SeongHyeon... Or maybe they'll ret-con that scene too in the future.

Yeah, I think he's fluffing a bit to scare HID even more than he's already scared, LOL. But on the boat he did tell the island guy this was the man who shot him, so he had that part remembered anyway...

What if SDJ is indeed HID's son from Mme Chu, whom he knew since they were students, BUT DeokHui was already ennamoured with him and wanted her - and her son - out of the way? It would explain away how come Mme Yeom knew the kid - maybe HID brought him around when Yeom was busy turning him into a minion. And even so, he and YEN would not turn out to be siblings of any kind.

On the plus side, that would make SDJ TaeYun's older half-brother.

That would also explain how and why would DeokHui want to get rid of the kid - since he would also be HID's son and a competitor for his attention to TaeYun. And his mother would be HER competitor. (Maybe she had the mother killed and assumed the kid had died too, and the accident where YeonJoo's parents died is just an accident and NOT of her doing...)

Okay, I'm totally fine with this hypothesis. Make me right, drama writers!!

ETA OMG WAIT!!!! We don't know if SeongHyeon's bio mom is actually alive or dead - what if she's Secretary Gong?! That would make her a very cold b!tch, since she plotted with DeokHui to get rid of SeongHyeon - but what if...? This is makjang, everything's allowed!

ETA2 *sigh* DeokHui would know it's her though, so that falls apart. Unless she changed her face or something. Dammit.

There's a simple way to untangle the strands though, isn't it?

He's not stupid, I think he'll do a quick DNA test and find out if there's any blood shared.

... Come to think of it, if I were him, I'd collect samples from EVERYBODY, LOL, and test them all. Let's see who else wants a piece of this man's DNA :D

ETA What if he's brothers with Yeom Huicheol though? :D That would totally be such a tropey twist :D

He didn't seem to fake everything. He did show - from time to time - that HID's face was familiar, but this last ep showed he always recognised him. The other stuff though... why would he go try to trace back the suit if he didn't have any kind of memory loss?! He didn't know his own name, he had no need to tell the island guy his childhood name - that is now revealed he wasn't actually all that aware of, or of the past story behind that child.

Maybe he remembered HID because it was the last face before he went under... but then why did he rescue him?! Maybe he told a lie to HID to make him even more afraid of an almost-crazy SDJ... Gah! It's frustrating :D

This one is so very kinky, unexpectedly so. Enough to make me want to see the end, after it finishes airing.

You know who's giving 10s to all of a certain drama's eps and 1s to the other's, LOL. MDL ratings don't really matter, anyway, SK is where they make their money or go bust. But it's hillarious to watch in real-time in here :D

I want to see his mother being married to the chairman, LOL, can you imagine DeokHui's FACE? And the other, useless daughter's? And the older son's (the doctor)?

That will be epic :D

did they just ret-con the whole HID-being-saved from drowning by SDJ so that SDJ was ALWAYS aware that HID was the one who shot him??

He did seem to recognise his face, but he was also actually amnesiac for a bit, so how did he actually completely lose his memory or at least part of it was an act?!

True, but consider this: SeongHyeon is a bit older than EunNam. He wasn't all that old when he was "lost" and wandered in the Ko family's house.

EunNam could have been born after, and her being Yeo SunHo's daughter - if she is - doesn't really register with Kang as a problem, since they all probably knew Mme Chu and SeongHyeon were missing/dead at the time so he never connected it with SDJ.

I think if EunNam was born when SeongHyeon wasn't already missing, we wouldn't have been spared the childhood connection, LOL.
