I really liked the first episode. Strangely, the OST (particularly the OP) reminds me VERY much of TTEOTM (the OP felt like it was the same song, LOL, with some little differences).

But I'm all ready to watch Liu XueYi own this, he's got the acting skills and the screen presence to make this one of the best cdramas of the year :D

Well, by ep 6 it's getting a bit better. At least that idiot has stopped screaming all the time.

Edit: In the middle of ep11 they drop whatever they were doing to film a Subway commercial. LOL.

They're on the news article about a possible second season writing things like "It physically hurts me that a company that supports a genocide is doing well like no"

So don't feed the troll, they're working on their own agenda and pretending to discuss the drama.

Suddenly I find myself missing these guys a lot. Might as well re-watch eps 30-31 and listen to the LaoLan River song again...

They're scared of him. As long as he's around, Bale won't come after him because Babylon's boss was threatened with losing his own family and didn't like it, but he didn't want to risk JinMan coming after them anyway.

So as soon as they really believed he's gone, they left Bale off the hook, and Bale decided to fulfill his promise of killing off everyone left in JinMan's family.

Therefore, JinMan prepared and made a feint, got them to believe he really is dead, and so they came out of the shadows where he could get at them and be justified in doing so, LOL.

LOL. This drama finally got my closest friends addicted to kdramas (and I HAVE been trying for years), if there's more of it, let it come! I mean, there sure were some threads left tangled. And, hey, LISTEN UP, DISNEY+! Make this happen :D

ETA MDL, please do something about the script that decides what comes up in the first three most visible articles, we all like some dramas but it's been freaking DAYS since the most visible news is about ratings on a certain drama and newer news don't even come up unless you happen to notice they've been added. That's really annoying TBH.

Don't let the number of eps trick you, in terms of watching time is about as long as AoS - both seasons.

There is basically no politics, this is xianxia (wuxia+fantasy), much like LBFAD, BUT it's not a love story (well, it is, secretly, but we're pretending we're not noticing anything because Chinese censorship wanted us to think there isn't any, LOL). It's an epic story about making your own way no matter how society judges you, and there are multiple underplots about other characters (who you'll very probably grow to love) but the focus is always on WWX, the main character, and we're watching most of the story over his shoulder.

Don't watch it as a classic love story (it's definitely not, anyway), nor as a classic wuxia/xianxia. This is danmei, and that's a whole world of a difference. I see you haven't watched anything danmei yet, if you're into BL, this will be a great introduction (though censored). PS Don't mind the opening scene of the first ep - it's a good ending.

The spiciest moments are in the extras; most of the novel is NSFW-free. Except for the confession and the very last scene of the final chapter, LOL.

That being said, WWX is the definition of SHAMELESS and his mind works in mysterious ways, so he'll be teasing LWJ throughout the story mercilessly. It's hilarious AF, but not really explicit. Therefore, once you get to the extras... you DO need to read them. Because frustrated LWJ is a fearful sight, LOL.

The book/volumes are worth the price. Depending of where you're buying them from, there are pricier and cheaper options, though... as long as you're somewhere you can get them at all. And for a first danmei novel, MDZS is one of the best openers, LOL. You're going to be reading/maybe buying a lot more of them in the future, if this one is to your liking :D

Wow but this is so badly written and acted (but TBH, it WAS 2017, it's like another world already in terms of drama stories and execution)... Only Yang SeJong remembered to bring his acting skills into it, everybody else so far (up to ep3) is over-acting, being crazy (and not in a good way), obnoxious, loud, straight-damn stupid and annoying. And now they're even going to throw in another badly written journalist (obviously a woman) who might even end up as someone's love interest.

I have no idea why I'm still watching it - unless it's for YSJ playing a double role, that he's doing amazingly well with. But I will stay with it in hope it improves.

But at the same time, OMG... how is HyunWoo not suicidal at this point?! They're basically making him slave away in self-inflicted prison, unloved and feeling unwanted, while they're all threatening not just him, but his family and friends if he even tries to escape...

I know HaeIn is shielding him for a bit, but not when he's around to notice, and everyone else is bullying him into submission. I'd have found a bridge and jumped off it already, not-so-secret surveillance team or not.

I guess we just might see a suicide attempt in the future anyway, from either side...

Well, I like it. I hope it stays along the same lines til the end (seriously don't want another chaebol extra-over-the-top thing). The family is deeply dysfunctional, LOL, but that is hilarious in the end. I think I love the crazy aunt already.

Oh, and the OJS cameo... LOL! He really felt the love that moment hahaha~

PS And the MOST HILARIOUS thing ever is that this drama's title page root (or whatever it's called) STILL shows "untitled Park Ji Eun project" instead of its actual title (in a web browser, anyway), hahahahaha

It's a happy ending. But there will be a lot of tragedy before it ends, so be prepared for that.

I guess we'll find out. But he definitely wouldn't find the orphanage in one day - I mean, does he even know the NAME of the kid?! Unless he started digging as soon as he found out who the FL is. But he also could have noticed the crash orphan from before, given that guy was always close to SuHo's house (how else did he get those photos?)

I hope the writer isn't just throwing red herrings all over and there'll be some actually logical explanation for everything, LOL.

Kwon MAYBE left in a hurry because SOMEONE told him the kid was out and wandering the streets? Maybe the nosey neighbour called the politician (she's in his campaign now, isn't she? And she WAS out with her own kid, on the street - she either opened the door herself, if that was what they were planning to have her do, OR the affair partner had to flee when the FL returned and SHE left the door open.) And also, SOMEONE learned about SuHo's affairs before they could plot scaring him off...

So, anyway, the kid was out and an open target, etc. Kwon left ASAP to find him before the parents did. Maybe they didn't even intended to kill him, maybe they only wanted to try and scare SuHo and it got out of their control.

Just for a hint, this drama also has the best and on-point recs :D

He didn't look guilty to me, he looked like he was uncomfortable talking to them... I mean, he hadn't seen her in 7 years, and she kept looking at him funny. I would be shy too. If he's a kid with issues (mom says he has seizures) maybe he isn't overfriendly with new / unrecognized faces. And her reputation IS that she's a killer and went to prison for it.

I don't know if there SHOULD be any money left (they all look like they're loaded, still), I thought the big thing in SK was to pay reparations for anything you've ever done, even if punished by law. The family of the deceased should have taken them to the cleaners... and since they maybe did not, I guess the orphan Kwon left isn't legitimate so couldn't ask for anything and ended up in an orphanage.
