how does seonyul know Kwon's son?? in the preview he seems to be saving him somehow. Why was he searching for him…
He's working for a political campaign - maybe even for Kim Joon? And so he maybe noticed someone ELSE is tracking SuHo? (And if KJ's campaign is blackmailing SuHo to keep him in check, they'd definitely track him.)
I'm still on ep 1 but I saw a few twitters about the 4 episodes.I just had a theory in my head ( I don't know…
No, the dude did hit the kid (the politician remained in the restaurant when Kwon left to drive while inebriated in the neighbourhood... And also all DNA results were from Kwon's car.)
He was a tool and he did it because they made sure he would get the easiest punishment available (which he did).
HIS kid, though, got thrown into an orphanage, too, and grew up resenting the FL for what she put him through. And TBH... while I totally get why she did what she did, and would do it myself if I was in her shoes... she never even asked about the family of the man who hit her kid. I guess she never wanted to really know anything more (kind of like SeonYul's reaction too, about the arsonist) but she still hurt the killer's kid, and the kid was innocent in all of this. Particularly IF he was an outside-the-marriage kid and when his father died, all income to raise him dried up and destroyed his whole life, basically. I don't know if they ever said the kid was a bastard or not.
The writer is really playing with us and wants us to keep guessing ð¥ the neighbor and her whole story was a…
It most definitely wasn't a ONS. I mean, when FL got back being worried for the kid in the first ep, husband's meds were under the kitchen table because things probably got heated and he was - maybe - busy putting on clothes because his affair partner had to sneak out and maybe leave the door open so that the kid got out and got hit by the car.
So now the shock of the initial setting of the drama kind of wore off, and the latest pair of eps are also setting…
SeonYul is the kid who escaped the fire, and the other one is the guy taking photos. Okay.
But then we have a nice-girl-girlFRIEND?-hacker helping him with codes and investigating and whatnot, and also he's part of a political campaign (they called him their maknae in the first eps, so he's definitely someone they actually like having around), and ALSO he knows his ways around photography. I guess - going by the promo for next week - he comes across the other guy (did they give him a name yet?) and helps him. Maybe that other guy gives up his photo revenge of the FL and joins them into discovering whatever.
Also, the husband sold out? Since the blackmail material the politician used on him is definitely proof of cheating, then the FL will turn out to have also definitely closed that door... And if the kid got out then 1. the friendly neighbour let him out or worse, 2. the friendly neighbour's kid let him out to go and get hit and killed by the politician's stooge. And maybe even 3. the AP woman was in the house when the FL got back, sneaked out and left the door open.
I am awful with faces I've seen for only a few seconds - the affair partner seems to be YooRi (going by her over-reaction and relief when FL didn't know who AP woman was), but is it that woman SuHo is meeting actually the neighbour?! She might be the politician's aide (the one giving SeonYul tasks) but maybe they're the same woman too (told you I'm really bad with new faces). Anyway, my impression is he's totally not there at that hotel to meet AP, but to meet someone he KNOWS has blackmail material on him. And she's the neighbour, if anyone could learn he's conducting affairs in his own home when the wife is out, it's going to be the nosey neighbour.
Anyway - tearful mom gets to dig into a political scandal, treacherous dad gets to play for the politician who made it all happen, fire orphan gets to be the action hero (with the hacker girl sidekick) and crash orphan maybe gets to blackmail SuHo some more... and maybe eventually get on FL's good side?
I don't know what the main genre of this drama is, any more. It seemed to be a healing drama, now it's a political action thriller, by next week it might turn into a scifi LOL.
PS Wait I forgot the newly gotten doctor BIL (I don't know what's his niche, LOL) and the waspish MIL - TBH... the MIL and the actual mother of FL are the only two charas I quite like already. The MIL is a snake and won't even pretend she's not, while the mother is the typical protect-my-baby type of mom. At least they're definitely what they're showing to be.
So now the shock of the initial setting of the drama kind of wore off, and the latest pair of eps are also setting back into the usual groove of political-action-thriller...
This must be the best I've seen from SSR so far (admittedly haven't seen a lot of his dramas.) The first ep rocks,…
Weeell, the first part was definitely more engaging. The second half got way overcomplicated with the back and forth exchanges and the story about the building collapse that felt a bit too cold, not as emotional and close as the kidnapping part. And the ending episode also felt a bit stretched, even if they tried to tie off all loose threads.
But at least someone thought about giving them in the past the winning lottery numbers, LOL, it would've been so lame not to use that advantage to get them out of poverty LOL.
TBH, I am not sure about the wife, but ABH really impressed me with his acting - I could FEEL DoKyun being in love with her and all his moments made sense, from a plot POV and also from an actual person's POV. I've seen him in See You in My 19th Life too, but I felt the FL carried that drama instead. Here he's showing his acting chops and I really liked that.
Oh well, now let's go look for another time travel thriller LOL.
It's an international release. Just fking do it??? Like who tf cares if he did drugs, not like he r*ped someone…
I guess they're trying to keep open and unambiguous relationships with SK production companies and actors - even if NF and international audiences don't care, Koreans wouldn't just not take notice of it... (Not saying I agree, just that I could see their point.)
1. Lots of romance. The romance is kind of the point for quite a lot of the plot - at least it's kind of subtle…
Watch the first half, at least :), until XPZ exits, if for nothing else, for the battle scenes. And because Huang Xiao Ming is so damn fine, and the characters are precious. It won't even matter all that much what happens after, LOL.
... The music totally sucks, LOL, in contrast to NiF...
Hint of romance is putting me off from watching it. but why's there no romance tag? Not even the slight romance…
1. Lots of romance. The romance is kind of the point for quite a lot of the plot - at least it's kind of subtle in the beginning (and definitely does not get to the level of obnoxious lovey dovey scenes). But there will be kids, lots of little kids - worth the romance. Also, LOTS of more fighting scenes - the very best fighting scenes in any historical cdramas I've ever watched. Movie-level fighting scenes.
2. Yes, he dies (not from the opening scene, that is not it, it's going to be much later in the drama). It broke my heart too - but he dies a heroic and memorable death. Still dead, though. It's worth watching it all after all, but it depends on how much you get attached to fictional characters. For me, TingSheng (the father), PingZhang (elder son) and PingJing (younger son) were the perfect unit... and then the writer broke them apart. Then again, she's Hai Yan so we have to forgive her...)
PS You already know TingSheng - he's the unrecognized son of Prince Qi, the kid Mei ChangSu saved in NiF. He's already quite old by now, but he still remembers MCS... and that too breaks my heart from time to time in this drama.
So many stories that don't really need it get multiple seasons, and then there's that one perfect drama that NEVER gets a sequel because iQiYi hates us, that's why.
*iQiYi, if you're reading this, know that I'm saving money to hire a WhiteTruckofDoomTM - or even a plane, who knows - to send your way, better look both ways of the road before crossing. Better contact some Ink Lady just in case*
You're now in a different reality yourself, LOL. Be careful, don't make wishes on falling stars, particularly if they involve deletion of anything in your life :D
The old and new realities weren't in sync yet. There was a 3-day delay while they kept syncing, so YeoWoon was 3 days in the past while MyungHa was in the ~present~.
Or, if you will, while they could communicate instantly, MyungHa came back into the second reality but three days forward and had to wait for YeoWoon's timeline to catch up to him.
Can someone who's watched this tell me how much violence/bloodshed it contains? I'd like to introduce my 7-y.o.…
This is not a drama for a 7yo, IMHO (too much strategy and planning and talking and not enough action for a young kid.) The politics and bromance and the tragedy might also not even register a hit.
For a catchy wuxia without too much gore, maybe introduce him/her to The Blood of Youth (the blood isn't about gore content but about the spirit of youth), and there's a not-too-bad ending (little actual romance, too). And it's about a band of heroes doing heroic stuff, that includes a lot of humor and building up power etc, pretty much like a shounen anime. The fight scenes are amazing, too.
Or for something modern with the hint of wuxia, I Am Nobody will be perfect (minor warning for some childish-level humour, but then again... that might make it the best first contact wuxia, LOL). There will be a little gore, but it's not exactly important for the plot and not over-long. It's basically a drama about superheroes, too :) (with an awesome soundtrack, to boot).
can someone tell me that how many books does it cover since there are 8 of them ??? please
All of them. There's only one novel, but it's been published in its licensed English version in 5 volumes because they included a glossary, inserts of illustrations (and the deluxe versions included mini posters too) and not the smallest possible font either. They all look amazing, TBH (even if I got the normal editions, LOL). And they included the extras in the 5th volume :D
The drama covers all the story, with some changes (made it an extra hot bromance instead of actual danmei, included more storytime for some of the characters, switched up the timelines a bit to make them a bit clearer, etc.) But don't worry, it's all of it been told in the drama. Well... not the spicy moments. But they are all there in the novel *wink*
The one published in 8 volumes is Heaven Official's Blessing (drama is Eternal Faith, but who knows if it'll ever be released, now that China is cracking down on danmei adaptations; there's a donghua that already has released 2 seasons, though), also only one novel but a lot longer than MDZS (on which TU is based). And the other MXTX licensed novel is Scum Villain's Self Saving System (donghua version has one season so far), which ended up in 4 volumes only (extras included, LOL). So, all three of the author's novels are now licensed and already released in an official English TL.
If you mean the MANHUA... yes, that one is a work in progress yet. No idea how many volumes of it are still to be released.
This must be the best I've seen from SSR so far (admittedly haven't seen a lot of his dramas.) The first ep rocks, I hope the rest of it stands to the same standard.
(And because he looks taller than ABH, which isn't an easy feat, LOL, I checked wiki and he is indeed a whole centimeter taller, hahaha~)
Tell you what, I'm going to go read that manga ASAP. Well, this came off pretty well. Two (EXTREMELY) good looking…
I can't get it out of my head - Mashiko Atsuki is SeongHwa's clone or the other way around, the way this played like a dÅjinshi in my head, you won't believe it. I really need that manga to have the characters look a bit different, LOL, so I can get out of the fujoshi fangirl mode hahaha~ *send help*
Tell you what, I'm going to go read that manga ASAP.
Well, this came off pretty well. Two (EXTREMELY) good looking guys with amazing chemistry and no body-shyness (I love that in a BL, it definitely makes it better), the weather vane might point out that Mizuki has some psycho tendencies but it won't matter in the long run, Yoh's curry will eventually kill him LOL. And OMG are they fire together.

At least that's my working theory right now.
But then we have a nice-girl-girlFRIEND?-hacker helping him with codes and investigating and whatnot, and also he's part of a political campaign (they called him their maknae in the first eps, so he's definitely someone they actually like having around), and ALSO he knows his ways around photography. Overall, a nice story, not the geatest but not the blandest either, I liked it and I maybe even would have appreciated more LOL.
