The drama since the first episode has made it clear that Huiju is not a likeable character. Only in some instances like when she is with the baby king, or with her secretary, SML she acts completely sane. Because these are the people she considers dear.
But for others she is a bad person. She is greedy, wants the title for a selfish reason, everything that normally a FL of a drama is not, she is that. She is the one to break rules, do things she likes to. She is an illegitimate daughter, a commoner. From her status to her behaviour nothing is actually appropriate for a royal life. That's the story is about. How such a woman becomes the wife of 21st century prince (literal translation of Korean title).
So you may like her or hate her, but that's what she is, and I would be glad if they show us this personality of her till the last episode.
I like her because finally we have a FL who is a kind of a villain, something different than what we see in other dramas, where FLs are selfless, needy, kind. She is nothing of that. But its her story.
But again, I mean no offence to you, I am just sharing my perspective.

Wasn't the first one cleared, I mean we were shown she stole the key to the archery arena and practiced there before ML found her, then he told the principal to open the archery arena for everyone who wanted to practice. I think that was it, that she practiced a lot.
The second one, I think ML was attracted towards her since in their childhood. The third one for sure they had history, about the day at the arena, and him allowing the the place to be open for all. I felt he just didn't want to tell this to Hyon.

Yeah his part is confusing to me actually, I have to see more episodes, I cannot decipher his character by now. But I do remember him and Queen Mother having a scene where they held hands (in a formal way) for Waltz, and she told him he was her last option to ig stop the wedding if he vetoes, now whom he will choose and why, we have to see. I don't think we before episode 8, we won't know anything much, considering episode 5-6 is entirely about ML and FL and their marriage fixation.

What you are saying seems possible. Though I think he never confessed due to a possible rejection. I mean he could clearly see she had no feelings for him, maybe he feared loosing friendship.
What I really believe is his goal is just not FL, maybe she comes really later, he has separate goals more important than her, now if its on a positive side or negative, we have to see.

I am actually excited about a political intrigue and a plot twist, but again this is a romcom, so lets see.

I blocked so many people during POJ airing. I had no personal beef with them. But their comments upset me because they were full of hate. Ahh blocking them made my comment section clear, and it was fun discussing. I unblocked everybody few days back.

If you read the character gist released by the production house for SML, its written there how he is very difficult to read. No one truly understands what he does and why. That's why though considered desirable in the country, he is also considered controversial because he changes his stance in different situations.
Though we can have theories, I bet we have to wait for 3-4 more episodes to understand what he actually thinks and does.
