Tthat is the problem with the therm "Boys Love" it reduces gay characters to romance storylines. But if there is a dark topic like in this, the therm doesn't fit anymore or misleads audiences to think this is still romance (which it is not with Yongjie nad Xingsi!)... But it doesn't mean that it can't exist as a story, if it's solved propperly in the end. Like other horror, thriller psychological stories.
