My Little Monster - my very first solo anime after my daughter introduced me to them (at the same time she introduced me to BTS and all things Kpop). I got into the manga right after. Although I've watched many adaptations of animes/mangas (and not hated them all like some have - although let us NEVER speak of the American version of Death Note), I really think that Masaki Suda would be so brilliant as Haru (he owned the role of Koibuchi in Princess Jellyfish and basically made it his forever). Sadly there's no sign of it being released subbed yet...... T-T

With this list I loved What's Wrong with Secretary Kim?, Your House Helper and Take My Brother Away (which was really good - I'd recommend it). I'm looking forward to Paul Who Fell From the Sky (fallen angels with kind hearts - what's not to love right there?), Dreamcide (because who ISN'T waiting for this with their breath barely bated?!), Love Alarm (this one because how awkward when crushes get forward notice that you like them, or even that someone likes YOU?) and Seen from a Distance, Green Spring.

Thanks! Is it scary? It's on my to-watch list too.
You picked some really great dramas - a friend says Terius Behind Me is good. I've been wondering about The Beauty Inside - but the movie was SO good I worry the remake won't live up to it. Together With Me is appealing (I've watched both the last series, but it seems angstier than ever this time - I've seen the trailer, so will probably wait until I need a good cry for that. lol!

The Hand is REALLY scary - not in a blood and gore way (I don't know about you but that kind of thing doesn't scare me), but in a much more psychological way that's chilling; there is some comedic relief with a Shaman uncle who's a complete idiot and coward and it's really needed because I think otherwise it would be far too scary for a lot of people.

Kim Jae Wook is especially excellent in this and the two other main leads are good too. I honestly can't fault this so far.....it's definitely worth the watch. Hope that helps....I can't say more because I think it would spoil it. :)

I'd have to disagree with you, my all-time favourite movie is Uncontrolled love and one of my fave shows is addicted.…
I completely agree - I think it's a terrible time for LGBT entertainment AND the LGBT community in China right now.

I have to agree - I watched this and the two 'anti-heroes' were the only reason I stayed to the end. Wu Vanness was the most compelling of the two, but that doesn't detract from Mao Xiaotong's outstanding performance. I have to admit that I do tend to watch anything that Wu Vanness is in (along with the Korean actor, who's as gifted, Kim Jae Wook).

As for Tang Tiffany....I really think she should stick to romcoms and the like; she's good with them and very endearing to watch in them - along with melodramas like My Sunshine. But these types of monumental, historical dramas - especially those based on real life people - are out of her league and it sadly shows (same goes for real life beau, Jin Luo). She's a wonderful person - engaging and sweet in interviews, but when you're good at something I say stick to it. I love to bake - my victoria sponges are great and everyone loves them, but I still wouldn't try to make a croquembouche.

At least Uncontrolled Love did have the happy ending that was filmed released on the DVD. But what was done to Addicted was criminal.

I just find ALWAYS having sad endings utterly pointless because people stop watching - so I can't help but wonder if that's the Chinese censors plan. Sort of "oh we don't make LGBT entertainment any more because no one watches it." Sad really.

I feel like many people are rating this live action very low due to the fact that they haven't either read the…
I liked it - I thought the acting was good and they did well with what was a long manga being crammed into a movie and a fairly long anime (if I recall correctly). A drama series would be better but most live actions are now movies so I can't see it happening.

Title Marmalade Boy Spoiler
It is
I don't think saying it's a happy ending, or a bittersweet ending, or suchlike is a spoiler. It's not giving details of the ending beyond just whether or not it's happy or sad at the close. A spoiler is when final scenes, plot twists and big parts of the movie/drama are given away. I mean I've already watched the film and wouldn't be able to tell the ACTUAL ending from 'it is' in reply to the question 'if the ending is happy?'

I think you need to really read a few spoilers to understand what the term actually means. But I'll click spoiler here because I guess you might be upset if I don't.

Title Go Brother! Spoiler
Correct me if i'm wrong (i'd appreciate if you can leave comments related to the last part because i honestly…
Yeah that final scene left me wondering......I think it was her just wishing her brother wasn't leaving; maybe she genuinely thought she could use the last wish to get him to stay or something. I really hope there's a second movie so we can see what happened after the cliffie....maybe she'd go with him, or persuade him not to leave.

Those last ten minutes or so really made me cry; he was such a good brother. When he was telling his mum and stepdad about how she liked things and then thanked their mum for making him her big brother.....oh my, I really started sobbing then! I started crying when he was doing the room up for his sister and didn't stop until the end when she blew on her phone........

It popped up on kissasian today. No idea what the subs look like
went over and checked - they're pretty good. It was nice to see Iura Arata again since I loved him in Rich Man, Poor Woman (though not his character, although at least he redeemed himself in the end.)

It looks the same like heart to heart... His Previous drama,,, i think he need to step up and choose more heavy…
I think it's really up to him what roles he chooses. If he has a niche that he excels at and enjoys playing, then better that than push himself to do things he's not comfortable with, doesn't enjoy and fails at.

Case in point, Sheng Peter - fine in secondary roles, but he SUCKS as a main male lead. He cannot carry the screen time and he can't cope with the pressure. Hes a lovely guy off screen, but freely admits that he's actually incredibly shy and socially awkward (as someone like that myself I applaud him for even attempting acting because any attention would make me run for the hills). So he's constantly 'rabbit in the headlights' in scenes and his lines are delivered with all the emotion of a detached and toneless robot.

But sadly Sheng's management have clearly pushed him into lead roles and he's tanked faster than a submarine in an emergency dive procedure. So I think perhaps Hans Zhang should be allowed to do the roles he's comfortable with . Just my view though.

I don't usually like Chinese dramas too much as they often end sadly (though Boss and Me was great), but as they get the sad part out of the way early on then I'm guessing that this might actually have a happy ending. So I'll hopefully be able to watch this one. :)
