On To Each His Own Apr 1, 2018
Can someone spoil this for me? (please don't forget the spoiler tick though) - the thing is I've watched this raw and I just didn't get it completely. I guessed it was a happy ending, but not sure why or how..... This is one film that you really need to either have it subbed or be fluent in Japanese to understand it.

reading so many comments saying the second half of this was weak and boring and now i dont know if i should watch…
It wasn't and do. I've watched it more than once it was so good. Everyone has different tastes of course. But if you like slightly odd, but immensely clever, leading men - then you're good on this.

There's some lighthearted moments as it's clear, despite his huge IQ, his EQ is woefully low and almost into single digits. This of course means he can't really empathise with others and his sudden discovery that he can have feelings leave him clueless. Imagine a robot suddenly being given an emotion chip, but with no instructions. ;)

There is a lot of darkness in it; but the lighter moments mean that it doesn't get too heavy. Also, when this first aired, the arguments about the end almost led to wars on various sites as each theory had its supporters. In the end there were actually more theories about the end than there were episodes! lol!

Hope this info helps. I've tried really hard not give spoilers; with luck I haven't and you choose to watch it and enjoy it. :D

Really looking forward for part 3.
There won't be a Part 3 now - ALL LGBT projects have been banned in China now. the only hope they have is to go to Taiwan, Thailand and Japan, in that order.

Worth watching it is a really good film, just a shame it's a short. It does have a happy ending.

kittykat94 -- are you SURE? Because I will be back to hurl broken dreams and shattered cookies at you if you're lying! Because the movie did sort of do that, but it was still open ended compared to the wonderful manga.

Title Feel Good To Say Goodbye Spoiler
I'm British and I HATE sad endings too, especially BL sad endings - I always expect more from Thai BL dramas as,…
Agreed, I prefer the romance as well; but I do like it if they can kiss properly. I remember being driven mad by HIStory 2: Right or Wrong because the younger guy's kissing was TERRIBLE. It was such a little thing and they had such a wonderful romance and little affections and touches that I shouldn't have cared, but it genuinely drove me nuts. lol!

Night Flight was very sad, I cried so much at that as it does seem to sum up the attitude to the LGBT community in South Korea - not as bad as China but definitely not as enlightened as Taiwan or Thailand.

I was watching a Japanese drama that has a tiny side story of a BL couple and it seems that, going by the characters story, they do have civil partnerships allowed for same sex couples there too. So it seems only South Korea and China are now still following the heavily discriminatory line.

I love the romantic ones like the Takumi-kun series or the recent two series of HIStory stories. I do like it when parents and/or extended families are included that accept the relationship - it always makes me happy when that happens because I think it promotes to parents that acceptance is right and the happiness of our kids and extended family members is what is MOST important.

China, Russia, all the rest I guess their lack of tolerance is down to the Marxist regimes - I think being LGBT smacks of non conformity. When I was very small I was left handed - when I started school my teacher didn't like it because me and the only other 'Southpaw' made the class 'look untidy' when we were learning to write. So she tied our left hands to the back of our chairs and made us write with out right ones. When I finally told my mum (she'd kept asking why I was writing with my right hand) she went postal, so did my friend's mum, but by then the damage was done.

I think marxist states are like that teacher anyone not conforming is considered 'rebellious' and they hate that. That's why tattoos, living together, rap and hiphop are also now banned in China. Certain religions do the same thing - hate non conformity.

Like you said, we could go on, but I take your point. Let's hope our great grandkids look back at these messages and merely wonder what we were talking about, rather than understanding - I really hope our worries of today become just another chapter in history tomorrow. Sometimes I think we should just be rubbed out and started again. I said a long time ago that if you put the entirety of mankind into one giant grave, even with the greats like Hawking, Curie, Debussey and Monet, the headstone would still read "Here likes mankind - seemed like a good idea at the time." ;)

You don't have to thank me; you're English is very good. But for me I would like to be kept in the loop so if you ever need crowdfunding or social media support I will help if I can. You have a solid fan base out here and we all look forward to your new projects. Whatever your investors say, know that your fans are 100% behind you. Good luck! :)

DLKDramaFan -- you're JOKING? fgs! I was really hoping they'd use the end of the manga this time - the drama had enough episodes to show that. Not sure I'll bother watching the rest of it - for me the film version was so much better and if the drama has the same ending, what's the point. ARGH! I'm really hacked off now. Thanks for the heads up though, genuinely appreciated because I will not now be wasting time watching a poor copy on the hopes of seeing the manga ending......

Review Long Time No See Spoiler
We need an honest evaluation for movies as well as for us. In that sense, your assessment is very helpful to us…
Thank you, but I just don't like giving a review that says "loved it, brilliant" because it doesn't really tell people anything. I couldn't say too much about the story as I didn't want to give spoilers which is a shame because the story is beautiful and I was really tearful at the end. But you don't have a spoiler button on the reviews. But I have one here so I can say, I was really rooting for the main couple. I was angry with them, sad with them and laughing with them. Their first attempt at sleeping together was hilarious and reminded me of when I first dated my husband....I shook his hand for the first THREE dates, I only kissed him on the fourth because he took my hand and pulled me towards him to kiss me! (I had a very sheltered life clearly!! XD)

So for me little things like that were great - not only for their humour but also because it could relate to the viewer..I'm straight but, as you can see, it really spoke to me and no doubt others in similarly awkward firsts in their relationships and regardless of our sexuality - for me, I just loved it. The heavier stuff was also sad but well handled. I felt both men showed their feelings more by being able to forgive and move forward, than by a thousand 'I love yous' and that's what appealed to me too. NO schmaltzy udying confessions; just brutal hurt honesty and then a willingness to move on; to even face the end together. The last scene.....oh it made my heart so happy. :)

I gather you made the film? If that's right then you have so much to be proud of, you and your cast and crew. I don't honestly see how you could better this movie - except for the bad guys being a little less OTT and the music being better....but they are really just quibbles more than criticisms. I don't often seen ANY movies this good, let alone a BL. So thank YOU - it was a pleasure to watch your movie and I wish you nothing but success in the future. I can say I chatted to you before you were famous. and I will certainly never miss your movies. You tell those investors you have faithful and solid fan base out here. :)

What? Isn't this what EVERY wife does when her husband comes home?
Janey -- not usually, but I'm willing to give it a try....I've had water fights with my husband and daughter in the past when he's come home from work...loser cooks dinner . My daughter is working now too - so it would be a really good game; the one that screams the loudest loses and has to cook.

I bet the wife pretends to be dead because shes got a terminal illness so shes hoping it wont be such a shock…
A lot of us are thinking this and, knowing how Japanese dramas like to take a comedy and then knife you in the eyeballs with a tragedy when you least expect it, I definitely am on board with this theory. lol!

is it possible the wife has a bad illness and wants the husband to be used to her death? hahaha... it would be…
I had exactly the same thought after watching the trailer - it would make a lot of sense. Turning it into a joke and making light of it to get him used to the possibility that he might come home one day and she's not there any more. But sometimes just telling someone the truth helps them deal with it ------ and also stops them thinking you're just trying to scare them to death for the insurance money! lol!

I'm watching it raw, it's pretty good even though my Japanese is dire. Subs would help I have to admit. I recommend it.

I had to watch the last episode raw, so not much made sense as my Japanese is still very weak. But I took from it that the original high school sweethearts were there for each and still deeply in love by the end credits, though unhappy wife's actions at one point did make me question that. The other woman just seemed to want a man to make her pregnant and then get lost......I found her very unlikeable, but then that could be me guessing. The 'playboy' -, well, I'm still not sure what happened to him. So the only two I was rooting for was the original couple.

I LOVED Iruta Arata, he seemed the most genuine and therefore sympathetic of all of them....including the vain hairdressing husband. But for me Hirugao was the better drama for passion - but then this one felt more likely because you do feel this is how most affairs start- not passion, but just unhappiness with where you are in your life.

I still think this one is worth the watch, but hopefully I will try again when (and if) it's ever subbed.
