I can't really fully blame Manmuk for telling her. The way Chom told her made it seem like it's something everyone knows and even when she asked Maewnam for help, she didn't really say anything about it not being public knowledge. There's 3 possibilities that I can think of off the top of my head

1) She thinks Wan already knows, so it was really just meant to be a diss
2) She thinks Wan doesn't know, but everyone else does, which makes it look like Maewnam is playing her for Mouse Mart
3) She knows the whole story and she's just an evil bitch

That one, at least so far, was the most despicable to me. All the "defect" returns are, but he literally just returned her for no reason other than she aged out of his preference. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy she got away from him, and pedos deserve slow deaths imo, but he adopted her solely for his perversion and was completely fine with killing her since she was no longer young enough for his tastes

I agree to an extent, but he's only 11. That voicemail would be hard to believe, especially at a young age. Even though his mom was cold to him a lot, she wasn't always, and it's not like he's a new adoption. They adopt the kids when they are babies so that is the only mother and "love" type he's ever known. The first thing the guy said to him was a lie too, so that would make it even harder to believe the fantastic story of "You're mom doesn't want you, and I was paid to kidnap and kill you."

I do hope he realizes EVERYTHING that's happening now is his fault though, he still doesn't seem to get that very blatant point.

Chom gets worse in my eyes as time goes on. You already constantly gaslight your gf and refuse to tell ANYONE that you 2 are dating, and now you're cozying up to the new teacher that found out and ignoring your gf on the hopes the new teacher won't tell anyone, even though she bluntly said she wouldn't because she doesn't care enough. Then you think it's okay to tell that teacher your friends secret and try and rope your friend into also helping her, again for no reason since she didn't care about you 2 dating from the start. Like, sure, it's not exactly a secret that Maewnam's family owns Mouse Mart, but she also doesn't go around advertising that fact. You're also Maewnam's friend and know that she has a strained relationship with her family, but you think it's a good idea to have her ask her to ask her family for help, when she doesn't even really know this lady?!?

He pretty much flat out told Misa that he didn't like her, and was playing with her but he can't do it anymore and he's never going to talk to her again. There's obviously a reason, but he was extremely harsh to her at the end of ep 8

I love them both, but give the edge to this one. To me, this one is darker and more revenge focused, while the KDrama wasn't as dark and focused more on the mains romance. Like, they both focus on both, but this one is definitely more Misa's revenge than falling for Suzuki, while the KDrama had a lot more of them falling for each other while doing her revenge

Just finished 7 and I feel no sympathy for Lada's mom. She's sitting there crying, then her entire speech sounded more like she's crying because she lost the heir she groomed more than she lost her daughter.

Honestly, even if Lada and Earn weren't still together, I would have left everything just like Lada did. To learn that your mother quite literally sabotaged the one time you were truly happy in life for her own selfish reasons, then lied and manipulated you to get you back to being the perfect heir for her empire, yeah, that's the last time I would talk to my mother.

I think another reason is they aren't as global, and it seems by choice. A lot of Japanese shows never get a global OTT, and will only release in Japan, or East Asia at the most, so a lot of people that would genuinely like JDramas never give them a chance since they are so few and far between compared to K and C Dramas and Thai Lakorns.

I know I gave up on JDramas for a while because I was getting sick of having to find out which Discord channel, website, reddit thread etc was doing the fan subs and illegal releases of them

At least from this article, the gist I got was "She's barely in it, we didn't cut any scenes since she's barely in it and labelled as a main, and she's only in it because of star power"

That's pretty much what I figured it was. At least in the US, the kinda dated term for it is "Old Wives Tale." Something that pretty much everyone knows isn't true, but is still followed or believed by some due to superstition and tradition.

I get being confused in the moment, but honestly I think if your SO's parent is pulling you aside secretly to tell you your SO is lying to you and offering you a deal like Fahlada's mom did, after a little more thought, and flying overseas to a dominately English country would definitely be enough time, the thought that you 2 were serious enough that the parent disapproved for their own selfish reasons and was lying to you would cross your mind.

I just finished ep 3 and I am really enjoying watching Earn try and win her back, but I seriously was like "Come on, girl" when she was completely shocked hearing the interview where mom's choice was like "Yeah, she doesn't like me at all, I've been trying for years."

The fact that you will be on the verge of tears because of their breakup at the end of episode 1 is a testament to just how much chemistry LingOrm have. Already being completely invested in their relationship after like 30ish minutes shows just how great they are together

I didn't read the novel, but saw that in it she is crushing on Wan, so it made me think that could be the reason she dropped it. But I honestly think in the Lakorn that she's just shocked Wan is finally over her ex enough to be interested in a new girl. I'd say I'm probably 80:20 shocked over jealous on why the coffee spilled

There definitely was some influence on the audience from his Waikiki days, but he honestly did a good job being a villain type character. I'm actually proud of him for doing it, because it showed that he can be a more serious actor and not only be typecasted into the goofy roles
