Have you seen it? I have been interested in chinese history recently and found myself hooked trying find out what happened. Also, I am a big fan of Wallace Chung :)
I am struggling with episode 27. It doesn't make sense why heaven concubine's evil deeds are not called out and she ends up marrying the crown prince. Sucks!
I was fascinated by this drama and was hooked after the first episode. It tells the story of a young Kangxi emperor and his trusted friend and adviser Nalan Xingde. The storyline was captivating and Wallace Chung always delivers. I only wish the editing was better for smoother flow. For a drama from the mid 2000's, I thought it was well made.
This is a heartfelt and sad drama about love. The acting was good but I agree with comment below that it was a bit draggy. Could have condense the story into 2 to 3 episodes.
I really liked this movie. Kinda of like my bestfriend's wedding. Although Wallace Huo is in the movie, I think Kwon Sang Woo and Kitty Zhang stole the show.
Overall I enjoyed this C drama but I thought there were too many flashbacks and re-living the past in present day. The last 4 episodes were a bit strange for me as it doesn't represent reality. It was way too long and too much time was spent on hypothetical scenarios.
I was surprised that I actually liked this drama. The storyline was tight in the beginning and kept on getting interesting. I really liked the chemistry between Huang Xiaoming and Joe Chen. But the ending was really rushed making to hard to understand whether there was a full resolution to major issues.
