So glad to see someone who can recognize that a woman is a woman even if she’s dressed like a man! Thank you, Gongsun, for having a brain and eyes that work properly.

That cutoff was so annoying. 🙄

She actually is rather simple-minded. She’s bright and capable, but there were several instances where her comprehension seemed a bit slow. Yan Zheng noticed it too (ep 1 or 2), I believe. There was a quizzical, stunned look in his face at her lack of understanding, but he was kind enough not to say anything. He let her keep her dignity, and simply explained gently so she could understand. I forgot the exact scene, but I might rewatch to find it.

What’s the name of Wei Yan’s eldest son? Xuan something? I thought he was a Xie too and and not a Wei, which was confusing me.

NO SPOILERS PLEASE, but—Are the Xie family a part of the Wei Faction? Yan Zheng is a Xie, but he’s been ousted and thought to be dead by the Wei faction, right? Just want to be sure that I am understanding the basics correctly.
