I found interesting the stark contrast between the way Ye Ying hires an assassin and the way Ye Li hires one. It was pretty poignant—Ye Ying, bumbling and inept vs Ye Li, sharp, precise, skilled.

I’ve heard bullying over there is very real and that the Kdramas aren’t exaggerating. Real life is worse, I heard. The drama “The Glory” was based on a real-life incident in the news. That’s why so many celebrities get canceled when a bullying scandal gets revealed from their past. Bullying happens in the workplace too apparently. The drama “Misaeng: Incomplete Life” depicts this. It’s a recurrent theme across many Kdramas for years not merely current Netflix Kdramas. That’s my observation as a non-Korean.
Her default response was to believe the ML deliberately tried to hurt her father —no giving him the benefit of the doubt, just assuming the worst of him when he had given her no reason to do so.
Prince Ding is so observant and discerning with Ye Li. I love that. You can see his taking her fears very seriously. She, in turn, is starting to trust him even more thoroughly because she can tell his concern for her is sincere. This is developing so beautifully.
