the story is nothing spectacular or original. however the film does beautifully bring to life sophie's imaginings and is stunning to look at even when it's just the set without all the fantastical CG effects. combine this with great acting and leads that you really connect with and feel for and sophie's revenge turns a stroy you've heard before into something wonderful.
