Three Stars

this episode is building suspense. Though in actually for me it just fails to deliver. The fact that they chose the worst possible way to go out of the two options is the most ridiculous and unbelievable part of this story because they are supposed to be with true seasoned explorers. The friend at this point is just getting on my nerves with every little over reaction. I found myself hoping he would fall into the water and get eaten by the corpse beetles.

This episode for me shows the importance of farcical control. If you let your expressions be too big and to unbelievable they are are just that. Not believable. For me, the biggest mystery I want to solve is who the hell is Shang Qi Lang!

Importance of Music

in this episode we really learn the importance that An-na plays in this drama. Not only for her father but also for Choi yoo jin. The overall cat and mouse games hands are shown in this episode between the senator and his wife. I'm excited for the next episode when An-na is finally back in Korea so her storyline will be able to develop more and how she fits into the scheme of everything.

As for Je ha this episode we see a little bit more into his character background, some of his past that we haven't seen before.

Things that this episode in my opinion did well was so the backstory of Je Ha and give a depiction of PTSD that so far I haven't seen in many shows. Another things that they highlight is stringing the two characters An-na and Je Ha together with both when dreaming have nightmares. Compassion for each.

This episode for me also highlighted the background music and how important it is in series crime mysteries. When something was going to occur that was unexpected to a character it played the same chorus singing in dramatic fashion. With complex back stories and interesting drama happening now, it's a good way, in my opinion to keep the viewer interested and focused.

Background

Dick move, but I loved it. It made me laugh.

I think this moment shows better the complexity between Kang Mo Yeon’s character. She plays a tough doctor, but on the inside she is also really scared of things outside of her field. The complexity of the female lead is something that I like about this character as to oppose to other female leads, so she not as two dimensional as most people think.

I’m sorry, I have to say it, but can they try and find better non-korean actors. It honestly sometimes just make me think they took the first person who signed up for the job. It takes me out of the show.

The complexity of the before story is what kind of makes this now plot more interesting. We are just catching a moment in the lives of the characters before they go on, but the detail of the before, is quite curious as well, and makes me want to watch an entire drama based on who each character got to the point where they are currently. This episode highlights this with the relationship between Dae Yeong and Yoon Myung Ju.

Overall it wasn’t a bad episode but the plot feels kind of slow until the end. Maybe because the first two episodes their relationship progressed so quickly. This episode feels important to set up the next part of the story as well as reveal needed background information.

Perfect

I’m sorry, I laughed so much during this episode. It was just funny to me, how she wasn’t getting anything she was actually asking of him until told otherwise. Her naiveness was actually cute and endearing in this episode for me. I found myself speaking to my laptop watching this over and over to both of them. Like read the mood, Uehara. She doesn’t get it...she thinks about food. They way this episode plays with comedy and drama is something that I’ve liked throughout this series, it's a good balance that keeps you entertained while simultaneously breaking your heart.

Upclose and Personal

Okay, could the give her a sadder story line? I mean, the positivity of the actress mixed with the emotional outbursts are very well done. But one thing I noticed throughout this episode that bothered me that wasn’t about the plot so much, it was more about the way the director framed things. The close ups, where slightly unnecessary, and actually made it slightly creepy. But of course, you might have a different view point because that's the magic of film. I just wished they panned away just a bit more.
Overall not a bad episode, mostly just back story to understand her heartache of her current situation.

Pretty Smile

I like her honest quality that she has, and her great wanting to work personality, because that is something I have in common with her, the wanting to work constantly until my nose bleeds. Dedication is hard to come by and I hope that is a quality she doesn’t loose through these 40 episodes.

Also I think her friend doesn’t give a lot in the relationship they have, but it's also been one episode so she could show more ways in the future. From what I have seen, Li Huizhen gives more to the relationship than Xia Qiao.

Also the meet up, I knew it was coming, yet it still hurt. Predictable but I was all excited and then my heart broke.

I hope that this drama can keep up with its first episode because that was well done.

Something Fishy comes.

I just have to say, the beginning animated part was absolutely one of my favorite opens every. It brought back my Harry Potter feels, and it was just short, but It kind of made me want to watch the entire episode like that. Anyways…

I like the comparison of her strong character, yet her ability to let her emotions show, is very different from some of the Chinese characters I’ve experienced in my viewing. Most strong willed characters wouldn’t even let you see that they were struggling to cry, so I’m excited how that is going to play out. The premise of the story seems interesting, and wondering how the first animated story is going to tie in, to the overall theme of the plot.

Overall this was a really good start in my eyes to the beginning of the drama.

Family Drama

Okay. I love family Melodramas. They are my guilty pleasure. This one seems to be one of the good ones with a strong introduction to all the families and most of the love lines to come with the preview giving you a glimpse into the next ones. I think it's quite interesting the family dynamic and each character interaction seems to have good chemistry whether it be hate, love, or platonic. It's very well casted as of right now. The only storyline that bothers me is the Second Brother but hopefully it gets better.

Amazing...

Could they give her worse bad luck? The girl can’t seem to catch a break, but its adds the mystery and drama. This first episode really just drives you right into the problem giving you a lot of information, but not much in character development. Character background though is really important in this episode, also her sad scene was perfect for me. She's very physical, and with a drama that is dubbed over, I think thats whats a good quality to have.

interesting Beginnings

So far, the start is interesting. The way it's set up we see his perspective more than the female leads, which is different, where you normally see hers first. It kind of makes her side of the story more interesting to find out.

One thing that I am liking about this overall, is the background music and the OST for it. Its very well suited for this type of Drama. But I am dying to know what actually went down between them...anyone else?

They finally got together! Yeah! Okay I love…

They finally got together! Yeah! Okay I love how sweet that exchange was, but I also love Zi Yu hammering him the next day, ah friendship. The build to the big villain is getting slightly slow for me, but the ride is fun on the way. The arsonists case takes centerfold as we try to figure out the mastermind is. Also, don’t lie to someone you know is going to figure out the truth, it only hurts them in the end. Especially when you believe a psychopath killer is dead and he isn’t.

Okay Start

Okay, I have to admit. I find the scene where she gives her letter extremely awkward. Its comical, but awkward. This episode for me, makes me think that's there not much to this character other than impulse, and doesn’t make me feel bad for her idiocy, instead makes me feel sorry that the actress was given. But I keep thinking of when this was made, and the dumb girl with a good heart was more the norm back then (At least in my viewer experience). I’ve seen better first episodes, but since I’ve seen this show twice already, I know the character development gets better as time goes on. So I’m excited for the next episode with more main character interaction. I do like how they destroyed the house in this one, it's more plausible than other adaptations I’ve seen.

Science!

So, vampires. Let’s go. I like how they took a science approach to vampirism, and its unique as in, I never really seen it explained this way, as being a type of virus. That idea is very intriguing. Another thing I like is, the actual transformation of it, he physically changes in the nails, skin, and eyes. Also some superman see through vision going on there.

The actual visual aspect of the drama is weird. The repeat slow motion reminds me of daily soap operas mixed with the dramatic music make it somewhat laughable instead of dramatic.

The overall quality of this episode was mainly just to set up the background information for future episodes.

Adventure

Start off strong with a chase scene and mystery abounds. Treasure map, mysterious man, and a girl who could eat you out of house and home and yet no gain a pound.

A very fast past that moves the story along. It makes sense with only 10 episodes.

I really want to know the story behind Yang Yang’s character. He seems supernatural like. Its interesting.

Shoes, Shoes would be nice.

I like the camera angles and the way it’s showing us in glimpses the actual storyline without giving us a plot at all. Its interesting view of shooting it and I'm dying to know what the plot is, which I believe is the point.

I like the dramatic music, it's unique for fight scenes, though I can see why some people might not like it. These are really well choreographed fight scenes.

The overall feel of the drama is great, a suspense that I’m wondering what is going to be next.

I no nothing, and yet I want to know everything. How is he good at fighting? What happened to An na? I knew about corrupt politicians, so I’m good at that part. But I just want to know more. Strong Women are amazing. I’m so excited to watch this.
