Fan's Dream

First thought is that they kind of stole the power thing from EXO but instead of using it as a concept for music video and promotion, they are using it in a Drama. If the show had come out before EXO’s debut I wouldn’t think this, but it still is a neat idea for show concept. The overall positive main lead is slightly laughable in this episode in her portrayal in a way that I feel as if the actress isn’t quite sure of the character she is portraying. She kind of reminds me of Ku Hye-sun in the beginning of Boys Over Flowers, good yet not quite there. This episodes is basically shows that it's a comedy to showcase the (at the time) new group GOT7. Its clearly not meant to be a serious drama but one that is entering to their fans.

As far as the acting is proceed, no one should be winning any awards, but it's a good start to a like hearted comedy that is meant to please fans, which I think hits it goal.

Play

I liked this episode. Yes the two leads don't interact, at least not in person. But for someone or anyone who reads the book it's quite easy to fall in love with both leads being able to embody the characters. The only thing that is slightly off is the casting of the best friend. Her actions and vocalization remind me of a child and she's supposed to be a sophomore in college. I hope it gets better with her in the plot line. I also love how it's leading up to him being the one pursuing and not the other way around. It reminds me of Kimi Ni Todoke. I'm a sucker for that kind of romance.

Musical Change

Even though this episodes is slow paced, I enjoyed the laugh I got from Yao Yao’s glares. The music in this episodes is misplaced, or is trying to make emotional scenes done by the actress seem less emotional. It was slightly irritating when I was watching and trying to get a feel of the actresses abilities, but I think the fault really lies with who was in charge of music. Have a comic overtone to a emotional part is necessary a good thing in a drama like this.

I do like how he is trying in this episode in his own way to get the girl, even though it's blatant honesty, his denying its not for work.

Dropped

It's not getting any better. I had hoped it would, but in my opinion the acting in this is just terrible. Nothing is really believable and instead of it being cute or romantic, it's just awkward. Things that are supposed to be scary, isn’t. I can understand they struggled to find the budget to get actual wolf like dogs, and used huskies, but the huskies that they used were fluffy and cute, and short.

Obviously this is just my opinion, but you are enjoying feel free to ignore me. That is your own opinion as well.

Taeyeon MVP

Whoever gave that mission to Taeyeon, chose wisely! This episode was both equally funny and heartfelt. The reflection moments were nice and you could tell how serious they get when they set their minds to something. I fully enjoyed this episode and looking forward to the full 8 members in the next one. Also, there's nothing better than Girls' Generation competition, it gets funny real quick. (Like the running man episodes.)

I missed them T_T

I enjoyed this episode, it's fun and relaxing. Not much happens in terms of variety but it's nice to see the 7 of them playing small games and talking as a group again. They always have had this ability to make it feel like all the members are included even the absent ones, or the quiet ones, which just is refreshing to see again.

Feels kind of like the Great British Bake Off

I know this is a weird comparison, but it feels like the Great British Bake off in terms of competition. That everyone is routing for everyone in some form. It feels very different in some ways from other idol shows. More of a coming together to try and achieve their goal, doing the best that they individually can. From the looks of the next episode that might change, but for this one, it felt like that. This is the first Survival show that I'm watching as it airs, so it's an interesting to me in terms of how they direct it and show off. There didn't feel like any evil editing in terms of showcasing any of the contestants in a bad light. It felt very natural in that aspect. Though I disagree with the judges in terms of whom they thought should be in the top 9 for a few them and those who were considered to be, I thought they were being too generous in terms of "Vocal" ability.

Interesting Concept - Good first start

I was mainly interested watching this show for Tiffany. I ended up actually liking how this survival show is going. It's different, and I liked how all the girls were separated into different groups before hand and didn't come under company names. I love how supportive everyone is of each other and the girls calling out in support is amazing to see. Even when the contestants don't do as well, they still support them whole heartily. I find it also very interesting seeing the different view points from a "JYP" trainee and a "SM" Trainee through Sunmi and Tiffany. They both kind of reflect what the companies stand for in terms of what they look for. Sunmi with her Aura and Tiffany with her technique and vocal ability. (Even though Tiffany is no longer at SM; Still SNSD) I truly do think that teaser was a very misleading into this episode, chalk it up to Mnet editing issues.

For me, I enjoyed watching it a lot more than I thought I would. I am coming into watching this series a little biased because I've watched survival shows before, but I was pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere that this show has. One thing that I noticed as opposed from it's Korean counterparts, is the lack of camera motion, and it brought out a newer kind of show, that felt more authentic instead of staged. Talent wise, it's a different system from South Korea or even China, but it's also different style when you look it. I'm interested to see how they develop in the future.

New Intro & Outro

With new footage not seen before to see whats to come for the next part of the drama. I liked the new music that comes with it. Its very foreshadowing in my opinion.

Zhu Ying is my hero in this episode. She reminds me of a stylish, older Li Hui Zhen, which I think was the point. A guiding character of our protagonist.

This episode you start to see the selfishness of the Xia Qiao, that makes you feel sorry for her in more than mad. I think the fact that she different from the korean version, is that you see a kinder side, more caring side to her than you had in the previous version. I think her pep talks to Hui Zhen are what keep her in the business, proving to her and to everyone that she can do this.

In this episode we see how she has impacted his life and how it’s kept up to this day. I also think he’s being a little too hard for her breaking the rules, simply because it was her first offensive.

You also see in this episode Xia Qiao, start to gravitate towards Hao Yu in order to escape her own issues she dealing with.

Second Lead Syndrome is powerful in this drama.

Four Stars

I think the strengths of the lead actress show in this episode. Particularly when she is on the other end of the phone, how his words hurt her are clear in the way her facial expressions change suddenly. She hangs on every word, and you can see that she has been in love with him this entire time.

The second meeting you can see how Xia Qiao is falling for him already. I don’t think Xia Qiao meant to in the beginning, I truly think she only wanted to help her best friend. I honestly think this mistaken Identity, though the girls played into it, is entirely Bai Hao Yu’s fault. Though they are at fault for also playing into it.

I also think the highlight between the friends is shown in this episode, with how excited Xia Qiao is for Huizhen. Getting the job. Also the scene where she is going to use her heel as a weapon is precious.

And of course he is her new boss, because that is how dramaland works.

Triangle

This was a very good start to the drama and I think showed the actors strengths as a unit. Though I'm not a big fan of love triangles, I do sort of appreciate that they cut right to the chase instead of dragging it out until the 12th episode. I really liked this episode wasn't just about backstory like a lot of historical dramas are. I'm interested to see the dynamic that comes about from these three, they all have good chemistry.

Overall a good start.

I do have to admit. Knowing that they fell…

I do have to admit. Knowing that they fell in love and got married because of this show makes their bickering a little funnier and cute. Almost like silent flirtation. I think the dynamic between the two characters is what this show needs to help it and not be completely serious all the time because I honestly don't think this show is one that can be and still be considered well done. The comic twist that the two bring help the show in my opinion not dismantle it.

I like how different this character is already from gu hye seon’s characters in the past. I have only ever seen her in boys over flowers but the two characters a polar opposites. Watching this a second I can appreciate the work that went into the character and she wasn't off putting this time around as I remember her being the first time.

This episode for me highlighted the main characters ego’s more. Both don't like to lose nor do they want the other to win. If they one up the other they are going to.

I’m interested to see in the next episode if he gets exposed or not. Probably not because it's episode 3 and it's a Kdrama. They don't do anything fast pace.
