Admittedly I would probably watch just about anything that had Green in it, but this isn't tooooooo bad. It's not brilliant, but the episodes seriously feel like about 5 minutes long, so even if it turns out to be dreadful it doesn't feel like a total waste. One of my concerns, going by the number of cast members in the opening titles, is that they'll try and put too much into this and it'll end up being messy. Well, no more messy than an accidental kiss in a bath filled with rose petals. Anyway, it'll be interesting to see how this progresses.
Iâve tried watching this show up until episode 4 and i just canât seem to get in to it Iâm really disappointed…
I'm up to episode 7 and have been disappointed the majority of the time. I should go and rewatch the original preview and see if I still feel the same way about it because I know at the time this series looked like it was going to be amazing. Maybe the actual story wasn't as good or the execution has been lacklustre, but I'm just grateful that it's only 10 episodes.
My viewing of this series has been disjointed and I'm usually bad at recognising people, but is Chain a 'new' character? I mean, was he in any of the earlier episodes? It feels like he's more significant to the story than his appearance now dictates. Unfortunately, the last couple of episodes have been a little messy and added unnecessary complications. It almost feels like I've missed an episode that would have bridged the gap, but sadly there isn't such an episode. It always troubles me when we get episodes like this at the end of a series that will either invite a second season to be resolved in, or sadly will be resolved quickly and unsatisfactorily. Anyway, I still think this is a very good series despite the wobbles we are now experiencing.
This is such a heartbreakingly beautiful series. I like that there is some complexity to the relationships and they don't just overcome obstacles as if it's nothing like you see a lot in other shows. I wouldn't go so far as to call this a masterpiece or faultless, but it has so many elements that come together so well that it definitely stands head and shoulders above a lot of what's out there.
I really enjoyed the first series and the movie, so I wasn't sure what to make of this in the beginning because it ditched everything except Haruta and Kurosawa, and even then they weren't exactly the same. It may not have been as enjoyable as the others, but was decent enough to stand on its own as it wasn't an exact copy and added enough to make the story interesting. My biggest criticism would be what seemed like an unsatisfactory and seemingly rushed ending. It's a reasonable series that's worth watching, but I think it didn't quite have the charm of the others.
I liked this a lot. It was sweet and funny, but had some very sensitive moments too. The humour really appealed to me and although exaggerated it wasn't stupid or annoying. It's nice to see the approach of different countries to the same genre and the way their individual culture and customs are integrated into it.
There's something really nice about this series, if only it wasn't so bloody difficult to find the episodes. đ I can't quite explain it, but I just find this a gentle series and very calming, despite the drama of episode 5, of course.
This is a really great series and has lived up to my expectations set by the preview. I binged all the available episodes today and really enjoyed it. Not really a complaint, but the episodes are so short that they are over before I know it. Still love it though.
I know they must have their reasons for showing the cut episodes on YouTube, where a lot of international viewers like me would watch it, but they've done themselves such a disservice. It would seem rather than cutting out pure nonsense, they've often taken out pivotal moments and scenes that would add nuance to the story. I have enjoyed it so like in my previous comment I may rewatch the full episodes once it has finished, but it is a shame that some viewers may have given up on it or given it a low rating because it sometimes feels disjointed or confusing. Also, not including the kiss was unforgivable. đ
This is such a standout series for me. The characters and the stories have some actual depth and the sporting side (although I'm not a fan of sport) actually contributes rather than just being used as a gimmick to get handsome boys into uniforms. Even though it is likely to follow the same trajectory of other BL, i.e. all the couples will end up happily ever after, at least there feels like there is some tension in the development of their relationships, so when they do end up together it's a moment for the viewer to celebrate.
I havenât enjoyed a thai bl series this much in a long time (maybe since itsay? :o) !! Sure itâs nothing too…
I probably haven't been this emotionally involved in a series since ITSAY. Plenty of others I've enjoyed, but I haven't connected with the couples as much as this one. It is criminally underrated.
Even though I've been enjoying this a lot, I wish I'd been watching the uncut episodes from the beginning. jpny01 has been doing some fantastic summaries of the full episodes, so that's helped a lot. Maybe once this is finished I'll watch it again to get the full story and see more of Green. đđ
This is a series I just struggle to get onboard with. If these two are meant to be together and can't even communicate then they aren't meant to be together. Lian is not only controlling, but playing games, rather than expressing his feelings. Yes, that might be the point, but I fail to see any cuteness in any of this. The whole thing might be Lian getting Kuea to be himself, but if you have to be a total **** to achieve that then this isn't a healthy relationship. Same goes for Yi and Kon Diao. We should abhor this toxicity, not getting all gooey and saying how adorable it is.
I may be especially harsh about this series, but it's usually the ones I've looked forward to the most and that have disappointed me the most that I reserve my greatest criticism for. I could have dropped it like that toxic abomination Cutie Pie, but the only thing keeping me going is finding out who Enchanté actually is without spoilers.
