Wait Fluke? This Fluke??? Woah did not know that they were both queer.
Yes. I saw the name and thought, wait, that's Fluke! I have no idea if it is actually their accounts, but it has them in a partnership since 2019. Would be interested to see if anyone knows for sure.
I don't know if this has been discussed on here before but I stumbled upon Oat's (Mayom/Barista) Facebook profile and it said he was in a domestic partnership with Fluke. Is this right? How unlucky am I that two of my potential future husbands are in a relationship with one another? 😭😭
If this series doesn't bring you joy you have a heart of stone. The story is pretty simple but it was beautifully executed. There was just enough sweetness without being sickly and just enough humour without being silly. I loved both Mork and Tawan, as well as Boss and Toy. I legit think the barista deserves better though. He is seriously hot AF. Oh, and the bickering uncles were perfect.
It's not often I feel a sense of relief when a series ends, but the ending of Enchanté probably spared me an ulcer as well. Never has there been a character less-deserving of positive attention than Theo. I don't know if the character was suckily written or if it was Book's portrayal of him, but Theo genuinely annoyed me. I've been told from the beginning that everyone had their reasons for liking him, but beyond these superficial motivations I see NOTHING that would justify ANY attraction to him whatsoever. Akk is doing his best to act like a doormat for Theo when he should just spare himself the ongoing trauma of sticking with him and find anyone else. Seriously, any rando on the street couldn't be any worse for him than Theo. I couldn't even bring myself to finish watching part 4 of the last episode because again Akk was the one doing all the heavy lifting by going and joining Theo in Paris, when Theo had seemingly been all ZFG about Akk and buggered off.
I think this series generates an excessive amount of bile in me because it was a series I was looking forward to. The preview looked fantastic and I was happy to see it finally airing, but what we got was hugely disappointing.
just want to tell new watchers, don't trust the rating, it isn't the best series ever but it is better than 7.8…
I just can't trust the ratings on here. A lot comes down to personal preference but I've often seen horrendous series getting the same or better ratings than objectively better ones.
There was a lot to like about this series. Generally the performances were very good and it was beautiful visually. The story had some depth and the characters were interesting. I definitely think this was an underrated series, but I have to admit I found the last few episodes a bit of a letdown. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it just feels like we were about to hit a point where everything came together nicely and ended up just missing the target. But having said that, it was miles ahead of a lot of the other rubbish we've seen.
I dropped this after episode 2, but was wondering if there was anyone still watching who was not enjoying this initially, but who changed their mind after sticking with it? Maybe I'll wait until it has finished and see how it turns out before considering picking it up again.
What bs did they try to pull with Sun and why do we care about Phupha’s financial/mother problem? That was so…
His mother is horrible and yet he thinks he needs to stay and look after her. I would be out of that house the first chance I got and let the debt collectors go after her.
What a completely unnecessary episode that was. If you want to go all gooey over watching a couple with zero chemistry try and act all lovey-dovey, then this might be for you, but virtually none of it contributed to anything in any meaningful way. Okay, Akk is suddenly a bit self-conscious because a bunch of f***wits in some cute boy group are being all toxic like those cute boy groups always seem to be, when he should just ignore it because he's with the love of his life and we've had to endure a whole series waiting for the inevitable to happen. And the biggest ZFG of all time, Theo's parents are breaking up and the most unappealing character EVER decides to crack the sads with the one person who unbelievably and inconceivably loves him. One episode to go and everything will be happily ever after and then I can move on with life post-Enchanté.
A few episodes ago I was pondering the idea that Theo was actually Enchanté, but he wasn't doing it because he was trying to get Akk's attention, he was actually losing his mind.
The underlying premise for this series is good and it's the reason why I started watching it. However, I don't know if it is the execution, the performances, or a combination of factors, but I just find it boring. Going by the comments on YouTube, you would think Force and Book have the most explosive chemistry that has ever existed, but I just don't see it. I think Force puts in a decent performance, but Book as Theo is so dull. I can excuse new actors, but for someone given a central role, he just doesn't cut it.
It's not the best series ever made, but it is watchable. Each episode ends up being like 15 minutes once you take out the opening and closing titles, so even if you don't love it you aren't wasting much time watching it.
I don't quite know what to make of this series. It's not terrible, but it could definitely be better. I think part of the problem is that you start to get into the story and then suddenly it's over. Maybe it would have been better as 4 longer episodes instead. Anyway, I'm going to stick with it and see how it goes.
My expectations were that this would just be some lightweight thing to pass the time, but it was surprisingly good. I can't get enough of Jet and Jame, so this was a perfect little series for me. I really hope to see more of them together in something else. 🥰
They are not unnecessary complications they are actually inevitable problems real couple face on daily bases lack…
I mean they are unnecessary now. We have 2 episodes to go and suddenly they are bringing in these issues that are likely to be resolved unsatisfactorily. If Chain had been a 'threat' throughout or if Aii had been equivocating the whole time about going to Japan I could deal with it, but to me it just feels forced when we're this close to the finish line. I still think this is a strong series, but I don't think this part has been executed well.
Now that we have that out of the way, let's get down to business. I'm so glad GY dashed my hopes so that when this came along I had zero expectations that it would be any good. I could only bring myself to watch the first four episodes in their entirety and just skimmed the remainder looking out for Jack and Koh. Seriously, they are the only reason I didn't drop this altogether. The rest of this was diabolically boring and Bas/Wayu makes me wish for myself a rapid onset of whatever Pha had.
At least they skipped forward at the end of this so the likelihood we will be inflicted with a Gen Y 3 is remote. Hopefully. 🤞🤞🤞
