I started with this drama since it's a high rated BL. I just watched the first ep so I was wondering guys if you'd…
This series shows is not your run-of-the-mill BL. It's a murder mystery with shocks, surprises and twist and turns, galore. The Bun/Tan relationship is an important component and it develops in a more mature and meaningful way from what the vast majority of BLs demonstrate. Nowhere near as cliched and formulaic as most. There's a secondary couple that supplies the standard cutesy fluff. It's a matter of quality over quantity, IMO. Hope you enjoy it! :)
One of the few movies that really shows homoaffective relationships in a fair way without being vulgar or very…
Your logic is flawed, your evidence is weak and ultimately upheld by superstitious belief in a sky wizard who, if s/he/it exists, probably gives no f*cks about genders and delights in love. Have a cookie.
Crap! I just realised something about Jane's death: the Diazepam injection! How would Peud know how to prep it? Oh, Rung, you did your sister dirty....
Honestly labeling someone as top/bottom just shows how unrealistic BL dramas are. In reality majority of couples…
Indeed. While I know some guys that strictly top or strictly bottom more consider themselves "versatile" to one degree or another. The main factor with bottoming is not about masculinity/femininity but physiology. If a guy's prostate isn't positioned in such a way that it is well stimulated by entry, then it's not very pleasant.
Other than this, my other genre peeves include "I'm not gay, I just like him," the tendency to involve limited or noncon, and entire friend groups discovering their orientations like it was some kind of class assignment. (Pun intended with the prevalence of scholastic settings.)
Now the mysteries are starting to unfold. I know now who killed Jane but the motive is still unclear.
I think her motive was pretty straightforward. Despite her being tangled up in other things, Rung drew the line at her sister's murder and did it as revenge. She did agitate for the investigation to be continued, afterall. I could be dead wrong, though...
Multiple levels of involvement and/or multiple levels of complicity by the range of baddies! Peud as Jane's killer makes sense as does Rung killing Peud. Didn't see M's sidekick as the judges accomplice. They threw in a good Red Herring with that other police officer. I suspect that Oat told the cops a fib to bait them in. I speculate that M isn't paralyzed at all.
Bun and Tan have Jane's passwords and will likely be able to get the evidence back. All our heroes just have to survive the next two episodes!
That was the first Korean BL I've watched. Cinematography and production values were great. The acting had potential but I found the plot facile and disjointed. There wasn't enough character exposition to get me to really attach to the characters. If the episodes hadn't been so short, there could have been so much more that could have been done with it. Not my cup of tea, in the end.
I've been rewatching the series and I just have to say that this may spoil me for other BLs, moving forward. The storyline, the acting, the cinematography, it's next level stuff for the field, IMO. Everyone involved in this production can be very proud of what they've accomplished.
I hope that TV Thunder can come up with a second installment before Tul's contact runs out, this year.
Well: I started with it on a whim and liked the first episode. I especially enjoyed seeing the lead re-evaluating his life-choices and finding them lacking. I'm really hoping that we'll see that both leads develop their feelings for each other honestly, though, as opposed to it occurring because of the heart transplant...

Manner of Death got my vote, hands down!
