Great first half but lost its touch second half but has a great ending

Personally, I liked the first 8 episodes of this drama. It focused on what this drama was about, fulfilling the wishes of the patients who don't have that much time to live. I like the stories of the patients. It just touches your heart so much when you see their story. It's also refreshing to see how the FL's character is the strong one in a way where she wants to protect the ML's character aka her love. It makes sense since he came from a broken life.

I almost wanted to say this is a healing drama but it's not really in a way since there's not much focus on it for the hurting characters, other than the ML's character, where you do see the healing process. The characters (Seok Jun & Joon Kyung) who had a trouble life do overcome their pain and hurt, however I wished there were more scenes and storytelling for them. It seemed rushed at least for their story.

As much as I wanted to see more of the other 2 orphan characters, this is also where the drama went downhill for me. Because of their lack of explanation of the healing process for these two and the introduction of the abusive father for about 6 episodes were kind of drag for me. This drama lost its touch that it had for the first half. Although they did try to bring it back in the second to last week of episodes featuring the grandma and her 2 grandkids, the multiple bad father scenes just made me angry and frustrated, and I had to skip those scenes. It was to the point where I didn't enjoy the drama as much as I did for the first half.

The final week of episodes made it up though, mostly the final episode. I felt like the last episode flowed well. It didn't feel rushed, and it was presented in a way where I was satisfied with finishing it. I'm also glad that they brought back the guest characters from the past episodes as well. Normally, writers will just forget about them after their story is done but I'm glad the writers for this drama didn't do that and brought them back. It just shows the great impact team genie had on these characters and I for one appreciate it.

Overall, great OSTs. I mean I just love all the songs in this drama. A great first half but stumbling in the second half. In the end, it had a great conclusion & nice wrap up to the drama.

Cute & Funny Drama Despite the Average Story Plot

If you're looking for a drama with a story plot that stands out, then this drama might not be for you. If you're looking for a drama just to enjoy, laugh, and have a good time watching, then consider watching this one.

While the story doesn't stand out as much, it revolves around a couple of situations. First half is mostly about reigniting the love for our main couple that started from a misunderstanding from the past. The second half focuses on the comic company that Qin Ge works for, her mental state from her work and her health, and also the secondary couple.

Other things to know about this drama:
* There is a love triangle: Qin Ge's assistant likes her. On the scale of 1 (not annoying at all) to 5 (I'm bother by this), I give this love triangle a 3. I've seen worse but this love triangle wasn't too bad but still annoying to me.
* A very small minor break up later on but last only like an episode/half an episode for the main couple, secondary couple, I think this happens like twice.
* Romance: Main couple: Guy chases girl, Secondary couple: Guy chases girl, Third couple: Girl chases guy

My favorites things about this drama:
* The ML: Bai Qi Jia seemed like a dull character from the 1st episode, but don't be fooled. This guy has a lot of character qualities. I love his clinginess, sneakiness, & smile he often shows in this drama. Very likeable from start to finish.
* The close friendships both Bai Qi Jia and Qin Ge have.
* Strong couple chemistry: Very cute and adorable couple scenes
* A lot of funny scenes - Favorite has got to me the drunk scenes of Bai Qi Jia
* No real evil characters - There are some characters who can be a bit annoying though
* A very cute, satisfying, and happy ending - Trust me, you'll smile big for the final episode.

Things that were missing for me:
* Lack of a story for the ML, Bai Qi Jia. We don't know much about his background as the drama never really told his story. It's mostly FL, Qin Ge, focused.
* A better explanation of someone who has Lupis. I felt like they missed this part here. It would've been interesting to see what one will go through if they have the disease but sometimes the way the drama was presented, it was forgettable that Qin Ge had Lupis until they show scenes of her mental state from this disease.

Overall, I like this drama. Though an average plot, it's a funny drama with a lot of cute and romantic moments. The way this drama wrapped up was very satisfying and happy. I enjoyed it.

A Building of An E-Sport Team, Plus Romance & Bro-Ship

Out of all of the E-sport dramas I've seen, this is probably my favorite by far. Story plot was pretty good, enjoyed the action scenes from the e-sport, loved the actors, loved the silly but cute romance between the leads, and the amount of bro-ship between the group of guys. Let me break it down what I experienced when watching this.

E-Sport
* The E-sport part of this drama is a little different than the other E-sport dramas. This drama showed lesser number of tournaments, I believe 2 in all, first one when they compete as a new team and the second one towards the end of the drama when they understood & learned how to work with each other. This E-sport is more focus on their team building, getting along with each other, learning each other's weaknesses and improving on it. It also shows the struggles & strengths of building a new team.
* Instead of showing multiple tournaments, there are a lot more e-sport training in this drama. There were a lot of in person game scenes from the actors and I appreciated this a lot because seeing the behind the scenes, this was a lot of work to do. Their work paid off though because I enjoyed those game scenes. They were action packed!

Romance
* It's the typical bickering of the ML & FL who eventually finds out they were each other's crush. Even a little misunderstanding in the beginning but you don't have to wait too long for the misunderstanding to get clear out.
* A funny but cute chemistry between our main leads: Lots of disruptions when it comes to kissing and the numerous times ML's character Yi Chuan fail on being romantic. Like, seriously, I just love watching their scenes. It makes me so happy and I laughed so much.
* A love triangle: SML likes the FL, who you do feel bad for. He does move on from it and becomes close bros with the ML afterwards. There's also this one girl announcer who likes the ML as well but her role, while annoying, is very minor. She doesn't play a big role so not much of an annoyance from her thank goodness.
* Secondary couple (Dong Shi & Girl Chu Tian): Not the best secondary couple I've seen but not the worst either. I just couldn't sense the chemistry as much compared to Yi Chuan & Jiu Jiu.

Other things I enjoyed:
* Best bro-ship: I love Bo Yu. He is so funny, the goofball of a friend but also a very caring bro to Yi Chuan. We also see the building relationship of the bros between Yi Chuan and boy Chu Tian.
* The reality aspects of building a new e-sports team: Some members don't get along, new players, pressures, struggles, & not much support in the beginning but then you see how things turn around with not giving up, dedication, and hard work.

What's missing for me:
* FL's character Jiu Jiu didn't really have much of a story. Focus seems to revolve more around the ML's character Yi Chuan.
* As part of the secondary couple, I expected a bit more about girl Chu Tian but the way she was presented, it seemed like she wasn't important at all.
* The ending was good but with all the focus on the Yi Chuan's injury in so many episodes, I felt like they miss details on this towards the end. Like there wasn't really a good conclusion on Yi Chuan's issue.

Overall, I enjoyed this E-sport drama. It was a different approach from the ones I've seen. The ending was not what I expected or preferred, but it was enough to leave me satisfied with it. The lead's chemistry, the bro-ships, & the in game battle scenes are why I enjoyed this drama the most. Definitely will re-watch again in the future.

Overall, Mostly Same Plot to the Original but There are Some Noticeable Differences

I loved the original and this remake. Watching this remake gave me the same feelings I had when watching, "I'm Not a Robot". I like them both to be honest, but despite the same plot, each has their own spin to it. Some of it I liked in the original while there were other things that I found I liked in the remake more than the original.

I'm making note on what's different from the original and the remake. Feel free to skip this part, but if you're interested, have a look at it. It does contain spoilers, so you've been warned.
What's different from the original
* FL's character doesn't have and live with her brother & sister in-law. Remake changes to uncle and aunt.
* Robot & FL's hairstyle are switched. Original: Robot had long hair, FL had short hair. Remake: Robot had short hair, FL had long hair
* ML's assistant was the FL's brother in the original. Here the assistant is his own person
* SFL's character didn't have a big role in the original. She was just there. She didn't really seem that important. The remake makes the SFL more involved and she's very likable.
* Secondary couple changes: Original had the female glasses researcher had a crush and fell in love with the SML (the lead researcher). This couple didn't happen until the very end. In the remake, the lead researcher & the SFL falls in love with each other and a lot earlier.
* Original had (although not as bad as I've seen) more of weak a love triangle. The remake doesn't have this at all.
* In the original, the ML was more furious at the FL, to the point where the FL received a small injury from the ML breaking a glass. It takes a whole explanation from the FL for the ML to finally understand and forgive the FL. The robot group left the ML due to the ML's lost of trust from them. The remake is completely on the lighter side. ML gets angry but the constant visits from the FL and the love ML still have for the FL made him forgive her easily without her having to explain at all. Robot group stays with the ML never leaving him.
* Company and the evil people in the remake are much harsher here than in the original. ML was threatened to lose his title as CEO in the original but still kept his house. Remake, almost everything is taken from the ML.
* In the original, the robot finds her way back home, filled with many sweet encounters the robot has made and the robot is alive. The remake makes this part doom and gloom, only a few quick nice scenes with the robot's encounter. Robot finds her way home only to die due to self-destruct mode, which was never in the original.

Other thoughts:
* Some people said the FL's character was really bad at pretending to be a robot. That was the whole point though. They kept this same character concept from the original and I for one thought this FL did a great job at when she was pretending to be a robot and when she played the actual robot role. While I think the ML, Yoo Seung Ho, from the original outshine more in his character than the remake, the ML here, Leon Leong also did a great job portraying his character as well. I also love how the SFL had more of a role here than the original. The best part is she's likable.
* Romance, while still a slow burn romance, I think this handled the romance better in the remake than the original, though, don't get me wrong, there are still a lot of sweet moments in the original as well.

Final Thoughts:
I feel like the remake of this drama stops around Ep 27. From there on out, it appears to be different content, including a kidnapping scene which just shows how wicked they made the bad guy in this remake. I guess that's what happens when you add too many episodes. You have to fill it with dumb things that strays away from the original story plot, which is why I lower the score for story a bit. That's the downfall of this remake drama but even with that setback, I think this remake gave us more of a conclusion on the ML's story than the original did. I'm very satisfied of how this drama ended. Overall, not too bad for a remake and I may rewatch it again.

Overall Drama is 95% Romantic Comedy, 5% Has A Bit Dark Story Plot

If you can get through the first 4 episodes, then I think you might like this, especially if you enjoy watching romantic comedies. The lead characters, Cha Woong & Seul Hae, do have an annoying aspect to them in the beginning but it wasn't to the point where I would get very frustrated with them. They both are very funny in this drama. Adding more comedic relief are the 3 ghost employees and then the Advisor, Mr. Choi.

Romance wise, there is a love triangle. It's a pretty tamed love triangle. Nothing too crazy until the darker sections of the drama occurs. That's where it kinda gets creepy & scary briefly. There is a 2nd couple in this drama as well. Both couples do have their cute & romantic moments with each other.

The overall plot idea was a great idea. How the writers and the directing of the drama went? Well, it could've been better. They definitely stalled the plot for too long, showing a ton of comedy (which I enjoyed) but not really progressing the plot. This made our characters seemed oblivious to what was going on for many episodes and allow for the evil spirit to get away with many things. Even towards the final episode, it was very messy as the characters still didn't know who the evil spirit possessed. The final battle with the evil spirit should've been longer and more detailed but was mediocre and anti-climactic. I mean we don't even see the last suffering & pain of the evil spirit as he stabs. We just see a black aura disappears. I'm kind of frustrated of this after all the people this evil spirit ended up murdering. Some positives on the last episode, the last 20 mins of Ep 16 outweigh the rest of the episode. This is why I give story a 3.5/5 stars

It's a drama that will make you laugh overall but just some flaws with the plot progression and the last few episodes. I think most will still enjoy it overall.

Lengthy Drama But A Good Heartwarming Drama to Pass Time

If you like dramas that has some reality aspects to them, then I think you should give this one a try. The plot dives into the lives of our 3 doormen with the more focus on the ML. It's about trying to improve oneself but at the same time, meeting with struggles, bumps on the road, failures, & even reaching to the point of hopelessness due to the conditions each character is in. However, there's that glimmering light that each character experience that eventually will get them out of hole they've been stuck in for so long.

What Else to Know? It is 37 episodes, so there are some episodes that feels like filler episodes. It's hard to get into the first several episodes as there's not much direction on where this drama is headed but if you can get through that, you might like it. A lot of screen time about the Aunties and their square dancing (you'll hear this square-dancing music a lot), there is an evil mother-in-law arc for Tong Na along her ungrateful and lazy husband. Thankfully, they are gone in the second half of this drama. Besides that, most characters are either likable or eventually likable. It's a lot of self-learning process for each character as well, as you do get to see their side of the story for some good number of episodes.

SPOILER ON ROMANCE:
If you're hoping for some good romance, this drama isn't it. Yes, there is some romance but it's not your typical romance you see in other dramas. It's a very slow progressing romance. ML chases FL (almost in a stalkerish way), who has no interest in him until around Ep 20. Officially gets together around Ep 24 only to have a breakup Ep 35 due to the lack of self-confidence (financially) of the ML. Yes this is a last few episodes break up C-drama cliche only to get together in the beginning of the final episode. Couple #2 (Cheng Jian Dian & Dou Zi) starts off together in the beginning but due to lack of confidence & motivation, pridefulness that Jian Dian shows, eventually breaks up around Ep 31. It looks like they get back together towards the end but no actual scene of them getting back together. Couple #3 (Wang Lang & Tong Na) doesn't have much interactions with each other until the last 10 episodes, where they officially get together in the beginning of the final episode.

Overall, I think the best thing about this drama is the amount of great relationship each character have for each other. The Bro-ship is fantastic as each of them always have each other's back. It's the best thing about this drama in my opinion and the good relationship development with the Aunties through dancing. Nice ending credit ost & great actors & actresses. A bit too lengthy for a rewatch for me but it's an okay drama to consider if you want to pass time or watching it for the first time.

A Good Start But Lost Interest Quickly

Honestly, I was excited but also hesitant to try another firefighter theme drama but sad to say, I'm disappointed how this ended up with the amount of episodes I've seen. It started off pretty good. A firefighter team trying to recruit more members, sees potential in the childish ML, recruits him and others to go through a training process. But see, the problem here is they rushed this part. Just like "The Flaming Heart", when you rushed scenes, the drama ends up being a mess as the writer here is trying to put too many ideas. The flow just messes up and this is how you start to lose interest. The editing and transition from scene to scene seemed similar to The Flaming Heart and if you've seen that, then you know how bad it is, as there are lot of times when you're watching this drama, things that happen seems random or out of place.

So, I stuck through "The Flaming Heart" because I ended up being too invested into the characters despite the poor plot and transition. This drama on other hand didn't do that for me and I just lost interest completely. What confirmed it for me is checking the last episode and SPOILER ALERT, the second ML dies so our secondary couple doesn't get a happy ending. It was already a lost of interest for me when my favorite side character dies early in the drama but seeing this just made my decision to not continue this drama.

I had hope for this drama to show the journey of the ML on becoming a firefighter. Like how he was like before (which they did sort of showed this), how he is during the training, his first mission, his hardships, the solutions to his hardships, etc, but this drama just doesn't do that. The FL's character is also very lacking, as the way the writer presented her, I didn't really care much when it came to her scenes.

I keep comparing the 2 firefighter theme dramas in this review but they each have their differences in their own way. Despite the poor plot, poor writing, & bad transitions both dramas have, if I had to pick one from the two, I would say "The Flaming Heart" is slightly better than this one. But again, that's just my preference.

Strength of the drama is the Youth Scenes & Stories

This is a lengthy review, so let me just summarize some important parts one usually would like to know in case you don't want to read the rest:
- There are no love triangles (though there is another girl who likes the ML, but she gets over her crush pretty soon and roots for the ML & FL characters). Only 2 couples officially, but you can see a 3rd couple within the deskmates even though it's never declared
- Focus more on the youth: The classmates were the interesting part of the drama for me. You may think 40 episodes is a lot (and it is in my opinion) but a good chunk focuses on the classmates.
- Typical bickering enemies to falling for each other main leads
- Misunderstandings/lack of communication
- Romance is mediocre: Though there are some sweet moments, it's not as satisfying as other dramas with the romance tag
- Unfortunately, this couldn't avoid the typical C-drama breakup.
- An unclear bad guy that doesn't become obvious until the end
- Ending is just okay, not bad but not an ending I would be completely satisfied with

Read Below For More Details

What I liked about this drama:
* The youth of this drama: Though this drama does have a set focus on a group of students, I really like how almost all of their classmates got to have a spotlight in a few episodes, so we got to see their side of their stories. I really appreciated this. Even though in my opinion this drama could've been shorten a bit, this is part of the reason that this drama has 40 episodes total.
* I like how the ML character Dong Nan has a liking to Spongebob. I feel like you see some sort of Spongebob often in this drama.
* The steady character development in Dong Nan, going from achildish celebrity to a caring music teacher
* The bonding of Dong Nan and his students
* The funny school security officers. Their scenes are always funny.
* Su Qi's parents being complete opposite of your typical C-drama parents (Examples: Trying to get rid of her to get more alone time with each other, her mom complaining that Su Qi cleans and cooks too much, LOL)
* The nerdy roommate/math teacher: I just find his interactions with the other characters funny.
* Sheng being the true MVP in this drama, taking care of everything for Dong Nan. Best overall character by far.
* Nice steady progress of our second couple relationship from start to finish
* Loved the music osts but it's pretty hard to find some to add to my playlist.

What I didn't liked about this drama:
* The writing for Su Qi isn't that great. She's a FL character so you expect more but the way she was presented was all over the place. Her character is such a roller coaster. In fact, sadly to say, she might be the make it or break it for you when it comes to continuing to watch or drop this drama. There's nothing wrong with a strong FL but what I hate about her character is her act of violence due to her short temper and when things don't go her way. The fact that they want to make it "comedic" when she beats up Dong Nan is not funny to me at all, as I stated in the comments previously, you wouldn't be laughing if the roles were reverse. She jumps to conclusions and forms misunderstandings with Dong Nan, always thinking the worst. I will say, this is the first half of the drama where she has this issue. The second half, she slowly starts to get better. Despite her moments where she does become likable a bit, her character doesn't develop as well as the ML. She pretty much remains the same with a few good changes here and there.
* Lots of misunderstandings and lack of communications
* Vice Principal Du Kai is hecka annoying. Seriously, his character serves no purpose other than to annoying the heck out of the viewers with his remarks on everything.
* No real punishment to that douchebag paparazzi or to the fake friend. They didn't get punish enough, if at all.
* Writers missed the opportunity on an actual villain in this drama. Seeing evil things happen in the last few episodes seemed very random, like there was nothing be built up to it.
* Dong Nan's initial conflict of plagiarism in the beginning never had an official conclusion
* Romance is a disappointment for the main couple: A lot of bickering for the first half of the drama, then you get some sudden flirts, and then enter drama cliches: accidental kiss, get together at Ep 28 only to break up at Ep 35 but get back together at the last episode.
* The make up from a break up is very weak. I expected an apology from Su Qi from the cruel words she said to Dong Nan from the break up but nope, nothing even close. Not even a confession to where she states she still likes him. Like there's not a bit of regret shown from Su Qi from what she did or that she really wants to be with him from the breakup (Ep 35) to the make up (Ep 40).
* Weak ending: It's not bad. How it ended kind of make sense for me but it's not satisfying for me. I felt like a lot was missing in this last episode.

Would I recommend you give it a try? Despite a lot of things I didn't like, I say yes. Like I said, the youth part is the best part of this drama and it's what kept me going. You just gotta overcome the temper of Su Qi in the beginning. Pass that part and I think you may enjoy it if you like dramas with a school setting. I think I would rewatch it but only the youth scenes.

Nothing Special About This Drama But Enjoyable to Watch

Me personally, I enjoy this drama from start to finish but that doesn't really make it a perfect (10/10) drama for me. There are a lot of things I like about this drama and other things I felt like this drama missed out on. So let's go over my thoughts.

What's in this drama:
* A boss & assistant relationship. FL is the boss and the ML is the assistant. This is an older female and younger male relationship
* Love triangle sort of exists in this drama but it's a tamed and controlled love triangle. Jiang Yue has a crush on her former boss Xu Ning, Jia Xin tries to help her get with her crush but eventually falls in love with her instead. This leads to Jiang Yue's feelings changed eventually to where she starts to like Jia Xin. All at the same time, Xu Ning ends up having feelings for Jiang Yue and Jia Xin's clingy and obsessed childhood friend Yan Ran has been chasing after Jia Xin since she was a little kid, hoping he would accept her feelings for him.
* Two other couples are featured in this drama: One couple showcase a misunderstanding which leads to hardship in their love while the other couple is just so darn sweet & cute.
* Heavily focuses on the company aspects aka Love Note App. Each ending showcases a love note advice from either the main or side characters.
* Minor villain in this drama. Appears very late in the drama and is only in a few episodes before being kicked out.

What I liked:
* Great chemistry between the leads & our cute & adorable side couple (Duo Xi & Qi Heng)
* OSTs in this drama are my favorite, especially the intro & ending songs. Added each one to my music playlist.
* Character development for everybody, from our main leads to our side characters who are our 2nd & 3rd couples.
* Love note advice at the end of each episode
* A satisfying and happy ending

What's I'm not a fan of
* Story was just average overall due to the plot being focus on the love note app and the company. I wanted to see more in-depth scenes about the backstory of our main leads. The drama showed some backstory but lacked the details and scenes for a viewer like me to understand the characters fully and to see the steady progress of overcoming personal struggles. Content was there for Jia Xin (mom and son relationship, & trauma from a close friend's motorcycle accident), & Jiang Yue (hardship with dad and the reason of not finding love).
* The handling of one of the side couple's misunderstandings: I don't wanna give too much away but I felt like it should've been more about the building of their relationship again instead of the instant "oh you still love me, let's be together again". I'm glad they're together again but I wanted to see a progress of this couple rebuilding their relationship, instead of acting like nothing bad ever happened between them.
* A bit too much clinginess and stalkerish actions.
* Filler episodes towards the end: I wasn't a fan how they introduce a so called "ex" and a minor villain, who only appeared for a short time for like 5 episodes. What's worse, the writers tried to make you sympathized with the villain. No thanks!

Liked I said before, I enjoyed it. Even with all of the stuff that I had some issues with, it was still an easy watch for me. Keep in mind, this may or may not be a drama for you but it's up to you now you have an idea on what to expect.

Comedic Bromance is the Stronghold of This Drama

Ghost Doctor is one of those dramas that can lure you wanting more episodes especially in the first half of the drama but it also shows a lot of filler scenes in the second half of the drama, which for me personally slowed down the progression of the plot too much, making the ending, while happy, not fully 100% satisfied. It did feel rushed towards the finale. Did I still enjoy it? Of course. Is it consider a 2022 top favorite? Maybe not, at least for me.

NOTE: It is a doctor drama so there is some medical terminology being used and explained in this drama. However, if you're looking for a drama where surgeries and the patients are the main focus, then this drama isn't it. Yes, there are some scenes of surgery and all but there's not much in-depth analysis being shown to the viewers.

What I enjoyed:
* Bromance is the main player here. We see the growing relationship between our 2 male leads Young Min and Seung Tak. These two are the comedy duo and why I kept watching this drama. You also see the character development within each character.
* Tess being a helpful spirit not just to other spirits but to humans as well. Though only a side character, he played an impactful role to a lot of people.
* A lot of comedy. I sure did laugh a good amount

Problems I have with this drama:
- Slow progression on the 2nd half of the drama: We had story material here about Seung Tak's struggle on being a doctor/surgeon and had the idea that Young Min is going to teach Seung Tak on becoming a surgeon, however the issue here is that the writers condense all of this into 1 to 2 episodes, instead of showing a gradual progress within every episode. As I stated above, it does seem like a lot of filler in the second half of this drama with a very slow progression in plot.
- Useless villains lasting until the very end: Honestly, the writers revealed that Young Min is a ghost that can possess Seung Tak early on which is okay but why have the villains until the very end. They didn't contribute much at all and were a waste of valuable screen time. Should've got rid of them around the 2nd to last week (or even earlier) of the drama.
- Our Coma Ghost's Stories: There wasn't enough of it and I felt like it was an open ending for them. I wanted more screen time for them and an actual closure to their story. Replaced the useless villains screen time with the coma ghosts, then I probably would've have more satisfaction with this drama.
- Though I usually like romance, romance wasn't needed here in this drama. Writers focused too heavily on that which I do blame on the progression of this drama sad to say. This is one of the rare occasions where romance would've better as a minor event. Also, I just couldn't feel the chemistry between Young Min & Se Jin, despite this drama keep showing their past, Seung Tak & Soo Jung seemed more like friends overall. I think the coma ghosts Bo Mi & Hoon Kil had a better chemistry as a couple but of course, the writers crushed my hopes on this by leaving this open ended.
- Female lead characters seemed more like support than main. I expect a lot more from a character that's consider a lead, but the writers just didn't deliver it for our female characters. Nothing really stands out from them as the male leads took over the spotlight.

To summarize, this drama is a good watch for the bro-ship. You'll laugh at their bickering scenes and silly moments. You'll also grow to like some of the support characters like our coma ghosts. Everything else is just kind of average and skippable.

This Drama: The Anticipation on What Happens Next

This is definitely one to add to my favorites for 2022. What I like about this was the progression of this drama from start to finish. We go from the lead characters freaking out that they're stuck in a time loop and keep dying in a bus explosion, to our lead characters wanting change and starting to look for clues for motives and doing trial and error on potential suspects of the passengers. The goal was to save everyone, so it was very interesting to see how the death toll decrease in this drama as our leads continue to do trial and error. Even though there was a main culprit, at times throughout the early stages of this drama, it seemed like the cops were the bad guys (even though I know they weren't. They were just like that due to suspicions & clues that they followed). Though not all of the bus passengers' stories were told, the ones that were shown was presented so well that you somewhat connected with them, even though they're just side characters. That's just how great the writing was.

Of course, I could only give story 4 stars though. There were plot holes in this drama but that's mainly due to Chinese censorship. Had this not been an issue, I'm sure the questions a lot of us had would've been shown in this drama like how the novel tells those extra details. Lead characters were great, but they were just missing a story. It would've been nice for them to have a story that connects to the main plot. The connection was missing for me other than knowing that they are the heroes of this drama.

The acting was phenomenal. Our leads were on point with their emotions and expressions and even the side characters did really well with their roles, from the cops to the bus passengers. Again, I would've liked to see more stories from the other passengers and the leads of course, just in a way to understand their character better, but this still was good overall.

Music wise, I think I only heard like 2 OSTs from this drama but those two songs ended up being my favorite and added to my music playlist. I enjoyed it everytime the OSTs played in the background.

Would I rewatch this? Most likely, though probably would start at where the lead characters start investigating instead of the beginning. I could do without the panic moments.

Potential to be great but final product was just average

There were so much content that was evident in this drama. The writers could've focus on the lives of the 6 students (our lead characters) but yet, this failed because they showed a lot about the school director's corruption on everything. Me personally, this is what ruined the drama for me. You could easily take this out and wouldn't even realize it was supposed to be in this drama. What makes matter worse is we don't even see the bad guys get punished for their bad deeds and there were so many screentime of the evil characters.

The plot/story details were poorly presented in my opinion due to this corruption, but I will have to say, there was content that should've been more focus on. Besides the building of the romance between the 3 couples, I wanted to see more of the process of a mending relationship between Ki Joon and Young Joo, not an instant, I hate you but all the sudden we're best friends again, how about Ji won struggle of career choice due to her mom's disapproval and the struggle of having doubts of her career choice. The content for Seo Young could've been her turning from a cold, hard hearted girl, due to being abandon by her parents when she was young, to someone who finds what love really is (from Young Joo) and begin to acknowledge others and make friends. Eun Bi's story of pursuing an idol career was going in the right direction until the last several episodes, where it lost direction. Ho Sung persistent crush on Eun Bi was okay but it would've been more understanding to me if we would've saw the story of his first love and what lead to the break up (even show us why did he have a son, as this drama showed randomly). I wanted to understand who his character was and what attracted him to Eun Bi but the writers failed to mention this. There are a lot more content that was evident but wasn't presented well or at all but I'll just leave it at this.

I like the cast overall. There were a few moments here and there where their acting seemed a bit strange to me, maybe it was the scene itself, but it was watchable. It's just that there were side characters that didn't get much attention all the sudden is mentioned in the very last episode and that was weird for me because there weren't much details about them other than we see them hanging around here and there.

The osts were okay. Good to listen to during certain scenes but not memorable for me or wanting to add it to my music playlist.

Definitely not a rewatch. One time deal for me.

Overall, it's a good cast so I would say watch it if you like the cast and have nothing else to watch for the time being. It's not a bad drama per say but I do have a lot of frustration knowing what direction this drama could've went but didn't.

A Good Balance of Sport and Romance in this Drama

It's been a while since I've watched a sports-related drama and you know what? This drama did a great job on showcasing the speed skating and the figure skating, though if I'm being honest, it did feel like speed skating was shown a bit more compared to figure skating but overall, I'm still satisfied. There was a very good balance on showcasing the sport and the romance. Sometimes the writers tend to overshadow one over the other, but this writer did a great job with each.

Story: The story was great overall. It showed the journey of the FL's character of wanting to become a professional speed skater and the ML"s character of his figure skating journey. It showed the hardships and struggles each encounter along the way. Any internal problems the main characters and side characters were shown and resolved. Nothing left open ended. The only reason, this is a 4.5/5 stars for story is I didn't really like the idea of a love contract for this drama. I just didn't see the point of this like your typical love contract drama (usually business related). The reasoning wasn't good enough for me to have this concept in this drama.

Acting/Cast: The main characters are great. I don't remember the last time I laughed this much from the leads. From being annoyed with each other, bothering each other, being sad, funny, and happy, both the leads did a great job portraying their character. The best friends as the side characters were my favorite. They also helped bring enjoyment to this drama with their dorkiness.

Music is decent. The intro and ending song sounds nice but not enough for me to listen through at the start and end of each episode.

Other things to note:
- Romance wise, there are 2 couples: The main couple of course and the secondary couple (the best friend of the ML & FL). There is a love triangle for the main couple (FL & another girl loves ML) but no break up with them, no love triangle for secondary couple but break up actually occurs.
- A happy and satisfying ending though I still wanted more for the last episode.
- You'll have a good laugh from this one

Overall, this is another one I'm gonna add to my favorites. Had a great time watching this one.

Another Love Contract Drama But Special In Its Own Way

Yes, I know... the idea of a love contract is not unique and it's pretty old. Overused many times for sure, but I just adore this one for some reason and I'm not a huge fan of dramas that deal of love contracts.

Drama clichés exists in this drama: ML and FL can't stand each other but through the love contract eventually falls for each other for real, a lot of misunderstandings up until Ep 15. After that, it doesn't happen anymore. A witchy second-female lead. She's the worst. She does things to ruin the FL. The only good part is her screen time isn't shown as much so that makes it watchable but she's still annoying when she shows up. SML is the childhood friend who fell in love with the FL. I don't see why some people have problems with him as he doesn't do anything evil to sabotage the ML. Sure he tries to win FL's heart but eventually just accepts being her friend. He's a good guy overall. The good news is that there is no evil Mother in law cliché. Though a bumpy start on impression, the MIL does approve and like the FL.

Honestly, the story is just average. Nothing really that stands out. But I gotta say, I love the chemistry of the ML and FL. Sure it's a rough start but once you get to the point where they start to realize their feelings for each other, you just can't help but adore and enjoy their screen time together. The highlight of this drama is definitely the ML and FL's screen time together. I was able to overcome any drama clichés and the evil SFL because of the strength of our main couple. Best of all, no break ups. I know that this can happen in love contract dramas but the writers did it right by not including this.

Unfortunately, I wished the rest of the cast were more useful. The second couple (ML's best friend & his assistant/FL's friend), the FL's best friend, the ML's assistant. They were just there. I didn't find their roles as important enough to remember their scenes. You could skip their scenes and you probably wouldn't miss much. They were a bit more involved towards the end but for me a little too late. Of course to replace this, we did get more screen time of our leads so I guess I can't complain too much about this. Music is great to hear during the scenes but nothing I would like to add to my music playlist.

Though the story is simple but nothing new, it's actually a good love contract drama overall. I wouldn't rewatch the whole drama per say, but I would probably rewatch the cute and romantic scenes of our ML & FL.

I watched this mostly because it was Nam Da Reum first male lead role in a drama and let me say, his acting, once again, doesn't disappoint. Though it was a web drama, his acting makes me look forward to the day where he's the male lead in a longer drama, where each episode is around 1 hour.

The strengths of this drama is the acting from our leads and side characters. Every character perform well overall. Also the OSTs of this drama, for me, are an easy add to my music playlist. I enjoy listening to every song that was played in this drama.

Story plot wise, it's average but somewhat lacking. A lot of plot holes, unanswered questions, certain characters don't have their conclusion and left open ended. It's to the point where I started to lose interest in what actually was going on story wise. I mean there were even a few episodes towards the second half of the drama, where I felt like nothing significant happened and it was just a waste of episodes. So much potential to give us a full understanding on why issues were occurring and maybe for us viewers connect with other characters that this drama gave screen time to, but at last, none of this happened due to the short time length per episode for this web drama.

It's a one time watch kind of drama for me. I mean if you don't have anything to watch, go for it. It's short, has great OST music, & best of all, a great male lead and female lead, who both show their great acting talent.
