I was annoyed that the Lee Sun Woo aka Eun Ho’s father’s brother in law didn’t fully address the fact that he cheated on his sister. Their relationship wasn’t even strained after he found this out. Instead he focused on the issue of Eun Ho. It’s hypocritical and it’s really sad that he doesn’t even care about his own sisters well-being. Her spouse cheated on her and they’ve been in a relationship since high school. That’s so messed up. They acted like it’s no big deal and at the end of the drama he calls him family and practically let’s him have the foundation. I mean he’s been relying on his wife’s money to get this far and he had the nerve to cheat on her. They just glossed over the whole thing and it’s quite disappointing. Otherwise it’s an awesome drama.
The cinematography, costumes and actors are all beautifully. The story is weak. The characters are lacking depth, the story was lacking but the bromance is cute!
Even though it was a beautiful drama, I’m disappointed in the ending. How could they erase all of this couples memories for the sake of Hyun Soo “finding” himself. Although he’s not a real psychopath, and it was suggested that he was misdiagnosed, he certainly needed therapy for the ptsd, emotional trauma and stunted emotional growth. Amnesia is not the answer. He didn’t forget his childhood. He only forgot the guilt he felt for initially manipulating Ji Won. He needs guidance on how to cope with those negative emotions, how to minimise his manipulative tendencies, how to deal with his hallucinations if they pop back up and how to increase his emotional intelligence. He already has a loving family who would support him through his therapy. The power of love and amnesia aren’t the cure. I especially don’t get why the writers would ruin such a beautiful drama by bringing back in the most annoying kdrama trope. Not to mention he’d already experienced emotions that helped him understand what he wants from life and where he belongs, which is with his family. I don’t get what he needed to “find”! I’m so annoyed at the writers. I still thoroughly enjoyed the drama and I still think it’s the best drama of 2020. I just wished the writers showed us more of their creative side in the end :(
This movie was savage. The main character was no different than his colleague who double crossed him. At the beginning of the movie he did the exact same thing to the PD-nim for the radio show and he showed no remorse.
As for the Prime Minister, he was no different to the terrorist as he was willing to sacrifice the people on the bridge for his own goals and to cover is shortcomings. I understand that he is in a situation where he cannot comply nor negotiate with the terrorist but he and other higher ups made the decision to have the TV anchor say provocative words to the terrorist so he would blow up the bridge and everyone would forget the corruption of the government.
There was no intention to take responsibility for the governments wrongdoings which can be seen at the end of the movie when the Prime Minister announces that everything the terrorist said was untrue. The government has a duty to protect its citizens yet it failed to do so when the builders drowned and their families didn’t receive compensation, and that terrorist was a result of their actions.
Again as a result of the government and people in power at the broadcasting station the main character ends up becoming a terrorist and blowing the station up when he realises there are no morals being upheld and everyone is a hypocrite hiding behind an illusion that they exist for the sake of the general public. The law is useless. Justice doesn’t exist.
The police were also immoral in the end as they had orders to execute an innocent civilian, and they would’ve carried it out. The only difference between them and the terrorist is that it would’ve been been justified by the law.
In the end the only person who cared about the people on the bridge was the terrorist. Because initially the main character didn’t care about their safety and he didn’t call the cops. He only began to really care when it got person and his ex wife was involved.

A meaningful and highly entertaining drama about fighting for basic human rights. Considering the worlds current affairs its only fitting to watch these kinds of dramas! BLM!!!!
This drama is ridiculous. The chemistry was amazing but the story went haywire and basically becomes the most ridiculous thing I've ever watched. I didn't believe reviews and comments who wrote how pathetic it becomes. The first 3/4 of the show contradicted those negative reviews... so I thought they were just haters... BUT NO. THEY WERE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT.
