Okay so I actually like him but Kento's acting still irritates me, something about his facial expressions don't really match the emotions he's trying to convey. In the end I don't really care because I loved this drama, it was so much fun and worth the hype.
I understand why a lot of the cast can't come back but they're part of what made the drama so much fun so it feels odd. I think they should have scrapped the idea of a second season for the time being and waited a while... Not gonna lie I'm still excited to see Sohee in a drama. They could pull it off if they advertise it as a story with a similar concept but not completely related to the original hmm.
Horikita Maki and Narimiya Hiroki are two of the most iconic Japanese drama stars to me it still hurts me to think about their retirement but I'm glad they seem to be doing well.
I don't know much about Kim Woobin but cancer is really tough to recover from (speaking from experience) so I hope he takes enough time off and the media/fans don't bother him about new roles.
I haven't seen this drama, but in general, here are my thoughts on situations like this:If a kid is 14 and has…
This is so true! There are many books I've read and enjoyed when I was younger where this was the case. I do believe the summary says "she becomes attracted to one of her students" though.
there are laws in japan having to do with sexual assault that define a minor as a child 12 or under.
That's interesting and kind of disturbing to hear considering their coming of age there is 20 so technically even a 19 year old should be considered a minor in that case.
Hmm there's definitely a double standard because of how many male teacher/female student romances there are in Japan that (from what I know of) aren't received negatively by viewers. It's still unacceptable to me but there's a significant difference between a high schooler and a middle schooler... so it's probably why so many people are angry. As wrong as it may be I think many cultures have the belief that older high schoolers (17-19) are "mature enough." I doubt this will happen anytime soon but I hope this negative reaction means there will be less student/teacher plots in the future...
i keep remembering this drama because it's one of the first ones i watched and i enjoyed it at first but then the last episodes... now i know why i used to think k-dramas were bad... i just chose the wrong ones LOL
this is certainly a great movie (it left me with a heavy feeling in my stomach) but at the same time i fail to see how the majority of people view it as /exceptional/ because i just found it to be ordinarily disturbing. maybe i just read too many psychological thriller novels...
