I would actually disagree. Hae Hyo is one of the best secondary leads for me since he doesn't force his feeling…
I see where other fans are coming from but I agree with you. HH is the first SL character that I've seen where his reactions are pretty much what you might experience "irl". Yes HJ is his best friend so it would make sense that they probably attracted to the same "type". The most important part of two friends liking the same person is who THAT person likes. It's not like HJ took a full step back when JH was saying that the guy she fan-girled/liked was HH. I've never been a fan of the "I love you so take responsibility for my feelings." trope. The only person responsible for your feelings is you. It's how you act on your feelings that show your character. Trying to force someone who clearly doesn't feel the same way to "take responsibility" doesn't do anyone any good. (The exception to this rule is when a marriage is breaking up... it's necessary for both parties to figure out their part in the failure of the relationship to find closure and move on to better things.) JH is smart enough to have figured out that HH may have a little crush on her. By being upfront with HH about her feelings for JH, she's been able to thread the needle and HH has been so thoroughly friend-zoned he can make light jokes about his feelings. I found time and humor is the best medicine when a friend suddenly starts acting like they "like" like you. By not taking them seriously you don't give their feelings the weight needed to make them important.
Such a shame. She just gave birth earlier this year. I hope she wasn't suffering from an untreated case of postpartum depression. I had a friend who had it and was too ashamed to seek help for it because she thought it meant that she was a terrible mother. Thank goodness her mom noticed the change and dragged her to the doctor... she told me later that she seriously thought about killing herself. The only thing that kept her from going thru with it was the fact that her husband was TDY. (temporary duty) for school and since she didn't know how long it would be before someone found her she was afraid the baby would go hungry and maybe die with her. Her mom flew in to make a surprise visit took one look at the state of her house and the way she was dressed and knew something was wrong. The doctor gave her some anti-depressants and had her to a support group with other women going thru the same thing.
I like Nakamura Tomoya but I am bothered that the female lead is still a teenager.
The way you said it I thought she was still in high school. She's 19, and that makes her old enough. When I was 19 I had been in the US military for 2 years and got married just before I turned 20.
