Yes, i watched it (and it left a deeeep impression, one of the best in 2012) At first I couldn't quite understand, why they outlined north korea in such a benevolent way. But then again it was fiction and the main goal of the drama was that the viewers see that the unification is the most important thing, besides that NK is a terror regime. And taking IRIS as an example even there NK was portrayed as a country which isn't that bad. But dramas are quite a thing if you think about it. It seems like they can have such a political impact, even if it's "just" a manmade story. however that's the feeling i get about them and with this understanding it's rational why they present the relationships between the countries in such a way. That's what's so shocking about gaksital, since there didn't hold back there.

You've watched IRIS. Don't waste your time. So much acting potential wasted...

So far I haven't seen a kdrama with such a delicate story. Even when they make a kdrama about north korea they pay a lot of respect to the country, trying to not upset them in any way. Bridal mask is different because they impress it on japan which still can't reflect upon their past.

For me it wasn't just the torture (which is bad of course, but you've seen it often enough, take iris or a historical drama from joseon dynasty) But how ppl turn into monsters because of a stupid ideology.
You know there were many movies about hitler and the holocaust. This drama is exactly as cruel as those movies, and it's not like you watch them because you want to have a nice story. Bridal mask is the same and that's what makes it so cruel for me. It's great that they do it, it's awesome how they tell the story, but it's not a drama I watch for fun. Every episode leaves me in deep thoughts and with a nauseous feeling.

This drama is really awsome, but it's also the cruelest drama I've ever seen. Knowing the author and director showed just a glimpse of what the japanese did to Korea. Damn facsism

WAHHHH!!! I am so happy, a historical fantasy drama. The setting is great and yoo seung hoo with long hair again (even if it was just three minutes) muhahahaha. Ahh I just really hope it won't get boring later. The start is perfect for a good drama and it's funny too. Nihahahahah -> happy

I am so pissed about the olympics and that they won't show my current drams that I will pick this up, as a revolt. I will watch it in two weeks. Challenge accepted !!!!

I am really curios as well since it could ruin the whole drama. I thought about it the whole day, and the only reason that comes to my mind is that he has a terminal illness. They can't be related or something like that cause they dated while the family was still around. But a fatal disease would have a too dark mood for the drama. But any other reason that comes to my mind is not strong enough. It's driving me crazy. Gnaaah

You were right. I started to watch I need romance 2 and it's great. I'm pretty mesmerized by it (and the second season is really better than the first) A good substitute for a gentlemans dignity ^_____^

Yeah but you know. I believe Koreans should think more occindental, and not freak out because of every tiny bit family related stuff (They always act like it's Armageddon).... But then we wouldn't have such good dramas...

Aren't there anymore dramas like this. I've watched the recommodations already but both didn't even reach near the Awesomeness of A Gentlemans Dignity. How can this drama just make my heart go rollercoaster(ing). Laughing one moment, a second later crying. Just don't start watching it before all episodes are out, it kills you and you can't enjoy your real life anymore, because you live from episode to episode.

I wonder how this drama should be related to nodame cantabile. If so then it should be also related to beethoven virus because it has a classical orchestra in it.... Doesn't really make sense. But this whole drama doesn't make any sense. Well, let's watch and see if it gets better...

AHHHHH! He will star in another drama at the end of this Year. AND IT WILL BE AN ACTION DRAMA. This made my day, I am so happy muhahahahaha. This will be awsome. From the creators form IRIS and Athena. This will be his breakthrough Yeah!

How can guys around 40 be that handsome. This drama has such good jokes and is uniquely romantic in it's own way. I am addicted I could watch it the whole day. And waiting one week kills me gnah. I shouldn't have started and just waited patiently

I am somehow really disappointed with the latest reviews. It's not the worst ending ever. I've seen much worse things than that. And Yes the ending was quite unbelievable. But the drama till then was somehow nice. The writers made Kang Young Gul into an Anti-Hero. Something like Shakespears Richard III. And with this I can somehow relate to the ending, even though I don't like it. But I don't run around and tell ppl not to watch it, just because the ending was quite off. The actors weren't that bad, the story had some nice points and the music was good. I know you are disappointed, but most endings suck. Please don't reduce the drama on the last episode.

But they are not already over with this subject. There ist still Time Slip Dr. Jin. XD
