If I remember correctly there won't be a sequel under this name because the story was stolen from someone else.…
That's the one, I have not watched it yet because last time I thought about it was right after the lawsuit ended. From what I understood Princess Agents was only a portion of the novel and they tried to make enough changes, especially anything related to the Novoland universe, to not get caught for plagiarism, but the author of Pearl Eclipse was able to prove it was stolen. The author was very adamant about getting Pearl Eclipse made into a drama.
so... after 5 years apart and there's still no sign of season 2 for this? What a pity.... i cried when yue decided…
If I remember correctly there won't be a sequel under this name because the story was stolen from someone else. There was a court battle about it and the original author won. They original story was part of the Novoland series of novels called Pearl Eclipse. And I believe they have already made Novoland Pearl Eclipse in 2021.
Yes JSM is also replacement of the original actress that suppose to play MuDeok and GYJ is already in the picture…
really if people are paying attention to the story, it was always gonna have to have 2 actresses play the part, on a side note, this is a Hong sisters drama, and they rarely give a Hallmark ending
Her former agency said she was in talks for part 2, and Somin said it's not true that i'm not in part 2but later…
I always thought she "had" to say that because part one was not ended yet and we know "why". Damage control on the leak. I could be wrong but thats how I understood it.
I don't understand why people are upset that So Min is not in part 2 when she was never supposed to be. Even she said her contract was for part one when it got leaked there would be a part 2.
I haven't seen the first season, but why isn't Jung So Min's character in the second season? If it's a major spoiler…
I recommend watching part 1 first, the only reason there are 2 parts is because of how seasons work for this type of drama in Korea. In reality this is a one season drama with 30 eps.
people keep hating on the fl, and yeah that character needed better something, but overall I really enjoyed this show, whoever said it reminded them of Psych was dead on, all the craziness really reminds me of that show
don't think this really is a 2nd season, it's more like they had a 30 ep show and just chopped it into two parts…
I agree with you that I think they wrote it to be 30 eps, but that goes against they way the drama industry does seasons. This type of drams is always slated to be 16-20 eps and that how they are scheduled. Thats why I called it part one and part two and not a second season. It also explains why part two is set to be broadcast during the winter season which typically has shorter dramas because of the various holiday specials.
I think this is a bit unprecedented for the Hong sisters. They are pretty famous for saying they would never do a second season of any of their dramas. I really enjoyed this "part one" and look forward to "part two".
I'm guessing a lot of people watching this have never watched The Villainess. Non stop action with a high body count is this directors style. Although it is definitely a lot more over the top action than The Villainess was. They used just about every type of action sequence ever created. Its like John Wick mixed with Bond and Mission Impossible with a little bit of Total Recall thrown in for good measure.
So even in movies Lee Kwang Soo is the first to betray, lol. But to be serious, this was a fun movie to watch. Good action, the right amount of comedy, and a good story, the only thing missing was a Hans Zimmer music score.
Such a good drama. Its like a female version of Good Doctor, and it doesn't disappoint. I've been watching Park Eun Bins dramas for a long time and she always gives a great performance. One of the few child actors that have been successful through teen and into their adult years.
I watched the first 2 episodes last night and then found out it's written by the Hong sisters. I don't think I really need to say anything else since I've watched every drama they have ever made.
