I wouldn't be able to, I remember when this started and I couldn't get past episode 2. Prior to that I had watched all the various version of HYD, the anime, and read the manga. I had always felt there could be an American version, but this made me realize it could never happen.

I think I have only dropped maybe 2 or 3 dramas in 13yrs of watching, and those were early on. I learned to check the cast and the writers and look for people I like to watch or people that have written stories I liked before watching a new drama. Every now and then I will randomly watch something after seeing a clip, but that doesn't happen to often. Even if I start a drama and then get frustrated I still finish what I started and then I can justify the rating I give.

I wouldn't really call it a sequel, more of a side story since its different characters but she's a relative. I'll probably watch it since I really liked SWDBS, but I wish they had done more of a prequel instead. Like go back to when the first matriarch of the family got her powers.

I feel like this is gonna have a Japanese ending. You know where its great and happy and then at the end everyone dies. Something like that. I don't see how we are gonna get a Hallmark ending.

Drunk driving is stupid, especially today if you live in a city like Seoul where you have other options for getting home. That being said, as long as the result was that no one was injured, she should receive whatever the law dictates, but I don't think she should have go on hiatus from filming because of it. No one really believes they reflect. If you want to reflect, keep doing your job and throw in some public service ads admitting to what you did, why it was dumb, and promote one of the other ways of getting home. Now if she had injured someone or destroyed a lot of property, thats a different story.

She is doing a good job in Bravo, My Life considering its her first major role and its a daily drama. Hopefully it will lead to many more. And she's another on that completely doesn't look her age.

Yeah, my dad was a Vietnam vet, and ep 6 was by far the most difficult for me to watch so far.

Thats mostly true. The drama ending was pretty much the same as the webtoon except for a couple of things. They don't say it in the drama but there is a 3yr time skip. The webtoon ends on Christmas Eve. The boy probably got his GED but he's in college now the same as AiYi and they are dating or at least go on dates because he calls to ask her out after work. The rest of the ending is pretty much the same. The webtoon ends in the with her performing magic and asking the little girl "Do you believe in magic?" just like the drama.

well I mean, technically she's snooping and peeping where he lives, and she's not really a nice person, and she was constantly doing stuff to Bella his only family

I really enjoyed binge watching this in one day. Been a while since I could say that I actually enjoyed the ending and I like how they left a bit of "mystery" about certain things.

Yeah, the ending is a minus, but Ki Joo and Jae Kyungs performances make it worthy of a rewatch.

for over a decade I have felt like there needed to be either a Korean or Japanese version of Skip Beat, especially now that the manga is so far along, many of us are still disappointed that the anime has never had a 2nd season, my only problem is that I'm not sure that a live action can properly portray the "Kyoko-verse", the Taiwanese did an ok job but the cgi couldn't make up for it, and they would need a REALLY good actress for Kyoko

Yet another drama that I randomly come across when watching other stuff and it turns out to be better than what I was originally watching.

My only disappointment is we never find out why the lady in the paining was waving in Ep 3.

If I had to describe this I would say you take a pot, pour in some Hotel del Luna and some Mystic Pop Up Bar, add in some Aesop's Fables and Grimm's Fairy Tails for seasoning, and stir.

I feel like this was a good remake, but didn't have as much impact on me as the Korean version. Kim Yoo Jung has so much more experience than Shen Yue that she's able to lead her male counterparts along who are always years older than her. I also think the family interactions of the Korean version was better, but again you had veteran supporting actors playing those roles who always have an impact in whatever they do.

I felt this was good, Shen Yue and Jasper had some chemistry for their roles. I thought the secondary couples were nice. In the end though I don't think it had as much impact as the Korean version. Kim Yoo Jung is 3 yrs younger than Shen Yue but has so much more experience, its hard not to see a difference. Shen Yue is good though and she keeps getting better. She reminds me a bit of Rainie Yang who was a rom/com queen for about 10yrs.
