Can someone explain what it means to be a ‘heroic husband’? Is it different than just a normal husband? 😂
Jose Benny asked the same question below. ren answered.

idk why "heroic husband" is the translation lol, like in 2021 with the drama "my heroic husband" when the chinese title is "zhui xu" in chinese "zhui xu" is a "son-in-law living at wife's parent's house" (and it's normally deemed humiliating for the son-in-law because he's essentially married into her family where as it's normally a bride marries into the husband's family). we don't have such a thing in english so probably why they made something up but it's nowhere near to what it should be translated to lol.
I can understand the lack of chemistry between ML and FL. They shouldn't have any at the moment ep 1 - 11 as ML…
RE lack of chemistry.... I think that it is how Ren Jia Lun is choosing to portray how Lun Yan interacts with other people. His eyes often don't click with others. His monotone voice delivery doesn't help either. Look how he greets Xin and Chang in ep. 1 17:37. Looks like he is remembering his lines. I like the actor and his character. just my thinking.
More than halfway through and I am still invested in this show. Not in the romance though.I like Ren Jua Lun and…
To me, their eyes show what's missing. Li Qin's eyes and how the pupils move show emotion and interest, but Ren Jia Lun's eyes too often don't. When he looks and looks at her, it looks like staring, not interest. Perhaps that is a conscious decision by the actor or director on Lu Yan's character. It comes across as remembering his lines.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the drama. Agree with you - I am enjoying it too. I am watching this for…
LQ is doing the heavy lifting in this series and in the Dengdeng/Yun Xi and Lu Ran relationship. Gu Bei Xi does heavy lifting on the male side. So far at least.
1:37 on alternate ending. Transferring money every month was the only connection that they had afterwards. Scene where she is looking at her phone with the red line.
Actual run time for each episode is about six minutes something. The rest is taken up with the ending credits/song and perhaps illustrations from the webtoon. One episode ran for seven minutes.
sooo i'm at ep 14 now. After yunxi dead he decided to seal himself for thousand years. Leaving the war behind…
There is a scene (beginning of ep. 7) where Lu Yan enters a room/hall where Zhu Rong and a bunch of his henchmen are sitting. He battle Zhu Rong and kills him. That ends the war. Then he can rest in the mountain. In that battle, Zhu Rong teletransports around which other villains can't do. That is why in present time after battling a villain who fights the same way in ep. 15, he decides that Zhi Rong is alive.
It's basically the journey of ordinary Dengdeng to find how she fits in with her goddess Yun Xi and Lu Yan's struggle to find out, to fit in and come to terms with his relationship with Yun Xi, who is now Dengdeng. Worth watching, for me. I love the FL.
I have been stuck on episode 6 for two days now. Try as I might I just can't get past it. This is a show where…
Skip over to ep. 7 from 18:43 the next two scenes (especially the snowy scene) and especially beginning part of ep. 8. Mebbe this will help you to continue watching.
3 episodes in and I love Deng Deng's quirkiness but the ML is starting to bore me out with his blank expressions…
He is supposed to be stoic like a lot of cdrama ML dominants. The internal struggle as he seeks to define his role with Dengdeng, who is also finding her Yun Xi along with Dengdeng's natural charisma keeps me watching.
Leon Lai's character does not seem to be just a guest role. It looks like a main villain (He is supposed to be…
I think that he will show up near the end as a biggish reveal. There will be often be hints of him. I think that he will only battle one time at the end. That's why he is a guest.
