https://mydramalist.com/list/3rW7oZ94 Most Promising Rookie Actors poll. Just for fun, I put Akaso's name there since he is definitely a promising rookie actor. Vote for our baby :) Note: I don't know why Yamazaki Kento's name is there? He's young but definitely not a rookie, god knows how many lead roles he has done..
What is the definition of "rookie" here? Is is the number of lead role or the years they've been active? For example, Leo Luo has been in the industry for 10 year so he can't be considered rookie. This is rather confusing..
this drama hasn't even aired yet, only one casting is announced and the drama had only been announced a few days…
At this rate, we will surpass AIB's comments very fast xD I've put AIB on hold since Ep 3 since I watched it for Machida at the first place. I really want to finish it since it's such an excellent production, but I really can't stand that kind of gory story the most >_< I'm so conflicted...
Off topic, but has anyone heard or seen this 2020 Japanese BL movie - Beneath the Shadow? https://mydramalist.com/32205-shadow It starred Ayano Go and Matsuda Ryuhei and the director is Otomo Keishi who directed Rurouni Kenshin! Omg, how come I've never heard of this movie before? It doesn't look like happy go-round story, but it's on my soon-to-watch list already. Wow, Japan is really in the forefront in terms of the number of popular actors who star in LGBT stories.
Since today is one month anniversary of Kurodachi’s relationship and after the drama finale, I’ll summarize the updates that have been going on in the last one month.
• CM won Galaxy Monthly Award in Dec 2020 for TV category making it eligible as candidate for the annual Galaxy Award • CM won several awards in KKTV Annual Japanese Drama Awards in Taiwan, including Most Popular Drama, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor (Machida Keita) • CM took the leads in the interim result of readers’ vote in TV Drama Academy Award, including Best Drama, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Song. • CM ranked #2 in the “Most Addictive Drama 2020”, Kurosawa Yuichi ranked #2 and Adachi Kiyoshi #5in the “Hot Guys that Make Your Heart Throb 2020” based on Modelpress poll • Machida’s Insta followers reached 1M on 9 Jan which is exactly 3 months after CM first broadcast (what a good sign) • Akaso started Weibo account and he has 84K followers in less than a month • Oricon ranking for celebrities photobook weekly sales: - Akaso’s photobook is in top 5 for 8 consecutive weeks now - Machida’s photobook ranked #2 during 1st week of Jan 2021
ADD: Akaso is ranked #3 in the Most Popular Japanese Actor 2020 in China by Weibo survey, only behind Yamashita Tomohisa and Katayose Ryota. Considering he's a newbie, Chuchu is really popular in China :)
Well, I promised I would give an update if I got any further information on this unsolved mystery of Cherry Magic…
Finally the mystery is solved :) and that whole video is incredible, I wonder how much efforts is put into making that video with so much details analysis. Chinese fans are really on different level XD The video also pointed out the magazine on Adachi's bed "Joy Joy" (on 21:29)? It looks like a magazine girls would buy, with cute hearts cover so it implies that Adachi probably start reading that kind of magazines to know more about romantic stuffs? I can't read the Chinese explanation and the magazine cover is too blurred to read. But again it proves how much care and love the whole crew put into this little drama, and the viewers can definitely feel it.
So many things to look forward to after one month of CM ending: Machida's new drama from Feb 11, Akaso's guest role appearance on Jan 27 (he looks so hot!!) and we are still waiting for whatever shoot Akaso and Machida did together. We are so lucky both of them are busy and continue producing new works. I'm a happy fan \^^/
Wow, 13k comments! In 1 sentence tell me why I should watch this. :-)
I'm not good with 1 liner, so maybe you wanna check the reviews above :) But if I have to try "because it's one of the most heartwarming story and sweetest couple I've ever seen in any drama and watching it makes my heart full and warm".
