Actually, I started it way back in April when it first premiered, but I'm stuck in episode 36 because, as usual, the ending is not exactly as I hoped. Except the book has a happy ending, which is mind-boggling. Why do they always want to make us cry so much?? But, compared to LYF, Till the End of the Moon is basically a fairy tale :) I do love it indeed. Tantai Jin is my second favorite character this year, after Xiang Liu ♥️
Yeah I remember when you said the English subtitles are sort of funny and they remove a lot of context and nuance of the original language. I can't wait to be able to ditch the subtitles. I'm studying Mandarin and I love it but it's hard lol
Yeah, exactly. It's so good you're a man! And you're Chinese! Doubly awesome!! Because it's always us women fighting like mad over this issue.
Yeah. About that. It's really...you know...it's bad. Stupid doesn't even begin to cover it. I dropped it altogether but I'm still here because Xiang Liu won't let me leave lol
She loves him. Alas, circumstances are complicated. That's what makes it all so beautiful. And so frustrating.
Ok, so this is a bit long for a simple comment here. If you have the time and the disposition to check one of our threads, you'll find all the answers about the novel in great detail. It's like our Harvard section of Lost You Forever :)

Actually, we have been robbed blind on that 37 years of healing sequence. In the novel it's all so incredibly beautiful and intimate, but unfortunately it had to be toned down and rushed considerably. It's upsetting and infuriating indeed. It's so hard to be on this Xiang Liu ship. Everything is going against us all the time. It's truly maddening.
Unfortunately, even though the novel can be considered a masterpiece, the ending is not exactly everyone's cup…
Yes, but it's inevitable.
Yes, the novel has been around for a decade. Yes, the author has said countless times that she doesn't consider it to be a tragedy (it's one of her few novels where the FL gets a "happy" ending).
But none of that negates the fact that Xiang Liu is arguably one of the best fictional characters in recent times. He has some of the most interesting and complex arcs and his character growth is considerably better developed when compared to some of the others, with much more attention dedicated to him throughout the story, even though he's only the 3rd ML.
And now that TJC brought this character to life in such a defining and definitive way, it's only natural that most people will be really upset. Cdramas change things all the time when adapting books. But for some reason this was the one drama where they decided to follow the script to a T.
Except for those horrid leaks. Those will be the cause of the comment section being turned off for good haha 😹
Done with the show.8/10 for entertainment and visualsAlso, not watching part 2 🤡 I asked for the spoiler of…
Unfortunately, even though the novel can be considered a masterpiece, the ending is not exactly everyone's cup of tea.
Hence the absolute madness that we occasionally see in this comment section. I'm afraid it will be considerably worse by the time the second season arrives, especially if the leaked script turns out to be true. Your review pretty much sums up what many of us think.
Edit: Which by the way, is my biggest complaint about his character. Oh, well.

The number of pages can be quite intimidating, but the knowledge you'll gain makes it a very worthy reading.
For example, here on page 76, you can meet AH, with her excellent explanations and her excerpts from the novel, and Liddi, who translates things for us and also offers her excellent inputs: https://mydramalist.com/discussions/lost-you-forever/110123-xl-and-xy-story-and-romance-warning-spoilers&page=41?page=76
I'm trying to find the part about the healing, but it will take me some time. I'll message you once I find it.
I kid you not, we'll have to receive a certificate after this is all said and done :)
