I'm surprised someone of your moral turpitude and media policing would advocate for an alleged gentle suitor to…
You Jingers really are going down the depths of the lowest of lower levels.
Loser, dumb, clown, fanatic and other colorful adjectives. Can't you refute other people's opinions with intelligent arguments without having to resort to ad hominem attacks? Such vulgarity. It was all really fun at the beginning but the way you are losing your decency over a fictional character that will never have unanimous support no matter how much screeching you make is actually sad. If Jing was a real person, he would be appalled.
Yooo now that you're here things will certainly get better. The sun is already shining brighter woo hoo! Love…
Oh, that's right! Newbie in the area! Well, welcome to MDL. It's really fun and we learn a lot. Specially during the battles. Just look out for the arrows! They're coming from all sides! Retreat! LOL
Hey Butt, I know you don't want to engage with Kokuto anymore, but you didn't say anything about other people, so let's keep engaging some more, deal?
This you? "I think there's no need to police others on what & where to criticise after all these are characters not real people."
This also you? "Yes I agree I criticise people who ship problematic ships which have realistic abusive elements. Not with only this ship but many other ships & I won't waver. "
So which one is it? You're bothered by the speech police but it's all fine as long as you're the one policing people's opinions and behaviors? LOL "problematic ships", this is all so 2023. No wonder the lack of creativity these days is ruining Western media, and now you want to carry this over to Asian entertainment as well. No thanks.
While you're at it, please go police Squid Game as well, all that gore and those greedy, desperate people killing each other for money, what a disgusting and savage capitalistic world we live in, don't need to romanticize it even more. Let's all pass judgment and clutch our pearls at war movies too. Just turn on the news if you want to see those awful images happening in real-time. We don't need any more entertainment glamorizing all the ugliness we already see on a daily basis. Don't forget all serial killer movies too. Hannibal? It's going to taint the image of psychiatrists!!
"It's honestly not that serious imo". Well, apparently it is pretty serious if you feel the need to call out people for shipping what you call "problematic" relationships and shame them for romanticizing such situations. People are allowed to ship whomever they want. This is not 1984. The Big Brother is not watching us.
Did you also have a meltdown watching Beauty and the Beast, saying it was a Stockholm Syndrome romance or any other nonsense in that vein? No, wait, Prince Charming kissing Snow White is abuse, she didn't give her consent!
"If the media normalises this kind of relationship of course some clueless person will see a guy with XL qualities irl & think that is okay way to be treated. I will never be silenced when it comes calling out authors & people who romanticise this." Wonderful, then go knock on Tong Hua's door and give her a piece of your mind, after all, she wrote Xiang Liu to be unforgettable. He is her favorite character and he will remain in readers' minds and hearts for a very, very, very long time. Go take a look at Goodreads and see how many readers from 2014, and 2015, even before that, started as Jingers and changed their minds by the time they finished reading the book. She romanticized him to hell and back and there's no amount of pearl-clutching that will change it. The producers will probably butcher the second season to no end in order to downplay everything Xiang Liu did and everything he fought for, but the novel will never be changed and he will never not be one of the best characters in literature.
"Sometimes our beloved abusive toxic characters are not owed love by the fl just because they started developing feelings for them. Xiao Yao is definitely the smartest fl I've ever read." Oh, if you have already started reading the novel as you say, then brace yourself, because Xiao Yao's love for him is real and it's conflicted and it's beautiful. I guess she'll no longer be the smartest FL you've ever read.
Do you see how I did not mention Jing in my comment not even once? But you fox ladies cannot praise your Good Guy™ without dragging Xiang Liu into it.
"I love tushan Jing. I pray they end up together. I'm tired of fls choosing toxic men over good guys." You could have stopped at "together". Also, can you give me some recommendations? Kdramas, Cdramas, lakorns, whatever you can find, please. The FLs always seem to end up with the good guys, so I'm curious and I'd like a different plot for a change.
"I like that she seems to love him most for now. I only see friendship vibes with her & xiang lu." You could have stopped at "now". And you need glasses. And his name is Xiang Liu, not Xiang Lu.
"Liking ' bad boys' is why most people end up in abusive relationships." I'm sorry to be so blunt, but that's really none of your business, unless you work for the Judiciary branch of your country, or in a police department. And even then, it's not your business to censor what people like or dislike in terms of entertainment.
"I wish I could meet a tushan Jing in my life." Good for you. This would all be so much better if you had just praised your fave without all that unnecessary ship-shaming.
So you Jingers please do everyone a favor and go enjoy your sugary happy ending without throwing shade at other people's ships. Or be ready to face some policing as well.
