You know what, I wrote a long comment about your comment, but I decided that it's not worth getting into a discussion with you. If someone is subjecting someone to psychological analysis just based on whether they like or dislike a fictional character, that's not a conversation partner for me. You've been attacking anyone who doesn't like something about this drama for a long time, so how does that reflect on you? That's why you don't have to reply to me, I'll block your account anyway so I won't read your message. Anyway, study psychology further, maybe in some class they will tell you about the ethics of a psychologist and how obsession manifests itself. maybe then you will look at yourself and come to some conclusions. Good luck!

If it weren't for FL's character, I would find this drama one of the best, but her attitudes are very childish…
I agree. For me, the most important thing in a drama is a character that I can cheer for and want to spend time with him/her. ZY took away all my enjoyment of watching and caused a feeling of so much irritation that even all the other characters combined could not keep me watching this drama. ZY acted like some kind of pseudo-star from Tik-tok.

As TaianD said.
Or write a PM to the person who rejected some of your changes, because some, as you say, were accepted. Ask directly why the whole change was not accepted.
I suspect the character's name is Wang Zhanghai - the last name is Wang and Zhanghai the first name. That's how it is on the web. https://grave-robbers-chronicles.fandom.com/wiki/Wang_Zanghai
We don't know the script, we don't know exactly what the drama will be about, but we do know that ML came out of the Wang family, so cutting off his name is strange. He may not use it later in life, but if at least for a minute in the drama he will function as Wang Zhanghai. there is no reason to change it. Most Chinese names and surnames are three-syllable.

I have tried to remove the related lost tomb shows and change Xiao Zhan's character's name to Zang Hai but it…
To ensure that your changes are consistent with what is actually there, you must provide a link confirming your version, and it must be a link from, for example, the official Weibo site, maybe Douban or another such film site in China. It can't be FB, X and the like. If there is outdated information on some Chinese "official" site, your changes may not go through. When there is conflicting information some moderators will acknowledge the changes, others will not. It may be, for example, that this moderator prefers Douban and another prefers information from another platform, or vice versa. Provide a link and argumentation, maybe, for example, an additional link to an interview where the director clearly says that the drama has nothing to do with the series.

I just hope that, unlike in Nirvana in Fire, here ML will not suffer from a terminal, incurable disease throughout the series. It was so tiresome and annoying. I know many viewers like this kind of tragedy, but I can't stand it when I know from the beginning that ML is going to die.

What is reuters
On Chinese channels with English translation, this is what they call unofficial photos taken secretly by paparazzi. They don't use the name paparazzi, just their own slang. Whether it came from this famous news agency, I don't know. Generally, it's about those types with cameras, who climb trees or scaffolding to take a photo or sneak onto the set, follow a star, drive behind her in a car and just hunt for an opportunity to take a photo that will bring them a fortune.

However much I disapprove of the reuters, I'm glad to have seen the photos. I'm glad that XZ's makeup is so subtle that it looks like he doesn't have any at all. It means that the filmmakers are focusing on the realism of the era and the story not on making the actor look like a pretty doll. This leads me to believe that this title will be a well-made drama.

After watching 2 episodes, it's pretty ok. It took me about half an episode to get used to the new cast. The style is a bit different, more similar to Douluo Dalu than to the first season, but the character of the drama is maintained. HLL gives a good performance as XY. He is not an outstanding actor, but for this type of production and title, he is definitely enough. I think teenage boys will have a great time on this drama and they are the target audience.
P.S. I am evaluating the series as a serial not a screen adaptation. My only reference is season 1

I saw a video when wyb said xiao zhan is photogenic. Before I know him and saw his picture I was like why this…
He, he, he :) For me, XZ has always been a 6.5. The kind of boy next door you fall in love with as a 14 year old. But as on stage or for a role XZ turns into someone unimaginably beautiful. The face is seemingly the same (although the make-up, hairstyle and even greater or lesser thinness do their part) but completely different and originally beautiful every time. So real and full of sincerity. His eyes are like two boundless galaxies filled with the light of millions of stars. When you look at him in a role, he brings out the greatest, deepest light from the heart and soul of the character he is playing and takes on such an incredible glow that it is actually hard to resist. In every role I've seen him in (I haven't seen all of them) I gain faith that there are people with beautiful hearts. Maybe it's better that he doesn't play a villain because people will start loving bad people? ;)

I think this is more than a rumor though🤔 Like the director has already visited XZ on the set of his currently…
I don't know where people get this information. The fact that he was in Hangdian at the same time does not mean anything, because several crews are currently filming in this city, and he could also have come to discuss the details of renting a set, dates, or choosing the most appropriate set for a given scene.

I don't know why he went there. I didn't talk to the director. Those who show these rumors didn't do it either. And people write whatever their imagination brings them to get more publicity and more money for their posts.

There's been no other name for male protagonist except XZ from the beginning and the sets have started building…
Real life fanfics are not part of a healthy fandom. It's the unhealthy fantasies of kids who think they own an actor/actress just because they paid to watch a drama/film. It's a lack of respect for the actor/actress who aren't seen as people just as things the 'fan' can do what they want with.

In my country, if someone mistook an actor for the character they were playing, they were always ridiculed. People need to be able to distinguish between fiction and reality and the vast majority of real life fan fiction fans cannot do that. That's why it's not healthy. When an actor gets married and gets threats because he 'betrayed' the fantasies of 'fans' about his affair with another actor, that's not healthy. When an actor can't give birthday wishes to his fiancée because he dispels the fantasies of 'fans' about their imaginary CP it is not healthy. And with all due respect human dignity is a basic human right enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights ratified by most countries in the world, Fan fiction that turns real people into porn stars involving minors is not innocent fun, it is not paying respect to likeable actors, it is a sick fantasy that harms the basic dignity of the person being described. And no one will convince me that the author's freedom of expression is more important than human dignity, because spreading illegal pornography involving minors is not freedom of expression but a criminal act. You want to write fan fiction about a beloved actor/actress, write that he or she is coming to shoot a film in your town or visiting school friends and you accidentally bump into him or her. Don't make him a porn star.

I know that the younger generation in their twenties no longer understands what basic human rights are, that freedom of speech should never violate someone's dignity and was created so that journalists could expose the crimes of politicians. I know that the new generation thinks they have the right to say even the biggest insults and they go ballistic when someone says one word of criticism against them. I know that selfishness and egocentrism are now a core value for young people but for God's sake, this is sick. If someone demands respect for themselves, let them show similar respect to others. If you don't want to be the star of a pornographic story, don't make a real existing human being one. If you must write erotic fantasies full of violence, queer and underage, at least make up original names for your characters and don't prey on real people.

A true fan will never do something offensive to a person he likes and admires. If he writes disgusting texts damaging to the idol, he is not a fan and is excluded from the community. Simple. So fans can be controlled. You can't control people who are delusional and disrespectful to the artist, but they are not fans. They only think of themselves that way in their delusions.

Is there any chance this will show in international cinemas? Not really familiar with the movie circle in china…
Yes, it is.
About 20-30 years ago some Chinese films were very popular in the West, then this stopped and China showed films mainly in Asia. In most Asian countries this film will be available without difficulty. It will also be in at least a few cinemas in the States and Canada, as many Chinese new films are shown there. This production may aim higher and try to enter a wider market. They may want to try to re-establish themselves in the Western film market.

My 5 years of playing with c-ent tells me otherwise. The prettier an actress pretends to be, the more stupid, superficial and toxic fans she has, because only such fans can worship someone not for talent but for beauty.
By the way, there is capital behind every pretty actress in c-ent, otherwise she would not get any significant role. Pretty faces without talent are simply too many in China. If a pretty face is not supported by talent, she must be supported by something else ;)
Sorry if I offended an actress whose face you are a fan of.
