Title The Wolf
Today is a sort of Chinese Valentine day, 520 day which in chinese idioms can be read as "I love you", so it is…
I have already mentioned that the agency for which XZ works and produced "The Wolf" has a multi-million bet against Tencent. Bet covers three years and the agency must earn the amount specified in the bet during this time, otherwise it goes under Tencent's management. In 2018 the agency lost shamefully, in 2019 thanks to the success of XZ lost less shamefully and thanks to three dramas from XZ, including "The Wolf", in 2020 she hoped to win. I don't know exactly what the bet conditions are, what freedom the production of "The Wolf" has, but the agency is desperate for money, so it can sell its drams left and right to earn more.
If what Alice Wang says about CCTV is true, if government television has actually turned up, they are now dealing the cards, because no corporation will dare to object.
I just want to note that:
1 No one has ever given a specific release date, so there is no question of postponing. Never, but it was never an official date.
2 Placing "The Wolf" behind "The Oath of Love" means absolutely nothing. This is not the order of the future broadcast of the series.
3 I still think that the drama will appear unannounced.
I don't know why you panic? You inflate your expectations yourself (groundlessly) and then you are disappointed. You rely on rumors from Weibo and marketing tricks on various platforms.
I don't know if I understand the idea of VIP correctly, but if "The Wolf" will be available at the same time on public television, what is the point for people to pay for it on the internet?
If CCTV is true, "The wolf" is a great honor, so even if you have to wait a few days longer, be patient and stop panicking. What are you 13 years old?

I heard an interesting theory today. It does not concern "The Wolf" literally, but the industry itself and I think it can be used here. Many dramas have huge promotion because it is supposed to attract the interest of viewers and advertisers. If the drama has a very small promotion and is awaited by the viewers (and we know that "The Wolf" is), it can be safely assumed that it already has a set of advertisers and expenditure on its promotion is unnecessary. That is why I think that no one should worry about the lack of explicit promotion.
Let us patiently wait for good news. They will definitely come.

I wonder what Alice will say? In my opinion the situation is stable and getting better. The new work of XZ shows up without any notice and still breaks sales and audience records. His live broadcast of supportive action Hubei almost caused the crash of servers. Everything is carried out with a low profile so as not to provoke madmen, but 227 (in my opinion) does not affect the delay of television broadcasting. If, as Alice Wang says, CCTV wants to broadcast the premiere episode of "The Wolf" first, this is great news for the creators of drama. It is worth waiting for such an opportunity even for years. Television broadcast in CCTV is a huge honor for the production.
Public opinion strongly supports XZ. Same with public media. Haters have recently become very discredited and "China Daily" has used the XZ's song in their spot. The situation is moving slowly but steadily forward.
I know that it's hard for fans to wait for the premiere, I'm dying for impatience myself, but I will last a few days.

Wow, WYB got almost 50% more than XZ although he had a lot less work to do! And someone recently insisted that…
I agree with most of what you said except "that its like a shortcut honestly". First of all, I don't know what the competition was for this role, but the best candidate got it, which confirmed the success of the actor and drama. Secondly, the role was almost impossible to play well, but the dedication of XZ made WWX a brilliant character for many (as demonstrated by the success of the actor and drama). Thirdly - it could be a shortcut if an easy role was given to him by his dad being a director and made his son famous through connections and funds. Here we have visible hard work, which resulted in success.
I've seen thousands of hours of c-dram. Thousands. I saw some good actors. I saw only one XZ.
It is not easy to impress me. I only have a few actors I really like. The characters played by XZ are as real as if they were about to leave the screen and pass me by. I saw him in production from 2016, 2017 and 2018. His progress is huge. This is not a shortcut, it is a butt work that has been noticed by the film community and fans. XZ received roles in "Jade Dynasty" and "Douluo Dalu" (both main) before the premiere of "The Untamed". This is not a shortcut. This is an amazing pace of development that is not seen on a daily basis.

I think I'm a masochist. I watch some of the drama to the end, hoping that at some point it will make some sense and eventually I will see something interesting. It was one such drama.
My hopes were in vain

Wow, WYB got almost 50% more than XZ although he had a lot less work to do! And someone recently insisted that…
I am not saying that they have received unfair payment, but it saddens me how capitalist this business is. XZ got the role immediately and the production knew that he had a lot more to play, he was also the first name on the list of playing actors (and this indicates importance in the hierarchy), but WYB had an agency that did not put logs under his feet. Objectively looking at the amount of work and airtime XZ should get a few pennies more than his colleague, but because no one cares what he does with himself, it came out, how it came out.
Actually, I have no idea if 5 million is a lot or not. We are not talking about USD or Euro. I only know that the boy got relatively little, and he did just great. I know that some stars can take a huge part of the budget, and they play like a log of wood. No wonder XZ disturbs everyone so much.
It is sad.

I'm here again! Tencent has published Li Qin's pictures on their weibo. Why is this indicative to the broadcast?…
Wow, WYB got almost 50% more than XZ although he had a lot less work to do! And someone recently insisted that the actor playing the main role should get the most :) Sure, LWJ was the main role, but let's face it, it was a drama focused on WWX.
I'm afraid to know how much XZ got for "The Wolf", because if I see 3 million, I'll be sad :(

After seeing how Beautiful Reborn flower was pushed back for 2 - 3 years, and finally got released to bad reviews,…
There are various reasons why drama cannot be broadcast right away. Some require a lot of post-production, others have a problem with censorship. Some, however, want to earn as much as possible and drag on negotiations.
When it comes to "The Wolf", I'm sure many people will be disappointed for various reasons. Some people recognize that special effects are outdated. Others say they expected a more interesting story. The longer you wait, the higher your expectations ... and the greater disappointment. I approach the drama from a distance now. I know that I will not like some of its elements, but I hope that a few others will make up for these shortcomings. There is no perfect drama, and I am ready to turn a blind eye to imperfections of "The Wolf" and have fun watching it :)

I am sorry but I have read this article and this is not a reliable source. This is not an official article but…
It is actually a typical article by a hater that suggests that XZ will pull "The Wolf" down. There is no substantive value in it, only the anti XZ campaign.

Although 520 makes sense :)
But this is still just speculation

Probably only an ecological disaster or war can stop "The Wolf" from broadcasting this year. At 99.7% this May. I can enumerate dozens of erguments for the fact that it will be soon, although recently I heard that next week.
My favorite argument that this year will be a bet between two corporations. A big money bet. "The Wolf" must earn a lot of money for his company, otherwise the company will have even more trouble. Deadline is December 2020, so "The Wolf" must have time to make money.
And I will stick to it :)

i'm scared post production editing might ruin this drama since there is a 40 ep limit now on chinese dramas
The Wolf has confirmed 51 episodes. The restriction will probably apply to new dramas, not those that were already shot. I'm a little surprised that the idol drama is supposed to appear on standard television, but apparently there are different types of idols :)

On Legend of Awakening May 12, 2020
I don't understand why people value this drama so highly? No offense, but the photos are not the best, the story is rather banal, the costumes, set design and acting don't knock down and I don't even remember the music. Maybe I just saw too many dramas and the "Legend of Avakening" is simply average?
I like Feiyu, but in the first episodes his character is too much like Ning Que and in the next episodes he loses any color. The first few episodes were even fun, but now (episode 28) I don't remember, when the last time I laughed or even smiled.
My guess is that Lu Ping's tragedy can be appealing, but when a character loses dynamics, can it rely solely on the compassion of the viewer?
For me, the drama is ok, although I seriously wonder whether to give it up. Why she is so liked by viewers remains a mystery to me. I won't mind if someone wants to convince me that there is something really cool about this drama, only I can't see it. Maybe someone will open my eyes.

Soooo, strange things happening on Tencent website LOL!!! :DI've caught this change for exactly 10 minutes, right…
I totally agree. I was not to speculate, but something tells me that ... 14th :)
I agree that they will release "The Wolf" without notice. They have already done so with various dramas and let's face it, in the current situation it will be the best move. Heaven, earth and my entrails tell me that we will not get an official date, and even if it appears I will believe in it for 50%. I am sure that one sunny day I will start MDL and see the post by Alice Wang: "It's already !!!!!" and then a few links where it is exactly :)
They'll do such a surprise to us :)

I love this program just like that. I watched every episode before the subtitles appeared and although I hardly understand Chinese at all, I had a great time :) I won't hide that I started watching this program for Xiao Zhan, but already in the first episode I watched, it turned out that other participants are great. The program is attended by really wonderful, laughing people who are full of mutual respect and friendship. For this I really appreciate the music in "Our Song". It is very difficult to sing duets with someone new, and in this program they sounded just wonderful.
For me, Xiao Zhan was the biggest ornament of this program, but not the only one. XZ microexpressions are simply priceless, but all participants impressed me. "Our Song" replays or selected songs I watch to this day. It's really worth watching "Our Song".

We have a little misunderstanding here. I don't think there is anything wrong with the words "i dont like this girl at all". People should understand that remembering names from a foreign language can be difficult, after all we come from different countries and many have similar problems. I didn't mean that statement. I meant "trush drama". It was a bit too strong a word. If you used "I don't like", "it wasn't for me", "I was bored" it would be ok. After all, there is no drama that absolutely everyone would like.
I just wonder, if you choose drama based on the handsomeness of the leading actors, have you seen The Untamed?

Yes I know. I don't know if the information about this 3 seasons contract is true, but it seems that in order to avoid the actors withdrawing from the following seasons in "JoL" they did it a bit experimentally because they want to tell the whole story from beginning to end without changing cast Nobody expected Xz to explode so much and a problem would happen :) The rest of the cast was rather safe because they had a stable position on the market. A very credible source reported that "JoL" has much more material shot than they showed in s1, because from the beginning they wanted to do about 120 episodes, but there were some regulations regarding the number of episodes in the season instead of 2 long sets they divided into 3 shorter ones. In fact, looking at how quickly the promotion and works on the 2nd season started and that almost all the cast was confirmed, it is very possible that everyone has signed contracts for the whole. Let's not kid ourselves, most of the young actors in "JoL" are good actors, but with a stable, peaceful career and only ZRY is in the first "hot" ten. "JoL" was expected to be a hit, so with such a big competition signing a 3 seasons contract is a treat.
Someone once made public how much XZ got for the main role in The Untamed. It was just funny money. Popular actors get more for guest roles than he for the main role in the drama of 50 episodes. The actor playing the emperor in "JoL" is in the first place the most popular stars outside the continent and he also had to get a lot. He even had the status of the main role, although in season 1 he probably had less airtime than the XF midfielder (I forgot what he was called). I bet LiQin got less than this famous old actor.
Sometimes a star for saying one sentence takes a salary equal to the main character, but the film can be proud that this star played in it and attracted viewers.
Well, we'll see how it comes out, roughly next year :)
