episode 10 really killed it for me. I gotta take a break or Iām about to throw something sharp at the screen. MLās character assassination was no jokeātriggering my Full House ML trauma lol
Barcode is 19 now and is capable of making his own decisions. Jeff was the one who offered Wuju script to Barcode…
My original comment mentioned nothing except for very mild concern, the reason I feel compelled to state exactly why Iām concerned is because people keep telling me I shouldnāt be concerned at all. You guys are allowed to have your opinions, but i have mine when it comes to young people being paired up with significantly older people. I already said I have no idea what their lives are in real life, but I also am well aware that doing research or anything on it is pointless. People show what they want to show and unless we are them, weāll never know their true situations in life. Thus, no matter who it is, if I see factors like this I will be concerned. Itās not about moving on, itās just knowing what worries me and what doesnāt. You guys can defend it all you want, it doesnāt prove either one of us right or wrong.

Not everyone has to have the same opinion. What you just said skeezes me out more than I was before tbh. You should absolutely feel an age gap between a 19 year old an 29 year old, if you donāt, itās because youāre disregarding the differences. I donāt know much about the two in real life, but again, I just hope for barcode to be in a safe environment while in his young adult life. Yes heās a legal adult, but everyone knows at that age your brain still isnāt developed like someone in their late 20s+ so itās only natural to be more immature and influenced by your surroundings (hence why grooming is seen regularly with young adult women and older men and fairly often in LGBTQ+ relationships as well). I donāt know his experiences or anything so Iām not going to presume to know anything, but typically people who are more mature and fit in with older people normally have some trauma on their hands that forced them to be that mature in the first place (and vice versa with older people fitting in with younger people), hopefully that isnāt the case with either of them because that would make the chances of being in an unhealthy environment again even higher.
I donāt claim to know anything about them irl, but Iām allowed to feel worried for young people (especially possible fellow LGBTQ+ people, since weāre often made into targets due to the trauma factors that many community members face etc). You donāt have to agree, but this will still be my conflicted opinion on the matter. And as for the term ābabyā, I apologize for sounding like Iām infantilizing himāI only meant it as a term of endearment but I could see why it bothers him if he is trying to prove heās mature like Jeff or those who are older around him.
Omg are the theories coming true!!!??? The description confirms all the theories about him also being able to time travel (or whatever)!???!! Yo, Iām so excited. Iām really hoping for a good ending for the two. Gosh they are SO cute.
My fellow enjoyer of KimChay, this is the perfect time to give you and everyone a friendly reminder that the actors…
Yeah, I get that. I think thatās why Iām not as weirded out as I would beāsince itās not ārealā. It just concerns me due to how young Barcode is. If he was in his twenties, I wouldnāt mind as much. Just donāt enjoy the idea of someone still young enough to be groomed, being stuck with someone who is almost in their thirties. It can blur lines of consent, yāknow? But since itās not real, thatās why I can enjoy them (they look so good together lol and have great chemistry). I just want Barcode (and all young actors really) to be safe in his career. Acting is already such a tough field with a lot of blurred lines already.
First - they're professional actors - actors working - who have already worked together and established a powerfully…
Thatās great for you. Iām not looking for an argument, I just have an issue with the age. No need to jump down anyoneās throat protecting people who donāt know you on a comment that isnāt even attacking them in the beginning. Chill, all is good.
KimChay! As much as Iām obsessed with them, why are they paired together again? Barcode is a baby compared to Jeff. I feel conflicted (but I love them so much at the same time omg)
I honestly loved Kim and Chay lmao. Itās such an unpopular opinion and I also didnāt read the novel to have a leg to stand on, but I really enjoyed how the feelings were (imo) mutual yet Kim was scared (and who can blame him? The relationships in his life are all so toxic and never lasting or fake to begin with). I also believe from how he chooses to keep Chay oblivious, he doesnāt WANT to put more ties on him to the big bad (and being with him would put him in more danger). But itās like even with all that, he fails to hold his ground on his decision to stay awayābut still does his best to stay in the shadows. Essentially not showing Chay his feelings are real, but doing what he can to keep him physically safe.
And Chay, as well, goes from having an idol crush to something more real with both sweetness and paināwhich I appreciated because putting someone on a pedestal makes it really freaking hard to take them off of it. He gets angry and hurt and he takes it out on Kim rightfully (blocking him, fighting for his autonomy, and the like) rather than sinking into self deprecation and begging for Kim to take him back (even if he clearly wants to beg, the poor baby). Yes, he still clearly changes due to the hurt and confusion heās facing, but even with those changes and arguably unwise choices he makes, he still stays this innocent kid with a really big heart. Besides, we could see him struggling with these things before he met KimāKim was just the last shove that pushed him off the edge.
My favourite scene out of everything in this drama was the one where Chay is obliviously playing video games and Kim is in the background protecting him with all that he has. I think itās the perfect imagery to fit what Kim wanted to be for Chayāhis protection from the big bad without Chay knowing. Almost like a shield for his innocence.
I get why they made Kim reach out at the end (the build up of emotions and whatnot) but I also believe it came out of nowhere (like going from wanting to remain anonymous to actively pursuing him). I think if they had (or ever have) a season two, I would have liked to see more about WHY this change was implemented. Does he respect Chayās autonomy to choose for himself? Is it because Chay is now in a better position in the big bad? Or simply because Chay is now the one giving him the cold shoulder? Idk but I think for it to fit with what we saw already, it has to be a substantial reason.
While far from a normal healthy relationship, i do think it holds real potential to be way less toxic than the others we get. This relationship, at least, has boundaries on both sides. As well as if they come together, I think trust would be essential to the relationship (seeing how Chay consistently letās go of what he doesnāt trust or feels is right [even his brother weāre shown when he makes the ultimatum] and holds firm on that stance).
but maybe Iām totally way off and just bias due to how freaking adorable Chay was. Such a cute baby!
not me being butthurt over The Untamed being on this list while I shamelessly vote for other dramas š Seriously though, although long as heckkk compared to K dramas, The Untamed is a straight masterpiece if you watch it to the end. Seriously canāt be hyped enough, I donāt even understand it myself but wow that story was powerful when itās finally all revealed.
Fell so hard for his character in KTL, checked him out and realized I had already fallen for him before in Just Between Lovers lol! I had started watching Good Manager coincidentally and once again fell for him. So at this point I think Iām just absolutely smitten with him himself. Or more accurately, obsessed. He is so cute, handsome, and versatile as an actor! And heās an idol?! Be still my beating heart! Seriously, Iām obsessed with this man.
Iām a bit frustrated with this, I 100000% loved Team and Winās relationship more than the original, but the way they tried to mesh the two stories together while adding even more couples, made a lot of the drama less enjoyable than the original. So i have to give the original a higher score despite how much I love love love win and teamās chemistry and everything (and the lack of crying lmao). The production of the original was just not as messy even if the flow wasnāt the best eitherāa lot of interactions between the cast members in this one felt so awkward for no good reason because of them trying to force the separate stories into one. Ah⦠oh well, the story of Win and Team is definitely worth the frustration of this.
Man, this could have been a really good movie. I understand time restrictions, but it would have been so good if they had fleshed out their characters more and gave us something that felt more than skin deep. Itās like a superficial wound compared to the deep cut it could have been. Regardless, the actors did great with what they were given. Maybw im too used to drama series⦠movies feel too rushed for me.
say what you want about it, but can we all get on board with the fact that itās hilarious? Iām the sickest Iāve been in awhile, and this show has me in stitches despite the pain Iām currently in. They are all so ridiculous, itās more like a satire or parody than something you take seriously. I love it and think itās doing a great job showcasing the silliness of common tropes and the like, all while still keeping you invested in the show like a non-satire drama. I feel like thatās probably a really hard line to balance, but so far (im on ep 9) theyāve been doing excellent with it!
this drama is very simple. And i donāt mean that in a bad way. Itās a feel good, on the nose, super simple drama with very in your face relationships that donāt go deeper than what you can see. Personally, i loved it. Normally i love diving in deep to characters and what makes them tick and all the complex ways they interact with one another and come to develop as individuals, but this one I honestly appreciated how clean and simple it was. I didnāt have to think and stress or try to figure out what people were thinking. I didnāt have to get frustrated about how the relationship wasnāt as developed as it should be either, because the characters themselves never really developed past āoh I like him nowā hahaha again, these are all GOOD things in my eyes.
I laughed, i squealed, and I was like Charles Boyle in B99 yelling āTine! Go to him! Wat! GO to him!ā and it was so enjoyable. And i also enjoyed how instead of a lot of drama, it gave us a bunch of pairings in the cast. The writers were like āthe more the merrier!ā when it came to couples lol Heck, i even find myself totally okay with the lack of kissingātheir cute interactions were good enough to satisfy skinship lol
Donāt go in expecting something complex and over the top dramatic. Itās as if this drama was created just so that you can coo and awe your way through it.
basically the only negative thing I can say about this is that THERE WASNāT ENOUGH INHALING OF THE FACE. Seriously they skimmed on the kisses and Iām a bit upset about it. From the way ML was inhaling his scent at every chance he got, I was expecting ML to inhale him right up eventually lmao! Sups disappointed this was not the case. Still a great drama, but dangnabbit.

If anyone knows dramas with the same FL and ML dynamic in this, please drop the title! I would be so thankful :)
I am so sad
Reminds me A BIT of Mad For Each Other
