This was visually stunning but it wasn't my favorite. I didn't really feel any chemistry between Wu Shi Guang and Wan Yan. I think because of this I couldn't really connect with them and their romance. I found myself bored in their scenes and wanting to fast forward. The greater romance to me was between Ji Ling and Wu Yi. They had great chemistry and I really felt their longing for each other. Another aspect that I really enjoyed was Li Jie's origin story. The whole show, he doesn't know who he is and neither does the viewer.

Finding out that he was one half an obsession formed from Yuan Xi Zai's regrets made so much sense. Li Jie's bromance with Ji Ling was super strong and believable throughout the show. I can't say the same about the relationship between Wu Shi Guang and You Chi. I really loved You Chi's character and while I felt his devotion to Wu Shi Guang, it didn't really seem reciprocated. At that ending battle, when literally everyone comes back to help him, he doesn't look for You Chi at all. One could argue that he figured You Chi had ran and hid somewhere but it just seemed so odd to me. Like he knew You Chi went to go fight one of the possessed moon warriors and seemingly gives no thoughts to him not arriving with the rest of the group. I was also annoyed that Wan Yan was the one that saw You Chi off and not his best friend.

The ending felt a bit rushed. I would have liked if they gave us some sort of catch up so that we could understand everyone's place and standing in this new world now that they erased Wu Yi from the timeline. You Chi's personality has completely changed and what is Li Jie's role now if he's not the commander? They could have done like some quick flashes of Wu Shi Guang getting his new memories.

I agree about the stakes. It was becoming quite clear that none of the kids were going to die but it made no sense to let Bang-wool live. That was a death injury and would have added some needed intensity to the show. I do disagree about Hye-ryung and Si-won. I thought their friendship was portrayed really well and they had a deeper connection to me than the main group. The way there friendship ended I could also understand. Hye Ryung clearly had no friends besides Si-won who was acutely aware of that and seemed to use that to keep her in line. Si-won also was deeply bitter and resentful of Hye Rung's continued interest in Shamanism and saw Hye Rung interacting with her Mom at any level as a direct betrayal to her. She talked about being bullied for having a Mom as a Shaman and had internalized a lot of hate. Si won seemingly also had the abilities of a Shaman and were unleashing them somewhat unknowingly. I think she was the one who caused Hye Rung's eye infection. Si Won's mom said it was a curse and that was why she was able to heal it. If you remember she was also about to be punished by the powers that be for creating the app and her Mom was able to hold it back.

Nari is dead but she was possessed by Siwon before she died which is why she had access to the realm. Nari was in that realm because she wanted to be. She did not want Se-A to live and be happy if she couldn't. She was also bizarrely upset that they were willing to kill her to save Se-A even though she had attacked all of her friends and was actively trying to kill Se-A. Nari is such an unlikeable character and super selfish. She disliked all her childhood friends who were kind to her for no reason and as in a competition with Se-A all by herself. She was extremely selfish. I'm hoping that ending credit is not to signify that Nari will be the next evil spirit possessing the app. Also to answer your second question - yes, humiliating Hye Ryeong was the wish she wanted in exchange for getting credit for the app. Siwon was also a pretty awful person.

So that wish was before the actual curse kicked in, when it still was just a prank. Hye Ryeong turned it into a curse with power after she did the ritual with the Deolmi and killed herself. Regarding Siwon, I can only assume she had some of her Mom's shaman powers but was unaware of it. If you remember, there was a scene where she was about to be punished for using her powers for evil but the Mom was able to hold back the punishment. She may have also been the one responsible for Hye Ryeong's eye infection but unintentionally. Siwon was deeply bitter and resentful so she may have been unleashing her power without meaning to. The Mom also told Hye Ryeong that the eye infection was actually a a curse which made sense why she was able to get rid of it using shamanistic means.

I agree. I haven't read the books so I don't find Miss Mo annoying at all. She understands that he won't choose her and has chosen cultivation but she's still sad about it. From how the show has presented things, it felt like he had some romantic feelings for her but cultivation is number one for him and he recognizes that they can't be together. The show has made it clear that he is supposed to end up with Nangong Wan at some point but they just have no chemistry. I feel nothing when they are on screen together which they admittedly haven't been often.

I don't think they showed the tree before but it was talked about in the story she told about her and her mother watching the Cherry Blossoms at the Cherry Blossom tree. They made a comment about how the weather is always really snowy so I think we are supposed to use context clues to figure out this is where she watched the cherry blossoms before. They were in the cave where the cherry blossom tree was. He woke up from the coma the next spring, in time to see the cherry blossom like they had previously talked about. They didn't die.

I actually had a different take. The senior grim reaper only guessed that the Grim Reaper who saved is daughter disappeared because she never saw him again. It's implied that everyone who became grim reapers did so because they had unfinished business. It may just be that he officially moved on because he had no unfinished business left. I think it may be the same for Ram Woo. By saving Hee won and tying up his loose ends with his Mom and Hong Seok, he had no unfinished business left and was able to move on to the Netherworld.

I really enjoyed it. I'm hoping Ram Woo didn't actually disappear or breaking the rules. I'm hoping that he just moved on because by saving her he would have settled his unfinished business. Everyone just assumed the guy who reunited with his daughter disappeared because he broke the rules but maybe he no longer had a reason to be a grim reaper since he saved his daughter.

I agree. She was a great mom to Naoki and a terrible Mom to Kei. She was still holding a grudge on an innocent mistake she made years ago and was cruel to her daughter. Not once in the whole show did she apologize to her daughter for how she treated her abd actually smacking her. The Dad was just as bad becuase he did nothing to stop the mother. A blight on an otherwise great show.

Maybe I missed it, but did they ever explain why the sister just walked out on her family the first time? When she let Hiroto by the banks and rode off on the bike?

No you weren't trying to analyze the show. You literally told ME how I felt about it. When did I say I didn't like the show? If you take my comment at face value instead of assuming and conjecturing what you believe I feel, you will see that I clearly said it was ok. It's ok to guess what the writers intentions are but its not ok to tell someone why they did or didn't like something. No where did I say I hate it. The second half was more interesting to YOU. Which is ok because it is your opinion which I also respect. Going forward, I hope you have actual discussions with commenters and try to see why they feel a certain way about a show or aspect of a show instead of stating your opinion about their feelings as fact.

Very bold of you to tell me what I liked and didn't like about the second half of this drama. Just like you have your opinion, I have my opinion. This show got weaker to me in a number of ways. I answered the question of the user and suggested that they give the show a chance so that they can develop their own opinion. Not everyone has to love a show.

To me, it was just an ok drama and I did find the second half weaker than the first half. You should watch the first two episodes and see what you think.

Completely agree with you. I just finished it and I also thought it was just ok. It had a really interesting concept and I'm a huge fan of horror and horror romance but this just didn't do it for me. I didn't feel the chemistry from the leads, Satan turned out to be not that scary and overall I felt the writing was meh. I think the actors did a good job though. When people dislike or are not in love with a drama on MDL, there is always one person who swears that everyone loved it. In reality, there will be people who loved it, hated it or thought it was just ok. Thank you for sharing your opinion. :)

To me it definitely dropped the ball but I wasn't exactly a fan from ep 1. I would say watch it and see how you feel.

This is definitely way different then a murder and I don't think she should be compared to a killer. She was planning on telling him about getting a divorce the night he died. Again she couldn't easily tell him that she felt alone becuase he was never home to do so and she didnt want him to feel bad about doing his duty. No one is saying it was moral to cheat. All I'm saying is that I sympathize with her reason behind it. Everything is not black and white. We are not going to see eye to eye on this issue so lets agree to disagree.

I'm not justifying the affair but explaining why I sympathize with her. Yes she definitely should have spoken to him but she barely saw him enough to have that conversation. Yes he loved her and showed her affection but she definitely loved him and showed him affection as well. She sent him text messages that he didnt respond to and cooked him dinners that he didn't eat. She understood he was a cop and thats why she let him be an absentee husband and wrongly didnt bring up her concerns to him. He made it very clear to her that his job was number one so I'm not sure why you believe that he would have quit beinga cop or why you think she should have known that he would quit being a cop for her. The truth of the matter is his ghostly presence is a burden for her and its stopping her from moving on with her life as a living person. He seemed to realize that after he heard her conversation with her mother. There are many reasons why people have emotional or physical affairs and yes loneliness can be a reason. While normally I would be the first one to write off a cheater, I think the show did a good job showing that this affair didn't start from malice but from heartache. We are going to have to agree to disagree on this matter.

Lol I am hoping that hearing his wife's conversation with her mother has opened up his eyes enough that he will stop visiting her. He is having a negative effect on her life which wasn't his intention. Ohhh i will check out Blood Free.
