I actually had the time to observe it more carefully, and even the hairstyles make a difference. The female lead is given a more aging hairstyle, while the others have things like braids or generally more flattering styles. I know her outfit is traditional, etc., but in the moment, it doesn’t really help the overall perception.
And in general, people can be the same age but still look very different. One can appear younger, another older. It’s just an observation. There are people in their 20s who can look 30 or 40, and others who look much younger.
Attacking her appearance, then saying you’ll still continue watching it, is so hypocritical. You even admitted…
I’m simply pointing out the mismatch between her age and the character, that’s just an observation.
And calling it hypocritical to keep watching? Sorry, but wanting to give a show a fair chance before forming a more informed opinion isn’t hypocrisy, it’s just a normal and reasonable approach. Honestly, that reaction feels a bit strange to me.
I’m familiar with the actress and have seen her in many roles, and I feel like in this one her talent is being underused and doesn’t come through as strongly. That’s why I’m saying an actor isn’t necessarily suited for every type of role. Also, last time I checked, you can appreciate an actor without loving every single performance, that’s kind of the point. An actor can either stay within a similar type of role or explore different ones, and that’s exactly where you see the range and depth of their craft.
I’m not criticizing her appearance, I’m commenting on the casting choice for this specific role. It’s purely an observation based on the character, and I would have said the same thing regardless of who was cast. And yes, I’ll keep watching because I want to see how it develops before forming a final opinion.
My perspective is valid, and if you don’t agree, that’s fine, but that’s not my problem. You’re the one attacking me and acting like I’m being hostile, when in reality I actually like the actress. Right now, your response comes off as immature. People should be able to accept that others can have different opinions, especially when I haven’t shown any hate or hostility.
Also, stop getting offended for no reason or reacting as if I insulted someone you personally love, it’s honestly exhausting. You need to manage your sensitivity a bit better. We’re not in elementary school here.

Even if she’s 30, she honestly looks closer to 40… unfortunately, it’s quite distracting, but I’ll try to overlook it. It’s still a bit strange that she’s 30 while most of Shin Seo Ri’s colleagues look younger.
For now, I feel pretty neutral because I’m not really sure what to think yet. I like the actors, but I find that the actress looks way too old for the role; she easily looks around 40, while she’s supposed to portray a 20-year-old. The age gap is quite noticeable, and you can clearly feel that she’s older than the male lead.
That said, their chemistry is definitely there, I’m not denying it, but the age mismatch just doesn’t sit right with me. Also, the acting feels a bit forced at times.
I also feel like she’s not the right fit for this role, not because she’s a bad actress, quite the opposite, she’s very talented. But the overall atmosphere, styling, and outfits actually make her look older and accentuate her age instead of flattering her. It doesn’t showcase her well at all. I hope we’ll see her with her hair down and in more modern outfits, because right now it doesn’t work for me at all. She gives off more of a motherly or much older vibe 😭. I think she would shine much more in other types of projects. Sometimes, an actor just isn’t suited for every role, and seeing her in this kind of character feels a bit out of place.
Considering Shin Seo Ri’s character is also supposed to be in her twenties i guess, and in transmigration stories, characters usually inhabit someone of a similar age to their original self, this makes it feel a bit inconsistent.
Still, it all depends on how the story develops; it could quickly become repetitive. But I’m willing to give it a chance and see where it goes.
This drama truly deserves a rating of at least 8.7. Personally, I’d give it a 9.2 but come on everyone, let’s push its score up, it really deserves it!
As of now I'm rating it : Script: 8.3 | Execution: 9.4 | Acting: 9.5 | Pacing: 10 | Enjoyment: 10
Overall: 9.2 / 10 ♡
Instead of relying on instinct to rate each criterion, I use a structured breakdown of specific sub-criteria for each category. For the script, I evaluate structure, character development, consistency, dialogue, originality, and how subplots are handled. In this case, for example, one of the weaknesses comes from a subplot involving Eric the love triangle and his relationship with his sister. It feels more like a writing issue than an execution one; it’s not well integrated and could honestly have been removed without harming the main story.
Acting focuses on individual performances, emotional delivery, chemistry between actors, and overall consistency.
Execution looks at direction, cinematography, editing, production design, and OST.This approach helps ensure that the final score is not just based on a gut feeling, but reflects a more structured and realistic analysis of each aspect of the drama.
Ep 6 really touched me. The only part that made me sad was when Mechuri walked her home, and then the next morning she yelled at him… poor guy. I really wish she had apologized to him.
You can clearly see how deeply he cares about her he even went as far as rearranging his house to keep her safe during her sleepwalking episodes. That scene actually reminded me of the C-drama The First Frost. And the fact that she noticed it is already a good sign.
What’s also nice is the positive influence he has on her. With Yejin, words alone aren’t enough to make her realize things; she needs actions to truly understand and he does that perfectly.
This drama feels so comforting to me I enjoy every second of it, not a single boring moment. I honestly don’t get what people mean when they say it’s “losing its spark.” To me, it just feels like real life.
Maybe some of you just aren’t watching it with the right mindset… because honestly, when you come home after a long, exhausting day at work, this drama feels like a breath of fresh air.
And that ending… I seriously can’t wait to see what happens next 😭
You are so right about the ML and how caring and thoughtful he is. Do we think he didn't give her his phone number…
That moment when he quietly sat next to her, just watching over her from a distance without bothering her it says so much. That’s honestly one of my favorite scenes, along with the one where they eat together and when he takes her to see the view. And yet some people still say nothing’s happening or that there’s no connection… I really don’t get it.
This is what I love, too, he is so respectful towards her, and genuinely cares for her well being. His feelings…
Yeah exactly, honestly I feel like their relationship is portrayed so well it just warms my heart. There are so many little details that make it feel real and special.
omg There’s already so much to say about this new episode. I absolutely love the chemistry between the two leads…
As for the ending, I had a feeling she was gonna cancel the show… I feel so bad for her, especially after all the effort she put in. Can’t wait to see what happens next.
