I am currently in the first 6 minutes of the last hour of the series, the scene between Nokdu and the Queen but had to stop. I love this series that feeling some ominous signs for a character makes me want to read some spoilers first. So here I am, reading become resuming!
Oh my, I didn't expect this to be such a beautiful series! Nostalgic, emotion-filled, making life choices. I wanna return to the countryside after watching this! And the characters are so natural that you will take them as your friends and neighbors.
I love this series because the characters are adorable and the plot is cute. I just don't like that "I like you, and if you like me too, lets keep this a secret" attitude of Xia Miao Miao. She has the guts to profess but she can't fully live up to that courage. Well. I understand it is part of the plot, but for me, it is a selfish attitude.
On the other hand He Xin is irksome at first, but she has that strength of character especially when she refused Kai Tuo later. Any,way, overall, this is a nice series, far better than another Chinese university drama which recently finished. And there are no overly annoying characters which tend to ruin some series. And that chubby Xia is so cute and she acts so naturally well.
Hmmm, just an ok series, about life of OJTs in the hospitality industry, the first episode is told so straightforward in introducing the characters, no thanks to the editing, it's like introducing students in a class, the pace didn't pick up. Now the 2nd episode, 3 students are left in a room to clean in 20 minutes because guests are coming in. Shouldn't there be training first before they will be left behind like that because they simply don't know what to do. I hope others can enjoy this series, I will have to drop this.
Very nice episode 6. Just when I thought how their story will move forward when they were caught by the parents, since Hao Ting is initiating everything before, here comes Xi Gu taking the initiative to fight for their feelings. The character growth is nice. I guess they will still hurdle obstacles since we're just halfway thru, but the acting is great esp that scene between Hao Ting and his sister, so intense and the natural but the emotions are flowing deep! The other couple's story is also great to follow.
A plot twist somewhere at the end is expected for more suspense but the Queen Dowager just popped up in ep 30, I don't know if she was introduced before. And with only one hour left and many things remain unresolved, savoring the happy ending for many characters (hoping) is lessened. From that ending scene of ep 30, is the King that stupid (well he's crazy for power to begin with) to not probe that revolt thing and not just believe what the Queen Dowager and Yool Mu said (and he actually remains by the King's side)? Well, we'll see next week how so many resolutions will be compacted in one hour. But I love the episodes, I just find the dramatic scenes between the King and Dong Yoon too long while the other characters are watching them as they cry their frustrations out. One more week!
As I can't find any official platform, I am watching this series in Dramacool. Up to ep 25 are currently subbed. This is the last week of its run. Really excellent series!
Finished ep 5. I still love this series but my main concern is why the FL prevented her husband to tell the truth (well the premise is that she will get hurt more if she knows the truth), but she suffers everyday being paranoid of everyone around her. Or why can't the husband explain everything for the relationship to move forward. He obviously sees his wife acting paranoid. I hope the series doesn't revolve around this plot only, it will become tiring soon.
I have to lower my score for this one. Too bad, Deng Lun is a favorite of mine but this one started well but is now in the dragging phase and the characters are developing in other directions. Begonia started out strong and determined but lately, she is as soft as cotton. She can't even leave the business whose owners deceived her into a marriage. And she has developed a rouge for scars, it reinstated the reputation of the company but, while remaining in the company, she is still considered a simple, lowly employee. She is even bossed around by that other female spy employee, who was promoted for the sake of the story.
How about the discovery of Begonia? Won't she be given royalty or profit? Besides, there are other rouge companies around, Begonia sticking around to this company when she has succeeded in getting the divorce is contrary to her assertion that she will have a fresh start.
Anyway, will continue watching, but not having the same expectation as before.
Finished ep 10 but the series has yet to grow on me. Maybe I find the FL character annoying. She needs money, was helped upon, yet her actions are too willful. During the celebration after Lu Wei Xun won the second battle, why does she need to show off and drink all the wines, with everyone watching her including fans of the male lead. It's a celebration for the win. Likewise, I still cannot find enough reasons that would make the leads connect well or better yet like each other. Anyway, the chemistry may soon blossom in the coming episodes. Just hoping for the best, story-wise and development.

Sad to say I eventually dropped this after 4 episodes. Just one of the few I can't stand watching anymore. By the way, I am trying the 3 Japanese series in your watchlist. The synopsis seems cool!
The series is about to end next week but I think this is way too overrated. Young kids made this buzz-worthy in Korea but its TV ratings is way below expectations. And I now understand why! The plot is absurd. Well, I am glad for those who enjoyed this.
Those excellent dialogues as well as the small details (from small talks to facial expressions plus the music) dutifully and emotionally enacted so well by Gulf and Mew make this series a cut above the others. There is no doubt at this point, we deeply share their characters' pain and joy. Now personally, because of that deep attachment to the characters, I fear that since there are many episodes left, it is inevitable that there would be some more heartbreaking parts. But then again, this series is thoughtfully done!
This has a nice start. The first scenes give that big boom though for me, it could be shot better. That friend Manaow, herself a reincarnation from some other same series has too much scenes at the start which for me can be shortened a bit. (and that ad placement)
But the leads from the past and esp the present have a lot of promise in acting.. They can deliver emotions across. Plus they have that youthful charisma that make viewers root for them from the beginning. Hope the story pans out well, looking forward for next episode.
Oh my, why did I miss this drama before. Chanced upon this, afraid of the 133 episodes, tried a few episodes, and now I cannot let this series go! Few dramas can make me cry so hard, but in episode 4 alone my tears are already flowing hard! Great acting esp the young Joon Soo and his stepmom, their eyes and expressions alone will make you want to hug them for comfort!
